| As we all know, getting buyers to reply to messages and/or leave feedback can
be brutal. I don't know if it's just me but my feedback response rate
fell off a cliff around early February. 83 orders and just 35 feedbacks which
drops well below the 60% rate most of us have.
I've had a few buyers with very high feedback numbers but they have left
___ZERO___ for other users. Those people are to far gone, so I decided to try
to tackle the problem with the new users.
I tend to get a lot of buyers with very low scores, so when I recently had a
few zero feedback users place orders, I decided to try something proactive and
drafted up this letter which was included in their package. Of the two I sent
it to so far, both followed the instructions. One even went back and added feedback
for other orders they placed. I sent my third one out today which is what prompted
me to go double check on the other two users.
And I know, I know, "don't worry about your feedback number more than
your feedback rating", but there are people out who see that number first
and assume that with experience comes better service and fewer hassles. It's
also just a few extra keystrokes of extra work to help improve the community
for everyone IMO.

| Hello,
There is 1 order waiting for feedback. I do not want to give feedback to this
order.
Is there a way to delete this reminder (1 order waiting for feedback) without
actual give feedback?

|
| Three months ago I received an order from "Australia's Best Bricks"
by STEEL. The shipping process was very troublesome as I required a tracking
number. After I reminded them by email several times, a few days later an incorrect
(useless) tracking number was sent to me. I never got the correct tracking number.
The package included material encouraging to quickly leave a positive review,
and I did so because I was in good spirits after finally receiving my package.
However after examining the pieces, I noticed the awful quality of the bricks
sent to me. Stickers were applied so badly they weren't even on the brick.
The included rubber band was already nearly broken and snapped within a few uses.
Bricks were dirtier than any other order I've seen, and I had to wash-out
what I assume was children's play-dough from some of the pieces.
I immediately wanted to remove my review, but after using this site since 2012
I had no idea there was a hidden ""Feedback Removal Request." Even
though I won't be able to repost my feedback, I would have greatly appreciated
removing my hasty positive feedback on a truly awful order. Its very disappointing
to me that "Feedback Removal Request" is hidden in the problem center
instead of where the feedback is. And perhaps more disappointing is the short
1 month period where the feature even works.
If you're going to hide a feature in the back corner of your website, putting
such a short timer on it almost guarantees no-one can remove their own reviews.
It saddens me that this site makes such a simple request so difficult. There
could be all kinds of good reasons people want to delete their reviews in the
future. Doing so shouldn't be so difficult to find and within such a small
time window.

| Hi,
I got my first Neutral Feedback without any justification.
The buyer made the order at 17.2, I shipped it at 18.2 and he received it at
21.2
Although it took less then a week and although the Israeli PO is not under my
command (I wish it was!) the buyer gave me the following feedback:
Everything I asked for arrived, even the used one feels like new but the shipping
time takes quite a long time
I submitted Feedback Removal Request.
My questions are:
1. What to expect? The feedback will be cancel?
2. How long does it take normally?
Thanks,
Yoav

| After reading a now cancelled post:
https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1457020
In which the OP highlighted Carol’s first non positive (neutral) feedback in
over a staggering 25,000 orders, I noticed something: The neutral didn’t produce
an effect on Carol's percentage number displayed.
Has this suggestion been implemented?
https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=868453
Or is it that her order numbers are so large that the percentage affected can’t
be shown or formatted as is?

A very nice post about carolannee, btw. Here's my readied reply to it.
Carol was my inspiration early on here as to what a BL seller could become.
Her comms, packaging, listing practices, processing times, all exemplary. She
set the bar high for other BL sellers. I’m privileged to have gotten to know
her some personally over the years. A wonderful personality who happens to also
enjoy her garden
She and I trading location in a manner of speaking. We were in Olympia for years
while she was up in the Seattle area. Nearly at the same time, she and her hubby
moved down to Olympia where we lived, while we move up to the Seattle area where
they had just left. She also has been fazing out her inventory in order to close,
nearly as long as we have been

| Hello. I made a purchase from a user. The package never arrived, through the
post office I learned that it arrived in my country but that it cannot be delivered
because the address was wrong or incomplete. And that it had already been
returned to the sender. I contacted DHL and the only thing I could find out was
that it had already been delivered to the sender. At cost, the seller gave me
back the value of the set, despite saying on the bricklink page that he had returned
the whole thing. I lost money. Gave neutral feedback to the seller. The seller
gave me negative feedback claiming that I gave up on the purchase. I think the
feedback I was given was unfair. I hope the admin will refer to the entire conversation
exchanged between me and the seller and remove the only negative feedback I have.
I didn't give up on the order. It was a set that my daughter was missing
and bricklink knows that I ended up buying it from another user. (Whom I thank
as it was very kind)

| I only skimmed through the terms and conditions on a recently placed order. I
did not go to the splash page at all. OOOPSIE ... my bad. This CDN Ontario store
states on his splash page in red he will charge everyone 13% tax. When questioned,
I was told told, in no uncertain terms (lol), that his terms are his terms. Too
bad for me. It went back and forth and I suggested that he could do the right
thing and change his terms and conditions and conform to the lawful tax laws
of his province and country. That is not going to happen. I mentioned it again
in clearer words. I finally got him to refund some taxes paid. Does this person
even have a registered GST or HST number? Can I ask him that? Does he have to
answer? Does this person think that collecting his extra 8% on every single out
of province order his rightful tip? Does he think it is right to dupe unsuspecting
and unknowing customers? He is not the only store in Ontario that is collecting
extra cash in what I believe to be a low and underhanded manner. I wish I could
stop them. I can warn others about this particular store in my feedback. He will
probably counter with a lie of some kind and just keep on with these petty thefts.
So ... your thoughts ... or better yet ... creative and constructive solutions?

| I had a buyer leave negative feedback. In his email message he writes, "If
this is not dealt with appropriately I will be forced to leave my first negative
review of a Bricklink thus far." To me this is clearly extortion and against
policy, correct?
I put in for feedback removal, does BL Admin look at the email messages to determine
if it can be removed or just the feedback itself? I hope they look at everything.
There was nowhere to write anything when i asked for removal.

| I'm very disheartened today. I received my first neutral feedback yesterday
and thought I did everything I could to make things right. While pulling the
order I found one small part that was slightly discolored. I notified the customer
and gave them a refund but let them have the part anyway incase they could use
it. I shipped the order and the customer recieved it quickly (even sent me an
email thanking me for shipping so quickly). Later I received an email that one
of the parts I sent (a 1x2 slope) was actually a MB brand. I try to make sure
all my used parts are LEGO but sometimes one may slip through. I replied to
them (through gmail) on Jan 29th and refunded them for the part. I thought everyting
was fine. Yesterday I received a neutral feedback stating I never replied or
did anything. You try your best to keep 100% praise then one customer kills it.

| I am awaiting feedback on an order I placed 2 months ago. I left feedback for
their store, and haven’t recieved any on my end. I sent the store a message about
it, and didn’t hear back. I noticed on their account that they have left feedback
for orders inbetween mine, mine is the only order without feedback. I don’t want
to message again in fear of annoying them and they leave negative feedback because
of that. I take pride in having a 100% positive rate as a buyer, and I assume
it helps stores narrow down problematic accounts. I was under the impression
feedback is required on site but am now learning it’s optional. What would be
my best option? Message them? Ignore it? Any help is appreciated. Thank you for
your time!

I just wonder: who is responsible for the general UI/UX of Bricklink?
It has been a long time since I've seen so many inconsistencies and quirks
living together and frustrating me... The menus, the way the pages "work"
- there is not a single thing where I would instantly say: well done.
And where does this 90ies look come from?

| Hey guys. Not sure if all this belongs here but seems relevant to me. Do this
many users here not leave feedback or even complete orders??? I thought it was
a have to thing to use the site. Idk. How do y'all handle the no feedback
on orders, if at all. I always leave feedback as soon as I receive my order as
a buyer and selling I leave feedback soon after payment and before shipping.
Also no communication and anything and not marking orders completed. Thanks for
your comments about anything

| I'm curious how many sells out there leave feedback before the buyer does?
My current practice as a seller has been to leave feedback upon payment. Before
I even ship the package. However, in a recent post i was reading about feedback,
it seems like some sellers wait until the buyer leaves feedback before leaving
feedback. As a seller, what is your timeline for posting feedback?

| I posted honest feedback on a store, marking it as "Neutral" and honestly
wrote that while everything went fine with the fulfillment, they never left me
feedback even after several months.
The Store complained that they only post feedback once they know I am going to
say something positive, and if I updated my feedback to positive, they would
then leave positive feedback for me...
Few days later I see the feedback has been "Removed by Administration"
Any way I can appeal this?
My feedback was honest and true. I even have the message history to prove it,
including the store trying to "bribe" me to change my feedback to positive...
This shouldn't be allowed...

When the package arrived, I noticed that some pieces were missing.

first wants to receive positive feedback then sends them..
I tell him that I will leave the feedback once I have the pieces but he refuses.
how can I proceed? Thank you
