| I inherited a lot of Lego from my nephew. He is fond of figures & vehicles only.
I have no sets to part out, but about 400 heads, torsos, & headgear. It got me
thinking how it could be easier to part out categories. Is this something that
could be done or would it cause too many timeout errors? So, in my case, I would
want to part out the Minifig Heads Category. Go through & adjust the cost & quantity
of each, and list. To someone not inclined with the computer I do not know if
this is as easy to do as I state it. Just a suggestion. I would think it could
help a lot of folks to list quicker & more efficient. Thanks

It would probably drain a lot of BL resource and time out depending on category.
It would be cool though if you could do it offline with BrickStore....but that
isn't likely to happen considering the lack of updates to the software.
Alternately you (or someone else) *might* be able to create a way to pull the
BL catalog category info into an XML, which can be loaded into BrickStore and
then added to your inventory when you input quantities....just a thought.

| Good idea. If only I was savvy enough to figure that out, I would try it. I am
not the best with the computer. I was going to attempt Brickstore, but see mixed
feelings about it from some folks on here. Thanks for the tip Jonathan. Will
look into it.

| Brickstore is very useful for wanted lists and managing orders placed. I just
used it to order in another complete Corner Candy model (for another buyer) by
deleting parts from the original list as I placed orders. (You can do this on
BL as well but it is not nearly as handy or instnat). It also helped to keep
my costs straight for those parts as I ordered other items as well.
I've yet to use it for inventory update, but so far have found it to be a very
useful tool, even if not perfect.

| I've made a Brickstore inventory with every minifig head, if you want it. Message
me and I can email it to you.
All parts are set to yellow. The parts with an X for an image don't come in that
color, but I didn't manually change all those.
