First time shipping to EU. Do I need a vat for this sale? If yes what is the
process for producing a vat receipt or whatever I need? Thanks!

As a seller, is it possible to add the option of tracking for buyers, without
insurance?

I use Royal Mail 'Tracked 48' delivers in 2 -3 days, cost is same for
Large Letter upto 750 grams, and it gives insurance upto £150

I go online to Royal Mails website, and do the postage there, it's a little
confusing to start with, but it does get easier! Once you get postage done online,
it's a quick visit to the post office, they scan it and away it goes!

I have a dedicated printer I bought from Amazon ~ https://www.amazon.co.uk/Phomemo-Thermal-PM246S-Shipping-Compatible/dp/B0BX3CSK7K/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=1WBFKI2RFJ24X&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.qjrYPL5GVUODujSFPByXaaiKmvlKTzRGo3i-YblOh4fGjHj071QN20LucGBJIEps.PL0JFoXyp_HSm8jV1chXdjWWxTko32T2P5LLzxU8btI&dib_tag=se&keywords=pm246s&qid=1711650983&sprefix=pm246s%2Caps%2C245&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1

I also bought a roll of labels ~ https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08B3ZRCZF?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_product_details

Hope this helps

Mike

Doesn't tracking always come with standard insurance up to a certain amount?
its when the value of the package exceeds the standard insurance that you pay
for extra insurance.

Yes but it isn't much. £20 for tracked parcels and £50 for signed for. And
it doesn't necessarily cover things like the condition of the box of an expensive
set if it is damaged.

yeah but OP asked for tracking without insurance which I believe is impossible
because tracked always comes with basic insurance (but yes that basic insurance
doesn't cover a big amount)

Not here. You can get basic tracking that has no proper insurance. Royal Mail
will refund up to a small amount for loss or serious damage but it isn't
actually insurance, it is compensation for failure in service.

You can offer what you like through instant checkout. Insurance is for you.
If you offer a cheaper method with no insurance and the buyer chooses it, you
are still responsible for refunding if the parcel is damaged and returned to
you. So add / charge for insurance anywhere you would not be willing to refund
on return.

Er, it should be CN22 or CN23.  I’ll leave the pros answer the rest of that one.

  - I found the link to print the VAT receipt for the UK order, but I don't
have that link for the Canada order. Is there a reason for that, or am I doing
something wrong? Buyer told me to not forget it, what can I do about that?

BL doesn’t collect taxes for Canada (buyer will pay at reception).  So there’s
nothing more to join than the invoice.

Hey all,
I'm just attempting to start shipping outside the EU, and for the first try
I found a couple of nice customers (one UK, one Canada) who are helping me, but
there's still some things I can't figure out:
- In the CN35 form, where they ask me to describe the contents of the package,
that should be "used children's toys", right? Or do I have to mention
the Lego brand, or anything else?
- I found the link to print the VAT receipt for the UK order, but I don't
have that link for the Canada order. Is there a reason for that, or am I doing
something wrong? Buyer told me to not forget it, what can I do about that?
Thanks,
Patrick

Agreed, and I'm only saying that since they're in Quebec.

OP; If they just messaged you for a rate, just reply.

If they placed the order but have not paid because it doesn't fit in to one
of your shipping methods, calculate your shipping costs and add it to the box
on your orders page. Click save at the bottom, then click the invoice icon.

  Hi
Had a package returned by bpost belgium with a CN 15 label arked duties/vat
payment notice expired. This was originally sent on 8th feb. I have been shipping
to eu now for 6 months and have experienced lengthy delays through eu customs
but never had anyone returned for this reason before. To my knowledge the address
was correct as was the CN22 and the BrickLink vat receipt. So I believe this
is due to an eu customs error. Has any other sellers experienced anything similar?

Hi
How heavy was the parcel and how much was the invoice amount?

Hi,

Maybe they asked the buyer to pay VAT again¹ and the buyer refused?

¹ “Again”: if the order was below €150, BL would have collected the VAT already.
Did you send the IOSS number electronically?

The buyer made me aware that he had not received it and the IOSS number was sent
electronically. So frustrating
