Goodday everyone,

I bought a large amount of Lego. Some are still partially assembled, see the
photos.

Can anyone tell me which set this is from?

I can then look for instructions and make it complete again.

I finally sent an email to Lego corporate asking them to address this situation.

Maybe if all sellers send them emails, they will at least communicate SOMETHING
about the situation. It is really poor business practice to have this problem
continuing for so long when you have sellers paying fees every month.

  Fellow BrickLinkers,

We are currently closing up to hit order No 25 miljon! What a ride and what a
great achievement from all you members - seller and buyers!

So as a number nerd - if the 25th million order happens to be placed at my store
I will refund all cost and ship it for free anywhere in the world! This offer
limits to an order value of maximum 200 $ or 200 €.

And also - if your store gets it and you post proof in this thread I will give
you 50 % off on an order for you too - up to order value of 200 $/€.

So, what day will it happen? Any day next week?

Also fun to hear if any have had any special order numbers in the past. I don't
think I have but had two orders in numerical order once!

/Niclas

I once got 3 orders in consecutive numerical order once. They all came in within
1 minute.

I put a post about it on the forum but i can't find it.

I remember. If it helps you find more on the topic, Niek showed himself as
the unofficially point man on this topic. If fact, I believe he achieved the
similar in consecutive order numbers. Anyway, the man is very good at this type
of data analyst and expression: https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1320396

I hope i get the 25 millionth order!!

Get busy buying and selling

Hi

The replacement service for 'signed for' is called 'tracked 24 or
48' with our without signature which is insured up to £150 and costs from
£3.95 for 48 without signature.

There is no average response time.
Because apparently no one has yet received a response via the new Helpdesk.
I have mentioned this here in the forum several times:
https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1457362
https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1460868
https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1464889

But nobody knows now, the admins are silent and the forum moderators don't
get any information either.

For ~£50 parcels I am still using RM but just the basic Tracked 48 version at
£3.39 (plus 20p extra as I often drop off at PO for convenience). When booking
online it still says that it has compensation to £150. Tracking is enough to
protect against "not delivered" claims and I feel insurance is probably
overkill for damage although it does mean I tend to package boxed sets so they
shouldn't be damaged. I find that decent enough for up to 2kg parcels and
never had an issue with late or lost deliveries with the parcel service (unlike
the large letter service).

I know Evri is slightly cheaper if dropping off light parcels, but there is no
convenient drop-off point for me.

Correction.. £9.95 for a small parcel insured up to £5.
Thats still up £5.30. Evri is about £5 & up.

I have exactly the same problem. I wrote to the Help Desk in December 2023 and
received no response for months. After writing several times here in the forum,
I received the following reply directly by e-mail from ***********@LEGO.com:

"We noticed that you have a @me.com email address which may be the reasons
you are not getting our emails (some local and smaller domain providers have
BrickLink blacklisted). The solution would be to change your BrickLink email
address to a more common one, such as gmail for example. We can do that for you
as well if you send us the new email address, if you prefer."

So I should get a new e-mail address so that Bricklink (LEGO) can reply to me.
This is all just a bad joke.

So I've asked few times, I've written to help desk (I meet the requirements)

I'm sorry, I'm really frustrated.

Maybe you guys can tell me, what else should I do?

Seems you did it the correct way, turnaround time from the Help Desk is around
2 weeks, so maybe wait a bit longer?

Else you can try emailing them directly to bricklink@support.lego.com

ehh, the problem is, I wrote to help desk first time in last december...

but you gave me an email address!! at last

I preferred to write an e-mail, but I couldn't find the address anywhere

After 6 months of not getting my money back for a refused international package.
(shipping was 50% higher than quoted, so I sent the package back)

Why did you pay once you saw the shipping was higher than quoted?

The seller (Oasis in South Carolina) refused to refund my money until the package
came back to him. There is no detailed tracking on return packages, but it shows
that it came into the USA on October 28th.

He told me that it could take 6 months for it to come back. Since it is almost
6 months, I want to check back with him.

He told you 6 months because that is the cutoff point for PayPal to file a
dispute!

All of my prior orders are gone and so are my old messages.

Orders & messages are purged after 6 months

I was able to download the order (without much details, but it had the prices).

Is there a way to get back my messages? Or order? I did not delete these things.

Try contacting the Admins, they need to keep order details etc longer than
6 months for legal purposes

thanks!

I have seen quite the spike in "we did not get our package" things.

To where problems arrised, mainly?

How do you ship? Tracked? Insured? Bad shipper change shipper?

Do you prefer to lose 100% (not exporting) or lose part of it? Did you calculate
this?

Two right now (today). UK and Belgium.

Tracked, arrived but either refused or just lying. Cannot tell yet but I have
two angry contacts. One is saying "they are not stupid and they will not
pay VAT" the other I have no idea. He may have got it, may have not. He
is all over the place. Either way I am looking to cut off overseas for awhile
to see if that stops this. We are taking hit after hit after hit on the overseas.

Confusing, as "they will not pay VAT" means they can't have received
the package.
So it can't be "arrived", or at least at destination.

Otherwise "lying"? One says it didn't arrive while tracking shows
it's delivered??
It's technically possible - it even happens to a delivery to me.

Will you let PayPal decide? Why not trying for at least an order?

Something's wrong as 10/80 is absolutely NOT normal for every seller I've
heard of.

Anyway - as you wish.

Yes confusing for me also.

I just refunded everyone and locked out the overseas shipping.

This week has been wonderful. No major issues, no missing packages and NO vat
dodging BS. Just glad it is over.

Back to enjoyment of the product again.

You don’t need to talk to anyone, just fill in a change request.

https://www.bricklink.com/catalogReq.asp

You can also enter your own dimensions in your inventory if it is causing an
issue still.

instructions aren't messed up, so that I can disclose that when I sell it.
But then again, I hate to break the seal of the box. What would you do? (They
are big sets - Disney castle, Big Ben, and Ghostbusters firehouse.)

Stickers, electronic components and cloth can also be damaged by water. You might
also have mold on the instructions and/or inside of the box. Lastly, there could
be bugs that were attracted by the water and died in there.

I would open the box up and see what you're dealing with. If I were looking
for a New In Box set I wouldn't buy one with water damage unless the price
reflected it. You could always list it as New, Complete instead of New, Sealed:

Hi

Just a quick heads up for those sellers who may not have noticed (LIKE ME until
today !!) that since the beginning of April, Royal Mail have reduced the compensation
on 'signed for' postage DOWN from £50 to £20. The main option to provide
cover over £20 is to use the new 'tracked' service (now up to £150 cover).
This new service was supposed to be available at Post Offices from the beginning
of April but it's been delayed so the only way at the moment is use the online
'click and drop' service.

Cheers

Where did you get this 2 month "rule"?

For us it's 1 month.

Using normal rates - not "ground" or such, there's no destination
from here where it takes a month to arrive...

But already wrote another day, it took 7 months (SEVEN) for a single envelope
to arrive in South America, and the buyer didn't even complain and wrote
us when he got it!
Those are real excceptionnal exceptions

Since the boxes have water damage and that can mess up instructions like you
mentioned I’d recommend opening them and selling them as open box as otherwise
you might end up selling someone some badly damaged instructions and it would
make things complicated

After 6 months of not getting my money back for a refused international package.
(shipping was 50% higher than quoted, so I sent the package back)

You would have known the shipping charges when you paid. Are you talking about
customs fees or taxes? Was there a VAT form attached to your parcel?

The seller (Oasis in South Carolina) refused to refund my money until the package
came back to him. There is no detailed tracking on return packages, but it shows
that it came into the USA on October 28th.

He told me that it could take 6 months for it to come back. Since it is almost
6 months, I want to check back with him.

I do not believe this is accurate. Any package without movement within 2 months

All of my prior orders are gone and so are my old messages.

BrickLink purges all non-problem orders after 6 months.

I was able to download the order (without much details, but it had the prices).

You would have received a detailed invoice when you made your purchase. Find
it in your email account.

Is there a way to get back my messages? Or order? I did not delete these things.

No, but BrickLink messages should also be sent to your email. Have a look!

Unless your seller failed to attach the VAT receipt to your order, whatever charges
that occurred were likely not their fault. However, 6 months is a ridiculous
time frame and they should have responded to you by now with either a refund
or a resolution you could both agree to.

Good luck,
~Jen

So anyhow, we added a min-buy for shipping outside our country, but it seems
not to be working.

You cannot have a minimum buy for shipping internationally and no minimum buy
for domestic. You can only have one minimum buy value for the store. If you try
to do it through the shipping settings, it will normally offer whatever default
shipping method you have when all other shipping methods fail. So if you only
have an international shipping option above a certain cart value, you will still
get orders below that, but that shipping option won't be offered. They are
still valid orders though, in that they reach your minimum buy for the store
(of zero, since you don't have one).

Yes but no - see my post:
https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1464775

I thought you could set up a fail safe international method with a minimum.
If it doesn't allow you to buy, then there's no shipping method, then
the buyer won't be able to buy.

I'm not sure, never tried, no minimum or such here, but it seems logical
to me?

I don't know now, maybe possible you can. I don't ship internationally
any more to try.

But whatever they do, the default shipping if everything else fails should have
the international shipping destinations turned off.
