Come on guys! We can obviously see that fee is being put to good use... with
the constant inventory uploading errors for hours on end. AND don't forget
all those new seller additions to make our life easier such as "My Collection"
BE FAIR!!

I think you've got the wrong end of the stick...

The OP was obviously talking about Ebay....

Have I done something or is it BL?

Hello?

all these views and no suggestions?

This is very worrying, as I cannot find ANY dimensions for ANY of tyhe items
in my store.

Even some of the items are within the catalogue, and they have no dimensions
( like a friends mini-doll for example)

I'll have to close my store in the meantime, to avoid getting queries from
potential customers.

How can I know which sets have the most missing pieces in my inventory ?

Go to 'Inventory'

look at the right hand side, and you'll see "Show more options"

Click on that.

Scroll down, to where there is a box, underneath "Parts from set"

Input the set's number, and click.

That will show you what parts in your inventory that you have for that particular
set.

You'll need to 'Part-Out' that set into a 'wanted list'

Remove parts from your inventory as needed.

Don't forget to deduct them from your inventory otherwise you'll sell
them...

Have fun!

I'm more interested in the fact that 75% of his sales have resulted in positive
feedback. That's a very high feedback-to-sale ratio.

I think it could be that I'm in the UK, and UK buyers seem to be more willing
to post the feedbacks...??

Anyhow, I'm pleased that you figured out the ratio!

I've always done this since I started....

And yet, I see so many sellers try to 'justify' that they are allowed
to do this WHEN it's against PayPal's Terms and Conditions..... (alright,
some countries are excempt, but I don't even know anymore)

This, along with the VAT fiasco, where in some cases (most) I find myself getting
VAT added to the tune of nearly 70% of the value of the parts I wish to buy,
which I'm sure that the VAT is supposed to be 20%.(for bringing into the
UK that is.)

I've stopped selling to and very rarely buy from abroad now...

Just my 1p upon this....

You want to post a picture? That could help. What is the exact length?

I know COBI has some bars with a short thickening on one end.

Here's the picture

I've seen something similar.

The bar with clip has them.

Part No: 48729 Name: Bar 1L with Clip Mechanical Claw (Undetermined Type)
*
48729 Bar 1L with Clip Mechanical Claw (Undetermined Type)
Parts: Bar

You can see it on the main image

Saying that, I've not seen that on the normal 'Bar' items, so it's
probable that it's a mold variation, which hasn't been noticed?

Or, you have a clone variation.

I have a couple of black bar 3L

Part No: 87994 Name: Bar 3L (Bar Arrow)

Parts: Bar {Black}

but they are notched near one end, is it a variant or a clone?

Thanks in advance

Sounds like a clone variant, because if you look in the Bar category, there are
none with that description.

Here's to hoping the Kakapo makes it! Also, am I missing something about
that safe? I was not expecting that one to be that popular.

The Kakapo is the only one I went for, and I shall really enjoy making that if
it gets made.

The others didn't do anything for me, but I'll be getting the ruined

  Hello.

I've just had a quote request for a set of instructions for the 7133 set
(Bounty Hunter Pursuit)

According to the catalogue, they are 288mm (Dim X) 287mm (dim Y) and 10mm (Dim
z)

This doesn't make sense as I can see that they are way smaller than this,
especially with the Z axis.

I measure them to be, Length 212, Height 143, and 3mm thick

Now, as I'm not as brainy as BL likes to think we are, but surely using the
x-y-z method to show the size of any item isn't really understandable, but
using Length, Height and Depth (thickness) is better for instructions rather
than the used method?

Please re-adjust the measurements for these instructions.

Regards,

Paul

Here is an explanation:

https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2510#Instructions

And on the catalog submission form you can see we do use Width x Height x Thickness:

https://www.bricklink.com/catalogReq.asp?itemType=S

As Wildchicken mentioned, the BrickLink Instant Checkout logic will use 1 cm
x the largest 2 dimensions of the set box in cases where the instructions dimensions
have not been otherwise entered. I would recommend adding Packing Dimensions
to the Catalog for all the instruction books you have in stock if you plan on
making them available for Instant Checkout.

I see now where I was getting it wrong, as the change request form doesn't
show a separate entry for instructions, so one has to do it through the change
set point...

I suspect that due to this confusion, this is where people can't find out
where to do it quickly.(like where we can for parts, minifigs etc...)

Maybe add a separate entry point for instructions?

See if you can find them...and any purchases made by the end of June 2021 will

I found 1 of your "UK only seller" of 1....

I'm not surprised really, but take a look at my store, and you'll find

Just parted out 4 sealed sets of the 75940, and 2 had the above tile.
Hence this inventory addition request.

Looking at your store's shipping methods, it looks like you only have 'Request
an Invoice' for non-UK buyers. Is that what you expect?

Yes, this is what I had in the past, and it worked well.

Is that what your buyers are expecting or are they expecting to choose a shipping method at the time of order and use instant checkout?

I think that may be indeed the case.

Are they getting any error messages?

Yes, "The seller can't ship your order with any of the shipping methods available."

Now, the order I had from the USA is a small Large Letter package worthy, so
orders can be placed.

Really getting frustrating now.

This is puzzling me, as I closed the option for international buyers to purchase
from me due to Brexit and the mess that the VAT debacle was implemented.

Now that BL has stated that they will collect the VAT and forward it to the IRS,
I have decided to re-open to international buyers.

Lo and Behold, I get an order from the USA, and yet, I get messages from Russia
and Australia stating that they can't place orders.

What is going on?

I've looked at my shipping settings and they look okay to me.

Do I need to do other stuff?

We have read it. We only have 7 open catalog requests, including yours:

https://www.bricklink.com/messageList.asp?overTP=Y&q=&qS=Y&qM=Y&msgID=&uName=&ID=24&status=0&v=c&max=50

Your request involves significant re-categorizations in multiple categories,
so it likely won't occur in the near future. Frustrating, I know, but we
have 20+ years of confusion to work through. We're already planning to move
nearly 1,000 parts next month:

https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2487

Guess I'll be sitting on this part for awhile then....
