Okay, I get it, Norwegian Krone Euro conversions have been somewhat wonky for
reasons outside the sphere of influence of BL and third party, and beyond whatever
site issue there might also be.

|
| Wondering if anyone can help me to setup or check my option for Open Orders please.
I'm a new seller, and believe I've setup the option for buyers to place
an Open Order. I did this from a shared shipping option I copied.
I have a buyer (who is very patient!) who has created an open order. He added
some parts which showed as Batch 1. He added more parts which appeared in the
same Order number as Batch 2. So far so good.
At this stage the Order Status changed to "Updated". I assume this was
done automatically.
The buyer then added more parts, but they didn't appear in that open order.
Instead a whole new order number was created. The status of that new order
is "Pending".
So I'm not sure if this is some strange glitch that hasn't added another
batch to the already open order, or if this is something I haven't setup
correctly. The Buyer would now like to complete his order(s). What do I/we
do?
1: Is there a way to cancel the 2nd order and fix some setting so that when
he re-adds the part it is added to the original order.
2: Do I just send two invoices for the two orders with a total value that covers
the shipping as a single package?
Grateful for any advice, thanks.

We sort into 19 different categories. The same ones that the Great Brick Lab
(GBL) uses to sort their Lego. I’ll post a link to the sorting sheet later.

I printed it out and sort 1 pound of Lego into the category’s and it took around
50 minutes so I’m think maybe $2 a pound. But maybe state that you have to finish
sorting the entire bin to get paid. I would also pull out category #16 just as
a per caution. Also it should not be snowing this time of year

Any idea where they get BL user email addresses?
|
There are many ways to get e-mail addresses, specific ones or in bulk lists.
Ex: a buyer 3 years ago could have his PC infected by a trojan or a virus which
will parse all his local e-mails and send the addresses From/To etc.
Or another site you registered which had its database hacked.
Or often, while simply Googling the web.
And zillion other ways, most of them not being related to BrickLink.

Same here. You get, what is it, about 6 weeks to pay it so there really shouldn't
be any excuse to missing it. Especially if going away, paying it before leaving
is sensible. You don't have to remember once you are back.

One feature that might be helpful here is the ability to pre-pay fees.

+1
AutoPay set-up, as available with most other services today, might be nice too

Many sites have automated billing yes,

This is super Surprising because they had a very high Sale Count with mostly
positive feedbacks.

I buy Lego at about $2 - $4 a pound if that helps

How would you want it sorted by color or category or size?
|
If by category then maybe $1 per pound but you may want to sift through it quickly
to pull out more valuable pieces before giving it to someone to sort

Categories.
We sort into 19 different categories. The same ones that the Great Brick Lab
(GBL) uses to sort their Lego. I’ll post a link to the sorting sheet later.

| Too bad you aren't in Arizona, I would offer to do it. I find sorting lego
to be one of the most relaxing activities. What I don't like it counting
and adding to BL inventory. That was tedious.

Same here. You get, what is it, about 6 weeks to pay it so there really shouldn't
be any excuse to missing it. Especially if going away, paying it before leaving
is sensible. You don't have to remember once you are back.

One feature that might be helpful here is the ability to pre-pay fees.

AutoPay set-up, as available with most other services today, might be nice too
|
Many sites have automated billing yes, also they could implement more payment
methods with less fees that would bring more revenue for them...

| Hello,
While browsing stores I like clicking on items to go to the part ID page to check
colors and prices.
Now there is a long "Report this Listing" link at the very most top right
of every lot next to the item ID.
It takes up a ton of space and I keep accidentally clicking on it, as the top
right is usually where the part ID is, and on user interfaces, is never where
a report button is.
I did not see any options in my settings to remove the link. I don't want
to see the link on every unique store lot I click on. I have reported maybe 1
thing in nearly 20 years.
Is there a way to remove this link? I know how to report if I need to. I don't
need it to be the largest link at all times, it is in the way constantly, as
I'm used to that spot being the actual item I want to see details on not
a "Report" button.
|
Agreed! I keep tapping it accidentally, as well, and it’s pretty annoying. It
seems moving the “Report Listing” link to the bottom would alleviate the issue.
Perhaps some emails to IT would help?

We used to do this a lot maybe 10 years ago
As of right now I'm not sure if using the pay fees button you can change
the amount, say you owe $10 and simply change it to $100...

It might cause issues with paying in the wrong financial year. If you pay a lot
in one year, then ask for a refund the next.
For anyone using the site frequently, maybe just a different coloured notice
on a screen if you have fees due that disappears when you pay.
Doesn't the banner go red if you are a month late? I know I missed making
a payment a few years ago when ill, and I'm sure the banner went red after
a month but before the final deadline which i noticed and paid so I didn't
get a suspension. Lesson learned, and I tend to pay on receipt.

Try having one of the sellers perform: https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1464250

I am not going to message each seller asking for them to do that. I just won't

Understandable

And to clarify: the suggestion of "having one of the sellers"
was more to your benefit, in eliminating the possibility of it being an issue
on your end. The site and it's sellers also benefiting, is ancillary.

Just had a buyer contact me this morning after not receiving a £9 minifigure
order that was placed on April 5th. The postage option chosen by the buyer was
a standard 1st class large letter, Postage was paid for and label printed using
the Click and collect Royal Mail service and posted that same evening.
I have sent other parcels since then and have had those orders completed by those
buyers so I know the postbox I used has been visited by the Royal Mail.
I’ve asked the buyer to wait another week and see if anything arrives and in
the meantime I will do some research into what the next steps are.
What is the correct course of action as a seller ? Do I need to refund the buyer
even though they picked a non signed for option for post ? I have no reason to
believe the buyer is not telling the truth but also I’m going to be out £11 if
I have to refund even though I processed the order and paid the postage and sent
it ?
Don’t want to get negative feedback from the buyer if I argue the refund.
Thanks in advance for any help or advice

Refund the buyer and make a claim for compensation with Royal Mail. Normal postage
for a large letter covers you for up to £20. URL for claims centre https://personal.help.royalmail.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/325/~/claims-centre

Thanks for the link that’s really cool of you 👍🏻

Have you tried this page - https://send.royalmail.com/payment/find?
Use the details from the confirmation email received from Royal Mail at the time
of purchase and hopefully you should be able to see the documents they provide
to print the label from. I believe the tracking number is the small (as in small
print) number printed above the QR code.
Hope this is of some help

Correct; Stane steals Tony's new Arc Reactor to power his own suit (with
Tony having to switch back to his cave reactor for the final battle).

Royal mail ask you to wait 10 working days before submitting a claim for a lost
item, if you have proof of posting you may be able to claim from Royal mail.

I've sent a couple of orders by Large Letter and Royal Mail have decided
they were thicker than 2.5cm and have demanded an extra charge for delivery.
They should leave a card but they don't always do so which leaves the buyer
and seller scratching their heads.

| Once it has been multiple weeks past its expected delivery date (for me if it’s
untracked and it’s been 3-5 weeks since I shipped or if it is tracked and it
has been 1 month since the last tracking update) then the seller should refund
the order. If you don’t they the buyer will simply file a PayPal claim/claim
with their bank and then you will be out the money plus an additional $15-$20
fee. (Just in case you’d don’t know sellers are fully responsible for every package
they ship out even if it has not tracking/insurance)

Just in case you aren't aware, if you have the "Item reference" from
when you bought the postage, you can input it into the Track and Trace service
for Royal Mail. This does not track the actual parcel, but you might be able
to tell if it has been delivered using this reference.
In my experience, it's been "unknown" while in transit, and then
switches to "delivered" when it's actually delivered by the postie.
Hope this helps!

Some ways to think about it.
1. Getting a signed for postage option is there to help the seller more than
the buyer. The issue of what postage the buyer selected is basically irrelevant.
2. Yes, if you refund you will be out 11 pounds. But if the buyer does not receive
their order, and you don't refund, they will be out 11 pounds. So how is
that fair?
3. It hasn't been very long since you shipped the order, so it is correct
ask the buyer to give the order another week or so to show up. I find if I stay
in contact with a buyer, they are able to be patient in waiting a little longer.
In the meanwhile, double check that the shipping address was correct.
4. You have no reason to suspect that the buyer is not telling the truth. So
you have no reason to refuse a refund, if the package is lost. Yes, it hurts,
but it is the right thing to do. Fortunately lost orders are very rare, and when
they do happen, you can consider it a cost of doing business.
