| Would it be possible to add an additional order status of "Hold Open." This
status should to go between processing and ready. In our store as in others
we are using a shipping request to put in a "Hold Open." My idea of using this
status is it would be controlled by the seller and used to be able to keep an
accurate status so as a seller I know what is going on. When a buyer requests
to have their order remain open I can then fill the first part of the order,
then rather then leaving the order in processing or ready, I can mark the status
as the "Hold Open." That way my partner does not have to wonder why an order
is in processing or in ready with or without shipping costs in it. I think that
it would just make things easier for the seller to keep track of orders. Sometimes
we have 20-25 open orders so this would be very helpful.

I just make extensive use of the "my order note" section, frequently putting
"hold" when that option is selected from the shipping options. Never had a problem
with communication between seller/picker. This is also useful for when buyers
need urgent service or a specific shipping carrier/service not defined, to make
extra certain these details are not overlooked.
A 'hold order' status would feel strange for me, since it would only apply to
certain orders. The other stages meanwhile, apply to every order every time.
Also many sellers do not allow order additions, I have experienced this, and
for at least one seller it is VERY strictly enforced. Certainly there is no
problem with it, but some buyers do get a little carried away (13 lots and 7
additions, over several weeks, it happens.)
I don't vote no, I just don't have a use for the function.

As both a buyer, who frequently has several orders open with different sellers
and as a seller... This would be an extremely useful!
