Ok, I have two different ideas to solve the problems with wanted lists timing
out. Here is solution one, solution two will follow shortly, please just vote
on the one you think might be the best way to address this.

So, when a seller uploads a large number of lots, and then attempts to notify,
the system can time-out due to too many emails being sent. When a seller tries
to send the notifications, a certain number are sent, and then the system stops
them from being sent. If the seller tries again, the same number of notifications
are sent, and then the system stops them at about the same point. This appears
to the buyers that have received multible emails from said seller, that the seller
is trying to spam them, when in fact they are just trying to send out notifications
once. Here is the real problem, this seller can no longer send out correct notifications,
because the original notifications remain in the system as "unsent". If they
add more lots, and try again, it repeats the cycle shown above, sending the same
people notifications.

Please add a "reccommended maximum lot addition" that will fall within the limitations
of the Bricklink system, to the help section on mass uploads. This would require
the help of some sellers, perhaps keeping track of some uploads, and notifications.
the info could be used to come up with a realistic number of lots that most likely
would not time out.

Again, please check my other suggestion, and vote on the best idea to solve the
problem.

Thanks so much,

Darren

I wonder if this explains why I sometimes do not get notified.

I was poking around in a store today, and saw items I know I have a notify set
up for, yet never got a notification.

Another reason you may not get notified is if the seller retains a lot after
an item sells out and then just adds back to the old lot instead of uploading
the items in a fresh lot. I normally do this (although there are probably a
few sets I should create fresh listings for just to get some notifications out).

When I have large numbers of lots and it times out, I usually just hit refresh
and it continues on it's merry way to completion.
