Hello everyone. On 15th of March i ordered some lego pieces together with a set
from a seller. He said that my order should arrive in 2-4 days. The track ID
was not provided and he informed me about it at the start. Once the 4 days passed,
my package didn’t arrive, and the seller told me to be patient. One month has
passed and no sound of the package. Did I get scammed?? I’m very furious and
the seller says that he can’t help me from then on. What the hell am I supposed
to do?He said that there is no receipt whatsoever because there was no track
ID in the first place.

Open an NSS (Non-Shipping Seller) and, if you paid via PayPal, start a PayPal
case.

I think it's unlikely that you actually got scammed, but the seller is still
responsible for the package getting to the buyer.

We have plenty of magazines with that in France, I believe in complete Europe.
Lots of little City, Star Wars, Ninjago, Legends of Chima, Friends, Elves, Technic...
polybags
It's almost always cheaper to buy the complete magazine instead of just buying
the minifigure here

Magazines; and they're not cheap (at least not in Canada).

Yep - they appear to be primarily available in Europe for some unknown (I presume
licensing) reason.

Nowadays the foil packs are actually paper though. The mags themselves can be
picked up in most newsagents and supermarkets in the UK for around £5. Themes
include Batman, Star Wars Jurassic World, Ninjago, City etc.

Two classic solutions - rubbing alcohol and/or hairspray! Seriously. These get
off even most permanent marker stains from pretty much everything (except clothing).

Hi,

If you have an XML and there are items in that xml that not found can you upload
regardless and ignore the incorrect parts?

For some reason a Moc I purchased must have either an old colour or part number
and it blocks the import, I can edit the xml but curios if there is a simple
tick box option?

Many thanks in advance.

Try eucalyptus oil - it works for the lego paint so should work for other markers.

PS I hope that you can find some eucalyptus oil - its plentiful down under

You could try wd40. I haven’t tested it on Lego elements.

Try some dawn dish soap. Sometimes it doesn't work and I use the edge of
a razor blade to gently debride a thin shaving of the stain. I only do this on
my personal ones, of course, not ones for resale.

Best wishes, have an epic day!

So yes

As Nubs is showing you, or the old school method by adding a comma followed by
the desired color ID number onto the part number within the brackets, as I do.

When one posts a Forum message that includes a Part Macro tag, a problem window
pops up if a color was not specified in the tag. Naturally, the window does not
include instructions as to how to actually do this. That would be so uncharacteristic.

So, what's the format, please?

Is it allowed on bricklink?

I don't like it, only because if a customer has an issue with quality
or packaging for shipping I would like for them to contact me directly. They
could provide photos of anything broken or damaged in route. Perhaps one day
when my store is big enough I will feel more comfortable with drop shipping.

Have an epic day!

If it is shipped outside your own country, you will still have to add customs
info including price.

I believe it's allowed, one wishes that buyers would be a bit more honest
though.

But a nothing says a dropshipper couldn't order from bricklink. Besides there
are tons of different reasons to ship to a different address: a gift, item you
were short on, completing a transaction, trades how and shipping to hotel, business
partner, relative that doesn't like the internet, friend that doesn't
want the hassle to setup a bl account.

Yes, to be clear a BrickLink seller can't dropship since BL sellers can only
list what they actually have in inventory (maybe an exception can be made for
inventory mistakes, etc.). But there isn't anything stopping people from
listing on e.g., eBay, and then dropshipping from BL.

Yes exactly this ^

Bricklink doesn't want people selling what they don't have to hand here
because that can create a bad buyer experience. However it will be of little
concern to Bricklink if the buyer is shopping from another platform and the goods
are drop shipping from Bricklink

The only time we step in is if the dropshipper is a professional buyer and starts
giving sellers a hard time about orders that didn't go well. Otherwise, we
tolerate them - because a lot of our sellers appreciate the business.

Yes personally I'm happy to take orders from drop shippers but for my own
sales I prefer to hold the inventory else things can get messy with sourcing
as well as jeopardizing own feedback when relying too heavily on the service
and accuracy of others

Yes, it is allowed. If it is a dropshipper, you may get a nice repeat customer.
Also, just because the buyer's info is different doesn't automatically
make it a dropship. It could be a seller short of parts on an order who wants
you to ship the missing parts directly to their customer.

I don't care where I send the item and I don't care if a dropshipper
orders from me. I just think it's lame when they dissemble and claim they're
sending a gift.

I understand where you are coming from, but to a certain point there is no need
for going into major detail about one's life or need to share. There's
no need to say "I'm at my parents after dad passed away, my brother and
I are trying to complete a set that has sentimental value." , "it's
a gift" should suffice.

I have only noticed this behaviour with shop's from Norway. Why is this?

NOK, Nokia Oyj shares?

Okay, I get it, Norwegian Krone Euro conversions have been somewhat wonky for
reasons outside the sphere of influence of BL and third party, and beyond whatever
site issue there might also be.

The conversion rates are just fine. Both listings are correctly converted. To
me this looks like a sorting issue in BL.

I see. Interesting

I clearly sense a dropshipping case here.

Is it allowed on bricklink?

You can't list items you don't own, but that is in the sellers control.
1.2.8 Exact quantity: The quantity of the item that you are listing for sale
must not be greater than the quantity you have physical possession of in the
country in which your BrickLink store is registered. Drop shipping is not permitted.
The only exception to this is a custom fan magazine that has to be pre-ordered
and the Buyer is made aware of this in the item description.

  Hello,

I'm looking at building up the parts for the UCS Y-Wing (2nd edition, 75181).
I already have set 75172 which is the play scale Y-Wing which I'm looking
at breaking down to give me some of the parts for the UCS scale version.

Is their a way, without going through it line by line, to part out the pieces
from the playscale set into my UCS wanted list?

Many thanks,

Hi,

To part out a set: hover over the white, heart-shaped “Want” icon and click “Part
Out”: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/wanted/partout.page

But you can’t “apply” a Wanted List (or an inventory) to another one on BrickLink,
to remove the parts you already have.  You need to use third-party tools, like
BrickStore (application) or Rebrickable (website).

This is happening when I am only trying to add a remark. There are no duplicate

Might it be because the status was set to Updated or is that normal?

But the easiest explanation is that the buyer simply forgot to use "Leave

"Royal mail" which then waits for its payment onsite?

What's the current shipping method for the 1st order?

was thinking the same thing, perhaps the buyer chose a different shipping option
which then prevented it from combining

Thanks for the input and explaining Open orders a little better.
The orders were from a UK buyer to my UK store and for a few low value items
well below £150 so I don’t believe it to be VAT related.

As the seller I didn’t change the status at all. I’m confused and the buyer is
confused why when the buyer added the 3rd batch it didn’t go into the open order
but created a new order.

Might it be because the status was set to Updated or is that normal?

Updated is normal, because the buyer "updated" the order when adding
a 2nd batch.

And anyway, Updated isn't a "closing" status unlike: Paid, Packed,
Shipped, Received or Completed (of course).

Again, I've never seen a glitch from BrickLink on adding to an order. There's
some logical reason.

It could also be due to some limitation in weight, size, min, max or such in
your available Shipping Methods?
