  Hi all,

The 2015 Technic Turntable with 60 teeth (Part #18938) has been replaced by its
redesign, Part #88738.

https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=18938#T=P

Currently, #88738 is listed as an Alternate Item No for #18938. However, I own
both versions and they are not quite the same. I've attached several images
to this message to show the difference.

Part #18938 has bevel teeth, whereas the redesigned turntable #88738 has straight
teeth. Another way to tell these two apart are the amount of snap-fit joints:
the newer turntable has six of them, whereas the older one only has four.

The main reason why I request to split #88738 from #18938 is because #88738 is
functionally different from its predecessor.

#18938 has bevel teeth, meaning that other bevel gears can be used perpendicular
to it. However, because of the wider teeth, this turntable is incompatible with
Technic chain links (#3711, #3249 and #3873), which only fit spur gears.

#88738 has the same teeth width as other Technic spur gears, which matches the
older 56 teeth turntables (#2855 and #48168). This means that the newer turntable
is compatible with Technic chain links, but has lost the bevel teeth in the process.

As for the exact year when #88738 was introduced, it is probably 2022?
- I've checked my 2020 copy of #51515 (Robot Inventor), and it contains #18938.
- Looking at reviews of 2021's #75313 (UCS AT-AT), it also contains #18938.
- Reviews of 2022's #76210 (Hulkbuster) shows #88738.
- Reviews of 2023 sets, such as #42158 (NASA Mars Rover Perseverance) and #75362
(Ahsoka Tano's T-6 Jedi Shuttle), shows that these sets also include #88738.

How I got my hands on #88738 was through buying these from LEGO's online
Pick a Brick last week, in research of this topic. They no longer have #18938
for sale, which implies it is out of production.

As a normal Bricklink user, I cannot request to add part #88738 to the catalog,
because it is listed as the Alternate Item No for #18938. If possible, I would
prefer #88738 to have its own entry in the catalog because it is functionally
different enough to justify it. I'll leave it to our admins to decide.

Thank you in advance and for reading this.

Why aren't the stickered pieces listed as part of the inventory for set 41442?

Because no one has submitted an Inventory Change Request to have them added.

Just submitted it.

I even in the right area to add a new counterpart or image. I would like a couple

is nothing else for us to do.

Unless I’m mistaken that dosnt work for all of them

brickstore tho the parting out sets feature is a bit of a learning curve. otherwise
just dont close the tab (difficult tho as I've done it myself many times
sometimes losing a lot of work) and then return when you are ready

There is a project on hold to fix this. Just need the time...

Part 41673 is called "BION. HEAD, INTERM. PLATE" and is contextual to
2002.
I don't know whether this krana holder is an assembly, but I have the following
IDs:

4163137 - 2 Grey
4164414 - 1 White
4164415 - 23 Bright Blue
4164416 - 25 Earth Orange
4164417 - 28 Dark Green
4164418 - 21 Bright Red

4163138 - 27 Dark Grey

Good find!
I don't see any evidence that they're an assembly.

There is a project on hold to fix this. Just need the time...

I don't know whether this krana holder is an assembly, but I have the following

4164416 - 25 Earth Orange

Please note that the ID can still be changed by the catalog admins, this can
sometimes take a while, but if there's a way for someone to identify it in
the catalog properly, then at least the temporary listing will be visible in
the reference catalog.

I don't recall offhand, but it might be possible for you to receive notifications
of changes to the item ID. Please check back as sometimes item ID will change
as deemed necessary, often months or even years later.

Cheers ...

  Hello,

Today I acquired the latest "25 Years of Lego Star Wars" promotional
item and I'm having doubts on correct categorisation.

The packaging says: "Fabric Sticker", but the item looks more like a
patch, rather than a sticker. Also, it's made of fabric, not sewed, like
patches usually are, and not paper, as sticker usually are.

That being said, I have doubts how to correctly add the item to the catalog.
What do you guys think? Does it belong to "Sticker, Collectible Sticker"
category, or "Patch & Pin"? Please also suggest an Item ID, as this isn't
obvious neither in both those categories...

Attaching two photos of the actual item

Hi, well it is not a Patch, neither a Pin. It is actually a sticker, however
it is a fabric sticker. But still a sticker. So I would suggest it belongs to
"Sticker, Collectible sticker". An item ID suggestions, I leave it for
someone else to comment

Use the set change request forums instruction line not the gear one and just
type in 70356 and make sure -1 is selected in the box beside the set number and
it will work

Which preset am I supposed to select when submitting a change request for instructions?

I assumed it was just the Catalog one.
However when submitting it tells me; "Item No to Change does not exist in
Catalog."
I am copy/pasting them Item No from the existing entry.

I've tried changing to Book rather than Catalog as well as attempting to
change the Item No by removing both the -1 and "Instructions Entry" Text.
I did not expect these to work and indeed they did not.

Looking at the Catalog Add or Change menu, there is an option for instructions
under Add Image but not under Change Item.

I just wanted to submit weight and dimensions for an instruction manual.
Perhaps I am missing something. But the guide just leads to the same Change Item
form, which is where I started.

Now we currently have for the same range

3068bp

This is an error.

The error there is yours. You shouldn't be searching "3068bp*".
If you go look, nothing is named that. They just put the old numbers in as
alternates so people who were unaware of the change will be able to find things
labelled with the old numbers. You are aware of the change and should only be
searching "3068p*".

If 3068b doesn't exist anymore ALL the 3068bp should change to 3068p

They did. You are finding the same pieces in both searches, except the "bp"
search will omit new ones going forward and also the peeron, LDraw, and I guess
Star Wars ones.

But old tiles are under 3068bp.

Only in their alternate numbers.

  Do you understand now?

Yes

The search is fine, it is searching alternate numbers. So those 3068p- that have
a 3068bp- alternate number will be returned on a search for 3068bp*

This works only for OLD tiles.

So if you look for the 3068bp* in your inventory, only some will spawn.
This is wrong.

3068b doesn't exist anymore, now it is just 3068 to conform with LEGO number.

We have now 3068 for the regular current tile with groove and 3068a for the old

You are right.

The problem is not the result, but the research.

3068bp* finds SOME result of the 3068p* but not ALL THE results.

The search is broken, not the inventory

The old item numbers 3068bpXXXX were put as Alternate IDs in the corresponding
parts to help locate them for users who don't know about the changes.

BIONICLE fans about these, Canada had the boxed versions as well. Additionally,
LEGO's naming scheme uses the distinguishment of "IN" and "AM",
rather than "NA" or "US", which leads me to believe that they
were available in both South and North America.
  4160065 BAG 8530, AM

Considering that Connecticut became HQ for LEGO's activities in all of America
around 1998, this also tracks: https://www.lego.com/en-gb/history/articles/g-production-in-brazil/

Further-more, I have found no evidence of 8530, 8559, 8597, or 8600 existing
in boxed form. Just Google them, there are no photos of them - because they do
not exist.

  Hello!

I noticed that some sets like the Daily Bugle (76178-1) list the Doc Ock figure
with the arms included, but the one from the Monster Truck set (76174-1) didn't.

Could it be at least included as an alternate to the minifigure alone? It makes
more sense to me for the figure to be offered both with and without the mechanical
arms, but the listings including these are inconsistent.

Thanks for the consideration and any feedback about the situation.

Nathan (Peteparker)

Our current catalog guidelines for minifigures make the condition of handheld
items being added to the minifigure in the instructions the finishing point of
the minifigure build. So, for Doc Ock from

Set No: 76174 Name: Spider-Man's Monster Truck vs. Mysterio
*
76174-1 (Inv) Spider-Man's Monster Truck vs. Mysterio
422 Parts, 4 Minifigures, 2021
Sets: Super Heroes: Spider-Man
the figure is considered complete on page 5 before the arms are built and added
on the subsequent pages.

Randy

Yeah, but that’s 800x600 (or 600x800).  I believe the catalogue team sometimes
accepts better images.

Yes. The question is how do I upload the 1600x1050 version? The text is hard
to read on the current 800x525.

is not a good solution: it reduces images to a width of 640.

  Hi all,

I have discovered that the LEGO House Tile has 2 versions, see below.

*
4162pb110 Tile 1 x 8 with White 'LEGO House' Pattern (Undetermined Type)
Parts: Tile, Decorated {Black}
Marked for Deletion

Appeared in sets 40502, 40501, 4000010 and 21037, with PCC 6089148.

And it was updated to:

Part No: 4162pb307 Name: Tile 1 x 8 with White 'LEGO House', Bold Font Pattern
*
4162pb307 Tile 1 x 8 with White 'LEGO House', Bold Font Pattern
Parts: Tile, Decorated {Black}

And this newer version appears in sets 40503, 40563, 40504 and 40505, with PCC
6320270.

Once the newer tile has been approved I will update the set inventories above
accordingly, and add a relationship between the 2 tiles.

I have put in a request for the version currently in the catalogue to change
it's name and remove it's second PCC.

Any questions just let me know!

Thanks,

Thanks all!

You have to submit images before your parts can be approved.

The only problem is that the person who applied the stickers didn’t do a very
good job.

You can use some tweezers to re-align the sticker. If there is dirt / hair or
such on the part of the sticker that was hanging over the edge, you can use any
flat object to scrape off the debris. If done gently enough, the sticky glue
should still be viable and will re-stick very well.

I do this all the time and it works very well. I use my fingernail to scrape
the debris off as I have semi-long nails.

If you are looking to sell a misprinted item, you can list it under the normal
item category and add to your description that the part is a misprint. You can
also use your own photo for that item.

You could also list it under custom with the item number, but fewer custom items
get hits when someone searches.

Submitting an inventory change request does automatically generate a forum post,
but adding an item to the catalog does not generate a post.

I was trying to add part 45677pb161 (I can't remember the exact number at
the end, but I looked at recent sticker numbers from that part number and chose
the next one) from D.Va & Reinhardt set 75973. It seemed like it allowed me to
submit it and to submit the image. Just double-checking Jennifer's link
explaining how to upload stickered parts was super helpful!

Thanks,

Beth

You think that’s bad. This sticker was so far off it’s mark that it ended up
on a whole other part.

And not wholy on that part

Whom did you get the parts from?  Mr Magoo?

Hi,

I had to cancel your post: link to sites selling LEGO are forbidden here.

Also, the Suggestions topic is for suggestions about the website.  Questions
about the catalogue are better placed in the Catalog topics or in the more general
Help section.

As for the part you linked to, sorting trays are in the Gear section.  You should
find it here: https://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?catType=G&catString=1092

What kind of gear you can see in the Topic.
Here the current HP where you can purchase these items.

I uploaded the images to BL. Now is there an option for someone else who has
the part to add a different main image later? Thanks!

Yup! Any image can be updated if a better one is provided

That shouldn’t be too hard.

The torsos are, in my opinion, unused keyring torsos. I also own these torsos

Ah. So...I could just use the plain 553 entry to add that part in Set 22011 to
my inventory -- assuming that entry also pertains to any 553 having axle
holes -- and no need for a CCR?

Hoping that this is the case.
