Seems to me anyway, that simply restricting zero feedback members the use of
links in the forum, would immediately eliminate most current spam posts and deter
future ones. Haven’t been looking that close at these posts, but from what I’ve
seen, it’s presenting links they have as a common purpose or motivation. Removing
motivation is often a subtle yet effective tack in life.
Could be that it’s not all that simple, technically to implement. I don’t know,
but if doable, why not? Personally don't find the spam posts all that bothersome.
Many do though, and if there's an easy fix to tidy things up a bit...

Hmm, to put these arches on the ‘manor’ part, you need other small parts that
are not in the inventory: a 1x2 brick, 2x 1x1 plates and 2x (1 or 2)x3 plates….
You could do without the (1 or 2)x3 plates with the Extra 1x2 and 2x2….
And you can get one 2x3 if you can use the (1 and 2)x10 plates instead of the
(1x2)x8 ones on the walkway… but it doesn’t seem like they did that on the pic.
A head-scatcher….

I believe it's allowed, one wishes that buyers would be a bit more honest

But a nothing says a dropshipper couldn't order from bricklink. Besides there
are tons of different reasons to ship to a different address: a gift, item you

|
Yes, to be clear a BrickLink seller can't dropship since BL sellers can only
list what they actually have in inventory (maybe an exception can be made for
inventory mistakes, etc.). But there isn't anything stopping people from
listing on e.g., eBay, and then dropshipping from BL.

You can't list items you don't own, but that is in the sellers control.
1.2.8 Exact quantity: The quantity of the item that you are listing for sale
must not be greater than the quantity you have physical possession of in the
country in which your BrickLink store is registered. Drop shipping is not permitted.
The only exception to this is a custom fan magazine that has to be pre-ordered
and the Buyer is made aware of this in the item description.
But a nothing says a dropshipper couldn't order from bricklink. Besides there

How much data space would it take to have two catalogs? One for detailed data
and one for generalized marketplace?
|
The problem isn’t space, it’s consistency and workload.
Basically, you’re doubling the workload.
If you make a change in one of the catalogues, should it be echoed on the other
one? To which extent? Can that be automatized?
In the software world, that’s called a fork (external / by another team) or a
branch (internal / by the same team).
We have tools and procedures to follow and “port” (transfer, apply) changes between
branches / versions / forks (‘diffs’ and ‘patches’ and ‘version control system’
(git, bitkeeper, mercurial…)).
And those tools are good and ‘smart.’ They can work around other changes and
differences that shouldn’t change (and (good) devs are lazy: everything that
can be automatized is automatized).
But we ALWAYS need to check the changes. The changes may apply without a hitch…
but they may break the program because they contradict an older change. That
can also be automatized, to some extent. But it’s work again and you can never
predict everything so you always need to check.
Duplicating a database and the changes on the database can be automitized in
the same way: changes are just instructions, like a program. So the same porting
solutions & problems apply: Should that change be applied? Can it be applied?
Should another change be applied instead? And you always need to check, check,
check.
Also, you first need to record these instructions. AFAIK, BrickLink’s changelogs
aren’t complete / sufficient.
TL;DR: It’s the same as the work done by Rebrickable: another catalogue, with
conversion tables, with changes to follow / apply or not, with errors or misses…,
and with a full team to manage it.
It could be a bit simpler and you could save a bit by keeping it inside BrickLink,
but that won’t remove most of the work needed.
Another possibility is to handle that in only one “catalogue,” with two (or more!)
different ways to present its info. The work would be done only once, in the
more detailed catalogue, and there would be mechanisms to hide the details to
the users. But that’s the same as the “umbrella part” solution: you need to
change the whole structure of the database and the way the site works. That
can’t be patched onto what exists now (which is already patched enough with spaghetti
and sauce as it is).

Hi,
To part out a set: hover over the white, heart-shaped “Want” icon and click “Part
Out”: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/wanted/partout.page
But you can’t “apply” a Wanted List (or an inventory) to another one on BrickLink,
to remove the parts you already have. You need to use third-party tools, like
BrickStore (application) or Rebrickable (website).

I don't think it is possible to send money by email.
|
In Canada we have an email transfer service through our banks where we can send
money, it is very handy but adds another dimension for potential scams
Have an epic day!
|
Interac eTransfer doesn't send money via email. It uses the wire transfer
system just like all other payment systems. It's no different than BillPay
in the U.S. or IBAN in Europe, PayPal, Zelle, etc. It just uses the email/phone
number in place of the routing and account numbers.

Sind diese dann neu oder gebraucht?

As per bricklink terms those are still new so long as they came they that and
they havnt been used for anything other then sorting/listing

OK,
what is "anything other than"
...displayed in your private, dark, non-smoky,...bla-bla...collection over 1
day, 1 month or ten years???
...displayed inside your local store for sale...than after time(s) not sold...offer
"NEW" in BL??? Than bleached bec. of sunlight/UV-light and dusty...but
UNPLAYED??!!
What I mean is, BL`s def. of "NEW" is not excact,
if they clearly say: new def. from Jan.1st, 2025
never assembled
direct from set to bag
never displayed
unplayed/untouched but only for sorting and than FOR SALE (not for private enjoyment)
...
so easy to say, dear seller, you sent fig with arm-swing scratced torso, declared
"new" = sorry is not.
|
Bricklink says this
“New Minifigures - Minifigures are brand new, taken directly from new sets or
purchased as new in another form such as accessory packs or Pick A Brick and
have been handled only for sorting. Minifigures may be listed as new either assembled
or unassembled.”
So no, if it’s displayed in your collection it is not new but if you bag each
one up and store them unused for any purpose and then list it then it’s new.
Im assuming something is lost in translation as I never sent you any minifigures
let alone “ dear seller, you sent fig with arm-swing scratced torso, declared
"new"”
|
Yes, that`s my opinion, too!
(We both didn`t dealed before, no reason to complain anything with you)
Thank you for your help, I never seen a def. like this here at BL, before...Kind

|
Yes.
| At the moment you have 18938 and 88738 as alternate numbers for the same part,
and 48168 as a mold variant. How anyone could have entered a 60 tooth gear as
mold variant of a 56 tooth gear is a question for another day...
From what I can see the mold variant link should be removed - Z56 and Z60 are
different.
The alternate number link should also be removed, and the descriptions of the
part should be updated to reflect the bevel teeth on one of them.
Or does all this fall in your recent program of dumbing down the database...
|
That had nothing to do with the catalog administrators.
