  There are 2x decorated pieces 93273 in set 40442

I've only got a photo of one (found in job lot).

Can someone add this one to the catalogue?

Thanks

Forum catalog requests are only supposed to be used for requests that can't
be submitted with existing forms / funcionalities.

You can add this item to the catalog with your image and after it's approved
you can add it to the set inventory.

Here's an example

Part No: 93273pb175 Name: Slope, Curved 4 x 1 x 2/3 Double with White Feathers Pattern (Sticker) - Set 40481
*
93273pb175 Slope, Curved 4 x 1 x 2/3 Double with White Feathers Pattern (Sticker) - Set 40481
Parts: Slope, Curved, Decorated

One of these help pages also refer to this nice Stickered Part Guide

  I have 2 types of pans here and both have the same identification number, it
was good to at least write it down in the notes that there are 2 types, or divide
it into a) and b)

Part No: 4905 Name: Duplo Utensil Saucepan
*
4905 Duplo Utensil Saucepan
Parts: DUPLO, Figure Wear & Utensil

As far as I can see now, it looks like the second variant only exists in Medium
Green and Red.

Set No: 2689 Name: Savannah Animals
*
2689-1 (Inv) Savannah Animals
29 Parts, 3 Minifigures, 1994
Sets: DUPLO: DUPLO, Town: Safari

But I would like to be sure, before a possible split. Do you happen to have a
Medium Green in the older type and / or do you have the newer type in other colors
besides Medium Green?

The medium green image in the catalog looks very small (might have been the reason
that the difference wasn't noticed). Could you please submit a better image
in that color? If we would decide to split it can be moved to the new entry on
your name.

Thanks,
Diana

into one entry, with diffent colour options.

Reason, all item are the same, only difference is colour.

They have different part numbers.

BL has ignored stuff like this before because it’s not worth the hassle.

But if you want to keep item numbers just add them as alternates.

On closer inspection it is more than that. We don't have pictures of them
in box, but these listings are actually for Gear Sets. Those numbers are not
part numbers. They are product IDs.

Some sets can have alternate IDs too:

Set No: 4570178 Name: Minifigure, Series 1 (Box of 60)
*
4570178-1 (Inv) Minifigure, Series 1 (Box of 60)
60 Sets, 2010
Sets: Collectible Minifigures: Series 1 Minifigures

There are many gear items that only change in color and have different entries,
if the ID is saved as an alternate then we don't loose anything.

Missing also for merge these:

Gear No: LG11012 Name: Alarm Clock Radio - Yellow
*

The blue comes in 2 different packaging:

PD: Seems the press release images or the first units didn't have the logo
on the square

You must have pressed the [Post] button a few seconds before I did

Indeed just a few!

For gear items like this maybe there could be an exception on printing color.

I personally would like to do that, but it looks like we will have to discuss
that first.

How about waiting with another request untill the one before is completed?!

And about the other replies, I handled these this week (take a look at the change
logs and gear images added this week)

Gear No: sd508  Name: Storage Stool 38 x 38 x 37

SD508 Storage Stool 38 x 38 x 37

Gear: Photo Frame & Holder

Gear No: 52650 Name: Pen, Gel Pen
*
52650 Pen, Gel Pen
Gear: Pen

and the numbers are indeed added as alternate item numbers, although if there
are too many they are hidden behind the blue buttons

We are doing our best to get things done. There's no reason to say BL does
or did that. Let's focus on the present and please understand that changes
take time.

I'm not 100% confident with this one, for the images don't show all sides,
so there could be differences the images don't show. Like these are different
also (different on the BL images that is).

Gear No: LG11007 Name: Alarm Clock Radio - Blue
*
LG11007 Alarm Clock Radio - Blue
Gear: Clock
I found images online though, which do look the same as the other 3. So the BrickLink
image could be a render from a catalog or website and not represent the actual
item.

And then those will be left to merge just because of black instead of white printing.

I didn't have time to look for more differences.

Although I appreciate it very much that you are looking into this, I would also
appreciate it if you would wait with more requests like these. We already know
that there are more items that can be merged for the same reason, but doing that
takes a lot of time.

The actual merge doesn't take much time.

But before we can merge we have to check if they are indeed 100% the same (except
for the color), then save all info and images of the items that are going to
be merged. All wanted lists and items for sale have to be updated.

And after the merge all this info and images have to be added manually.
So it's not just pressing a button

with different colour options of red, blue, and yellow please.

No! There are 3 different numbers. Look at the price sticker.

The price sticker was most likely applied by a retailer, and “there is no functional
difference” other than colour.

In the merged listing please add all the original item numbers as alternates

I also merged the black 990177

Awesome to see! Super cool the box is still in good shape!
Also it happens that it should not be over here in Canada! (Look at item notes)

hmmm, who wrote that note?!

Set No: 263 Name: Kitchen Set
*
263-1 (Inv) Kitchen Set
172 Parts, 1974
Sets: Homemaker

Good question! Do you think that this is evidence enough to challenge the note?
The original owner bought it new at the store for their kid.

Real evidence would be if it shows up in Canadian catalogs or if the box shows
it was produced in Canada.

A total sum of zero evidence is given for this claim which is of course simply
False.

The original owner (who still owns it BTW) said that they bought it new from
a store for their kid. Plenty proof if you ask me.

Note has been changed, see

None of the sets 262, 263 or 264 (and other 26N series) appear on Canadian catalogs
but I had personally bought a lot from Vancouver including Canadian sets that
included 263 and 264.
Recently, somebody on the forum bought 263 from Ontario and I have a photo of
Canadian 264.

https://www.bricklink.com/messageThread.asp?ID=356029&nID=1463298

I don't see any proof that it was a Canadian set from origin.

Proof is given. These sets were bought and seen by Canadian back in 70s, from
Canada. This is called proof.

note should stay as it is.

For long time, I knew these two sets were sold in Canada as crystal evidence
has been there.

Though last night, having checked Canadian catalogs, I found out these two sets
also appear on the Canadian catalog from 1974.

It has been confirmed that both sets appear in the 1974 Canadian catalog (which
I don't have, so I couldn't check myself). It would have saved us both
a lot of time though, when you would have submitted this request with an image
of that catalog of 1974 you have.

Notes have been changed for both sets.

All sets 230, 231 and 232 were sold in Canada and appear in the Canadian catalog
of 1980.

They are indeed: Note changed.

Good question! Do you think that this is evidence enough to challenge the note?
The original owner bought it new at the store for their kid.

Real evidence would be if it shows up in Canadian catalogs or if the box shows
it was produced in Canada. Also, in that period Homemaker Sets / Building Sets
with People were sold with a different number in North America, like

Set No: 196 Name: Antique Car
*
196-1 (Inv) Antique Car
115 Parts, 1975
Sets: Building Set with People: Traffic
versus

Set No: 252 Name: Locomotive with Driver & Passenger
*
252-1 (Inv) Locomotive with Driver & Passenger
115 Parts, 1974
Sets: Building Set with People: Train
Although BrickLink shows a mix of set numbers sold in Europe & Canada versus
USA and Europe versus Canada & USA.

North America also had it's own unique sets later on, like

Set No: 5233  Name: Bedroom
*
5233-1 (Inv) Bedroom
156 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 1980
Sets: Homemaker

Set No: 5235  Name: Schoolroom
*
5235-2 (Inv) Schoolroom
231 Parts, 1982
Sets: Homemaker

So I don't see it as evidence enough to say that this set was also released
in Canada, unless I am missing Canadian info on your box images. Or maybe someone
could check all their Canadian catalogs of 1974 and up. I will ask Russell if
he has a Canadian catalog showing this set.

  Please add number 6470837 ass alternate number for Minifigure, Series 25 (Box
of 36).
All my boxes have this number.

Kind regards,
Jos

This is the element id (also known as PCC for parts) of the box. All boxes have
an element id, which we don't add as alternate item number.
