The dirty part i can't comment on. In the photo all i see is a bit of cardboard
dust which is perfectly normal on parts that come loose in a set. You just blow
it away. I have never seen a 'dirty' part in all my years using Lego.
Though you never know.
The scuff marks on the aircraft fuselage, whilst i can't see them in the
photo, are normal too. Black is the one of the worst offenders, and black parts
with large smooth areas even worse again. Between manufacturing, processing
and packaging, parts are constantly banging together causing this. I have had
to sell many a black part from a new set as a used part due to scuff marks and
scratches.
Whether it is acceptable or not is up to the individual. Lots of pros and
cons on both sides. Whilst i don't want to have scuff marks or scratches
on a windshield of a $500 set (which Lego has been trying to rectify to their
credit), a few scuff marks on a set like you have, which is a $20 set, well it
happens. The added costs to stop this happening would not be viable.

No, it’s “Simon”: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simon_(game)
It’s based on the children game: the machine lights the 4 coloured buttons in
a sequence, with accompanying sounds, and you need to repeat the sequence by
hitting the buttons.

I bought it for myself in the fall of 1998 when I was 23 years old.
I never had a single LEGO set growing up. But don't feel bad for me. The
toys I grew up with were Transformers (had almost every single character), He-Man
and the Masters of the Universe (had almost every single character), Hasbro Star
Wars (had almost all of the original figures, vehicles, and play sets), Micro
Machines, and yes... GoBots.

oh my goodness! I love He-Man! I have nearly have all of the Motu origins figures!
and am also a huge fan of Go-Bots! this is my collection.

I think the first lego item I was given was 6007
but the real building set was 6918
My grandma gave it to me for Christmas, no idea how she decided on that specific
set, but I'm sure glad she did!
Made it through my set selloff and dark ages. Pulled it out and built it again
a couple years ago, still in great shape.

| When I was a kid I played with Lego but that was back in the late 60's
early 70's when themes were not that prevalent and there wasn't much
of a variety of pieces so I just remember having Lego bricks in general and after
many years of not playing with them they just stayed in the past. Then about
15 years ago I had a friend that while being in his late 20's still loved
Lego. His appreciation of Lego would cause me to every once
in a while to stroll down the Lego isle at the local Walmart store and I eventually
decided to give Lego a try and bought this set:
I was surprised at the tolerances used in the making of the pieces, the way doors
would pass by other pieces soo smoothly without catching on other pieces. Unlike
almost all other plastic toys, Lego seemed to care about quality. Another thing
that I really appreciated was how relaxing I found it to be to just sit down
after work and build part of a set while listening to music or watching a video.
I really enjoyed that.

I got it brand new for my 6th birthday.
However I had been given used Lego prior to this, which included -

I bought it for myself in the fall of 1998 when I was 23 years old.
I never had a single LEGO set growing up. But don't feel bad for me. The
toys I grew up with were Transformers (had almost every single character), He-Man
and the Masters of the Universe (had almost every single character), Hasbro Star
Wars (had almost all of the original figures, vehicles, and play sets), Micro
Machines, and yes... GoBots.
|
My very first set was 6644 Road Rebel and I had to share it with my sister.
With that first set we were both addicted! Every Christmas and Birthday all
we wanted was LEGO!

Showing my age here, but
Recently i purchased my nephews collective lego collection, there is 3 brothers
and there not interested in it anymore. I was unaware that a small box of Lego
that was mine as a child was mixed in with it.
So i ended up finding numerous old space pieces in there, including many decorated
parts in great condition from this original set, more than 40 years later!!

I just found in a 5 dollar thrift store bag,
Shocked at how much it was worth!
Fantastic condition too for age!

the box would look like as a spaceship, but I am not finding where Buzz was ever
depicted in a ship like that. I didn't watch Star Command, but it looks

who watched the show know if they ever used smaller maybe fighter craft that

All of the other sets that came out that year depict events in one of the movies.

Creative liberty with a fun recreation of Buzz’s retail packaging as portrayed
in Toy Story 1 and 2, would be my guess. Don't know. Though I believe LEGO
didn’t start marketing the franchise until Toy Story 2, some five years after
the sensation of the first movie. Many missed that train, or were just late in
understanding the phenomenon that Steve Job’s Pixar was creating
Has it been nearly 30 years since Pixar hit the scene with their new exciting
tech, with Toy Story?! Wow! Unlike Buzz’s paper ship, time really does fly
I remember enjoying the movie, especially Tim Allen’s lines. Beyond the tech,
I feel that the personality Tim Allen gave to Buzz, really helped the film to
hit big. Never did see any of the subsequent movies or sequels though. Maybe

Our policy is that we do not accept them into the catalog. Easy peasy.

That would be a very short sighted approach since if the printing is being carried
out by Lego themselves then there should be no reason not to embrace them by
listing as a custom Item.
Any suspicious print designs can be verified checked with what is officially

shouldn't be hard to spot anyway!

The sheer number of variations for these minifigures is probably the reason they
are not included in the catalog. There are over 500,000 possible variations in
this program - before you factor in the custom labels that can be printed on
the torso.

The same way we prove or verify all parts on Bricklink are officially produced
by Lego....
WITH DIFFICULTY!
The site relies on its community to report what they consider to be suspicious/counterfeit
usually from inspection of goods upon receipt or other suspicious activities.
A handful of custom printed Torsos with basic text and/or a decal design from
a limited selection of known options to be found on the Lego site are unlikely
to be counterfeit worthy!
However eyebrows may start to be raised if a seller starts listing custom printed
torsos with the superman Logo on the front!

It will be interesting to see how often people try to add them to the catalogue,
or if any get listed under current listings especially where they have official
prints.
For example, someone could have the "apples" torso printed in green on
the front of the torso and blue on the reverse and then try to list this as a
rare misprint as the back colour is incorrect.
Or have "LEGO STORE 2012 City Name" printed on the back and claim it
is a rare giveaway, or try and replicate existing store torsos.

I have not seen anything officially but I suspect they will have to do something
like they did for the EXOFORCE tiles with serial numbers. They listed them as
a single part even though they have unique numbers and you either have to show
your own photo or list the details in the description. I don't see another
way. As cool as these custom figs can be it will be ripe with abuse and counterfeits
I think. I already see on other sites many rare official parts being reproduced
poorly using it and then sold as the official versions. TONS of rare clone trooper
torsos popping up at auction already. Part of me thinks maybe they shouldn't
list them at all because the potential for fan made things that get into copywrite
areas could also be an issue.

i think you mean motor 2838c01.
I would not make it open and destroy it, also they are not really high pricing

| A year ago, on the internet, I found some very rare and unknown Lego sets: the
Lego Batman Movie Promotional Cubes.
I became very interested about their history.
They are cubic dioramas, similar to the Cubedude sets, with four or five Minifigures
inside and a small build representing a scene from the movie.
There are a few diferent designs and they were gifts from Warner, given out on
a few diferent occasions and promotions. The attached photos are examples these
cubes.
Despite many hours of reaserch, because of their rarety, I coudn't find much
info.
I am asking for ANY further information about these 2017 Lego Batman Movie Promo
Cubes.
Any information would be appreciated.
Including: photos of the Cubes or their original boxes or accessories,
any links mentioning these Cubes, old sales and their sale prices,
if someone actually owns one or saw one and indeed any other infomation.
No spam messages, please!

I have been able to find images from Google (and this thread) four boxes that
contain unique minifigures: one on a couch (female) and three "red carpet
style" (2 male, one female). Being a completionist with my DC Minifigure
collection, I attempted to find the parts to make those unique minifigures for
my collection. Unfortunately, I could not find matches for any of the torsos
on Bricklink. I am under the impression that the torsos released with these boxes
must be unique and made specifically for this promotion.

I use it all the time, the bag I have used a couple of times and the duster.
Didn't win any contest, I received it from the Lego group after an interview
with a lady from the Lego group. Can't remember her name but this was shortly
after Lego purchased Bricklink and they were interviewing some Bricklink members
and why they use Bricklink and so forth. Very cool when it came in the mail and
thankful that they send it to us .

My memory is pretty bad too but I still have the emails, the photo is on my phone
so it's dated and the invoice is in with a couple of items I haven't
used yet. Box is still here, minus label and ready to use one day for the right
size order
Great pack though and a really nice surprise because not only do I never win
anything, I think I only did the first weekly challenge/quiz. I meant to do the
rest but life got busy and I forgot.

Mine shipped around 3 months after they asked me to provide my details and it
got here about a week later, photo is from Nov 18, 2020. I got the email a couple

No problem with the water bottle but I always thought the brush was for keyboards

Thank you for your reply.
There were 7 made and given out of one of the cube designs.
There are, from my knowledge, a minium of 5 designs,
and each design was given out in their own limited amount.
I don't yet have the information of how many cubes were given out of every
design, but the cube in this sale appears to be the rarest of them all.
This is a low price for such a unique Lego item, comparing with the Darth Vader
or the Yoda dioramas.
|
Hard to find LEGO Star Wars items will nearly always be worth more than hard
to find LEGO Batman Movie items produced in the same numbers.
If you think £22K is a low price for it, then buy the one on ebay. Although I
presume you are the seller if you think that is cheap, and that this one is rarer
than the others.
