| I have found that lot notifications, while a great concept, are now getting a
little annoying. Let's face it: I'm not selling an overwhelming selection of
vintage or rare parts/sets, or ridiculously huge bulk quantities of new elements.
So the notifications I send out probably aren't reaching as many people as one
seller who lists a sealed 1980's set and notifies hundreds of people with one
lot.
I am satisfied to know that my current prices/selection/service are drawing in
buyers on a regular basis, and I haven't noticed an influx of buyers shortly
after sending out a whole mess of lot notifications. So, I would like the option
to manually turn off lot notifications. I am also thinking of the many buyers
who get spammed with notifications that I have two 2 x 2 blue plates for sale
because I just parted out bits of one small set.
Default for current and new sellers is to have lot notifications on.
Option to turn off lot notifications to be found somewhere on the main selling
options page. (radio button)
Should lot notifications be reinstated, only those lots listed after reinstatement
will be available for notification.
Thank you,
- Chris

But... if those buyers didn't want to be notified when someone listed two 2x2
blue plates, they wouldn't have set up their notification options to get that
email.
Don't think of the notifications as something that you do as a seller, think
of them as something that potential buyers are requesting from BrickLink.
