Okay, I get it, Norwegian Krone Euro conversions have been somewhat wonky for
reasons outside the sphere of influence of BL and third party, and beyond whatever
site issue there might also be.

Wondering if anyone can help me to setup or check my option for Open Orders please.
I'm a new seller, and believe I've setup the option for buyers to place
an Open Order. I did this from a shared shipping option I copied.

I have a buyer (who is very patient!) who has created an open order. He added
some parts which showed as Batch 1. He added more parts which appeared in the
same Order number as Batch 2. So far so good.

At this stage the Order Status changed to "Updated". I assume this was
done automatically.

The buyer then added more parts, but they didn't appear in that open order.
Instead a whole new order number was created. The status of that new order
is "Pending".

So I'm not sure if this is some strange glitch that hasn't added another
batch to the already open order, or if this is something I haven't setup
correctly. The Buyer would now like to complete his order(s). What do I/we
do?

1: Is there a way to cancel the 2nd order and fix some setting so that when
he re-adds the part it is added to the original order.
2: Do I just send two invoices for the two orders with a total value that covers
the shipping as a single package?

Grateful for any advice, thanks.

Ah ha!  On the alternate build shown on the instructions, we can see a 3rd arch
used (and we can infer a 4th one on the other side).

Instruction No: 6074 Name: Black Falcon's Fortress
*
6074-1 Black Falcon's Fortress
Instructions: Castle: Black Falcons

So, according to the rules, at least these two should be Regular 🤔

So, Catalog admins, will this get updated?
At the moment you have 18938 and 88738 as alternate numbers for the same part,
and 48168 as a mold variant. How anyone could have entered a 60 tooth gear as
mold variant of a 56 tooth gear is a question for another day...

From what I can see the mold variant link should be removed - Z56 and Z60 are
different.
The alternate number link should also be removed, and the descriptions of the
part should be updated to reflect the bevel teeth on one of them.

Or does all this fall in your recent program of dumbing down the database...

Hi,

That’s a strange one indeed.  The “Extra” section is for parts that are found
in a sealed box but are not needed for any of the builds seen in the instructions
or on the box.

I had that set when I was a kid… I don’t remember 3 unused arches 🤔

Well, I just checked my parts: there indeed must have been 5 Light Gray 2339
in that set because I’ve 9 and the 4 others are from 6085.

Weird that there were no images of their use on the box….

Hello all! How much would you pay someone to sort a 12 gallon tub of Lego?
I buy Lego at about $2 - $4 a pound if that helps

How would you want it sorted by color or category or size?

Categories.

We sort into 19 different categories. The same ones that the Great Brick Lab
(GBL) uses to sort their Lego. I’ll post a link to the sorting sheet later.

Here's the link to the sorting sheet.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1809BBSWvmC6HrqpWcbQa-YP6alDrJOIe/view

They share it in the description for this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSr8117iiIQ&t=7s

I printed it out and sort 1 pound of Lego into the category’s and it took around
50 minutes so I’m think maybe $2 a pound. But maybe state that you have to finish
sorting the entire bin to get paid. I would also pull out category #16 just as
a per caution. Also it should not be snowing this time of year

I'm cackling, thank you XD

No problem

Great!!! That happened to me not too long ago! Celebrating with you!

Congrats! Don’t forget to celebrate with pizza!!!

Thank you! We may actually celebrate with a foot long at Subway!

There it is! Finally a foodie I can relate to here...

Italian BMT; no lettuce, heavy tomatoes, heavy onions, vinegar on the meat side
and the oil on the veggie side, toasted of course

That sounds good! I might try it the next time I go!

My personal favorite is:
Regular white bread with pepper jack cheese and steak (also toasted). Along with
lettuce, tomato, onions, mayo, and a sweet onion sauce. It makes for the perfect
lunch!

I just might give that a try too. Thanks!

I sent them the actual invoice and removed their request to cancel (they had
provided the reason that the buyer and seller had mutually agreed to cancel).

If they communicate with me and really want to cancel then maybe it was all a
misunderstanding. If they don't communicate then I will wait a file a NPB
and see where that goes. Then I can provide feedback that is accurate.

Any idea where they get BL user email addresses?

There are many ways to get e-mail addresses, specific ones or in bulk lists.

Ex: a buyer 3 years ago could have his PC infected by a trojan or a virus which
will parse all his local e-mails and send the addresses From/To etc.

Or another site you registered which had its database hacked.

Or often, while simply Googling the web.

And zillion other ways, most of them not being related to BrickLink.

I'm sure if I was "in Hiroshima when it happens" I would NOT ask
you to represent the bomber.

Something's doesn't seem to be coherent in what you wrote.

I'm also pretty sure LEGO isn't interested / doesn't allow
representations of actual war weapons and sceneries.

The concept of promoting peace while representing mass destruction objects is
a VERY complex approach, and I think you're far from this comprehension /
distance which would be required.

I'm 100% sure I'm NOT interested in this "project".

Please also take note that you should be an adult to register here.

Got someone asking to purchase a single part lot with a pre-shipping order value
of 120 USD. I'd like to try and oblige this member, if I can...

My question concerns the up-to-date rules as applied here to distance
selling with the UK. Not certain about UK cross-border buying protocols, anymore.

~ As seller, will I need to electronically insert proof of taxes-paid into the
customs form (IOSS) in order to avoid the buyer being double taxed?

~ If taxation is applicable to such an order, will taxes be processed within
the order itself, or garnered from the buyer on the receiving end?

Thanks in advance

Help pages notwithstanding, if any UK member would care to offer empirical
input it would be appreciated. Thanks

It's really straightforward

BrickLink will automatically collect the UK VAT (under GBP135).
You will receive an e-mail with the VAT receipt, and can download the PDF from
the order page if not recevied.
Print it and attach it in a transparent document pocket outside.
Fill a normal CN22 or CN23 form.

This. Specifically for UK - this is enough. Your PayPal payment will have a 'Partner
Fee' section for this, which will be forwarded to BL's PP account immediately.
You will have to attach a VAT invoice to the outside of the package - you will
see it on the order page + will receive an email from BL with a .pdf

No need to attach anything electronically to your shipping label.

Thank you, guys!

I'll take both of your inputs as empirical and as an affirmation of the updated
help page. Very helpful. Thanks again

Instructions are produced long before the actual parts in the set, so instructions

Unless this can be confirmed by a sealed set, BrickLink can't accept this

~ As seller, will I need to electronically insert proof of taxes-paid into the

~ If taxation is applicable to such an order, will taxes be processed within

I am looking for a pdf parts list for 7939-4 which is the two cars on a flatbed

I would appreciate any help you can give me.

Best regards,

I am not sure a "Parts list" exists for just this build. You would have
to look at instructions for this build and make a parts list yourself.

Using the inventory for this set, the instructions, and a wanted list, you can
add the parts for each step to the wanted list by selecting them from the inventory
of the set. You can then download your wanted list, I believe, though I do not
know how as I have never done it before. Someone here could help with that aspect
though.

Good luck,

Thank you for the response and help.

I appreciate it.

I may be mistaken but I think to the UK you don’t need IOSS but rather just printout
the VAT receipt and include it on the package. At the top of the order whenever
taxes (except to the USA) are applied you will have additional options at the
top of the order that let you know what to do. Picture 1 is from a UK order I
had which only prompts me to include the VAT receipt (which I download and print
out on 1 or several shipping labels and apply to the package just like the
normal label) and then in image 2 which went to the Netherlands I needed to also
include IOSS in addition to the receipt.

As for your 2nd question, yes if bricklink collects taxes they are collected
on the order itself just like USA sales tax unless it exceeds some $ amount which
varies by country in which case the buyer is charged it on delivery

Thanks. But this doesn't help to advance my understand beyond what I already
knew, in what to expect from the specific order details presented...

"if bricklink collects" "exceeds some $ amount"
"varies by country"

The effort is always appreciated though. Thanks again

make those pages the most up to date for each respective country

The category name "plastic" is odd to me, nearly all LEGO is plastic.
Do I have a better name for the category? nope.
Every time I see one of these parts, I think plastic.
