We have enough international members in here, maybe you all can help…

Long story short, I can’t open a bank account in Germany until I have an address
which is a few years off. Ideally it’s with Commerzbank since most of my transfers
are to a corporation that banks there too and I like to keep things simple.
I send about €15,000 over every year and it seems like every time I go to do
it the conversion rate drops.

Like around November the conversion was at .96 and then it dropped to .92 by
the time I did the transfer. Somebody suggested I use Wise. But can I purchase
euro and keep them in an account or can you only transfers? I’d prefer to buy
and hold when rates are favorable.

I recently started using Bricksync and it works well however the "blmaster
on/off" option confuses me a little. it says you're supposed to never
change your inventory and stuff unless that mode is on and when you are done
you then turn it off however nothing seems to "break" if I change/add
things without turning it on and then later turn it on and off to cycle it to
process any changes I made. So my question is, am I missing something important?
I dont make it a habit to add stuff unless it's on but want to know if I'm
misunderstanding and it doesn't make a big difference if you add stuff without
turning it on or what.

Hello. I got what I think might be a suspicious email last night at precisely
midnight UK time ( 8pm Bricklink time ).

I didn't open it because I thought it might be a hack attempt, but it was
from Bricklink Team and the title was Attention sellers.

I'm wondering if anyone else received a similar email?

Is there a Lego program that has physics included to test mechanisms? I know
you can kind of test simple movement and collisions but I am wanting to test
a full mechanism that uses gravity for part of it. This would be good for GBCs.

I was just checking to see what's the average price, and there's a number
of sellers who has 50+ of this set somehow. The set was gift with purchase from
LEGO. Either someone placed multiple orders with LEGO to get 50+ sets or they
got it from another means.

Any idea how would someone get 50+ of 40712 sets legally?

Did you know...

Washington state is the top U.S. producer of apples, pears, and sweet cherries?
Especially the crops in and around our volcanoes, the Rainier and St. Helens
regions with that special volcanic soil. Washington produces more than 90% of
the nation's organic apple crop.

Seems every few homes have their trees blossoming just now. Makes for a wonderful
drive to the shore

And it's days like these that I miss having to pick up my daughter on campus.
I'd arrive early just to wait under the canopy of their famous Japanese imported
cherry trees.

All Tires in Bricklink have the same problem now:

1) When mated to a Wheel, the tire always ends up on a corner of the "contact
patch" (the greenish box showing the size of the tire, rather than staying
on a side.

2) Any attempt to rotate the tire to a side results in all three rotation arrows
activating, and cause the entire model to rotate, regardless of which arrow is
used.

3) It is impossible to screenshot any of this, as any attempt to screenshot results
in the arrows being switched off.

This needs to be fixed yesterday.

Is there any way you can move a piece (using a key or button or something) vertically
up or down in a model without having to drag and drop the piece out and up? I
am working on a large build and just had to replace some 6x8 plates with 6x10
so it threw my whole model off a little bit and am trying to fix it in the most
efficient way possible.

What does that say about our nature?

Today on the anniversary of Julius Caesar's death, Ides of March. Consider
as they say, human nature being immutable or unchanging over time What then
can be gleaned on this day, 15th of March?

When I import a .ldr file into BrickLink, all of the bricks are placed perfectly
sound, except for printed bricks. Even when the .dat item ID matches, in this
case (3069p02.dat), it still doesn't convert the file type to the actual
brick. Even if the brick exists in Bricklink, such as the 3069p02 piece, it won't
budge unless I manually change it. However, I also noticed that occasionally,
but not with this example, bricks such as 3068pb0191 will appear ONLY IF I change
the .dat file name from "3068pb0191" to "3068bpb0191". However,
I would like all of the bricks to be recognized in the Studio software. Any ideas?
And no, manual brick switches are not an option here.

Some of the bricks are not on the correct position, they seem to have lots of

I have been dealing with this problem since the past year, and I hoped it will
be fixed by now, but unfortunately, it remain unsolved.

Could you please advise on this matter?

Trying to make a random fig in studio, but any accessories or heads that go on
the torso won't go on without a fight.

I got the neck accessory on after about a halfhour of fighting, but now the head
won't go on.

I position it so it looks like it's on but as soon as I unselect it grays
out.

I know that there is a dedicated Stud.io forum but it's just a quick question
to figure out whether I'm sane or not. Is it just me, or were there a
lot of Minifigure legs removed from the selection of pieces on Stud.io? I was
sure there used to be more but I could be wrong. One particular piece I was fairly
certain was there that no longer is is:

I'm looking for a specific dolphin part (Item No: 33499pb01) that is in the
Bricklink marketplace and in a new Lego set (60438). However, I can't find
it in Bricklink Studio, even though I've searched for it and checked the
filters. I also tried to import it from LDraw, but they don't have a 3D model
for it either.

This part is essential for my project, and I don't want to use any other
dolphin parts (such as Item No: 13392pb01). Is there any way to get this part
in Bricklink Studio? How can I solve this problem?

I'm wanting to use these Powered-Up items but they are not supported in Studio
:
- Train Motor bb0896c01
- LED Lights 88005-1

Studio does support the HUB and Controller, but I am puzzled why the motor and
LED's have not been added. I have sent requests over the past 2 years to
get it done but no luck. I did create my own motor in Part Designer and it works
great with Studio, but gets rejected when importing into ReBrickable.

My designs include the 88005 light, again created using Part Designer, but that
gets rejected by Stud.io - as in the price price doesn't get updated or exported
and hyperlinking to Bricklink fails.

Cheers
Peter

I'm not sure if this is the right place or even possible, but I'd
like to request some features for future updates which I think is pretty simple
and quite crucial for instruction making.

1. Arrow borders - Would be great to be able to have borders for arrows as per
Lego instructions

2. Groups - This will be quite useful for workflows. It is not the same as submodels
in that submodels will be blown up in instructions as separate steps but Grouping
is mainly for viewport modelling. We can group parts in specific areas for easy
isolation to work on, but they do not show up as a submodel in instructions.
It's primarily for working in the viewport during the design process.

3. Isolate/unisolate - Some of you will know by now where I'm coming from
and what my workflow is like. I'm a 3ds max user and having the option to
isolate and unisolate parts is very useful especially for complex projects. The
current Hide tool only allows you to hide specific objects and then unhide all
of them later. While this is useful, it would be easier to be able to isolate
groups to work on them, then unisolate them. Then move on to other another group
or specific areas. It ties in to the Group function. Imagine being able to select
a Group, isolate them, modify, then unisolate then, then move on to another Group.

With the current Hide/unhide workflow, you will have to reselect parts to hide
again which can be tedious. Again, while I understand submodels work almost the
same way, submodels are technically separate micro-builds in the instructions
which should be able to hold it's form before attaching them to the main
model, but that is not always the case as some designs require building ON the
main model and these will end up having hidden layers of pieces underneath which
can be difficult to select and modify later on. If they can be grouped together
and isolated then it will improve the workflow a lot.

4. Option to insert rotation as separate steps, along with rotation arrows. It's
not like the flip symbol but it's used to show that certain pieces needs
to be rotated before moving on such as hinges.

Sorry if this is a useless post but I just want to share some ideas that could
improve the software. Even if it doesn't get implemented, at least I've
put it out there for consideration.

My studio pops up every time it starts, unable to create or load.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the software, but it still couldn't solve the
problem. May I ask which professional knows how to handle it?

Sunshine, comes to mind. It really can make you feel good! Especially after it's
been gone a few weeks, replaced with rain and overcast skies. A very chilly but
sunshiny workout day, finally. Don’t mind the cold at all if I can have the strong
sun's rays on my face

Across the Puget sound there, you can make out the Olympic Mountain range clearly
today. Though maybe not so much with the pic file reduction It's very picturesque
within that range, and consequently there have been several film and TV productions
shot therein over the years, Twilight films among them.

Have a wonderful day

Earlier today, I randomly decided to ask AI to create a Ninjago set with the
prompt
"choose a location from the Lego Ninjago universe and create a description
of a custom lego set of that location"
Now, I did this many months ago when Copilot, GPT, and other AI services were
becoming more well known-but could not get the AI to give me a satisfactory set.
No matter what prompt I put after, whether it be "Choose a location not done
before" or "Don't just reuse set descriptions" it wouldn't
listen to me and kept giving me things like "Ghost Attack: The Caves of Despair"
Now, however...
I gave the AI the same prompt, and on first attempt it gave me a generic entry
called "Lego Ninjago Monastery: Guardians of the Golden Weapons"
I then asked it "Can you choose a location not done before as an actual Lego
set", remembering what had happened last time I did that and kinda laughing
inside.
What it gave me surprised me, however. Quote,
Certainly! Let's explore a unique and uncharted location from the **Ninjago
universe** and create an exciting LEGO set:

---

# LEGO Ninjago: **The Crystal Caves of Lumina**

## Set Description:
**Set Number:** 71788
**Name:** Crystal Caves of Lumina

**Price:** $99.99 USD

## Features:
1. **Entrance to the Crystal Caves:**

- Hidden mechanisms to open the archway and reveal the secrets within.

2. **Glowing Crystals and Stalactites:**
- Build intricate stalactites using transparent blue and purple elements.
- Arrange glowing crystals (made from translucent bricks) throughout the cave.
- Some crystals emit a soft light when pressed, revealing hidden paths.

3. **Crystal Mining Station:**
- A small mining station where Cole and the Crystal Miners extract luminescent
crystals.
- Conveyor belts, mining carts, and a crystal analyzer.
- A play feature that allows the miners to "drill" into the cave walls.

4. **Lumina's Chamber:**
- A central chamber with a crystal pedestal.
- Place Lumina on the pedestal to activate her elemental powers.
- Spin the pedestal to create a dazzling light show.

5. **Crystal Creatures:**

patterns.

## Play Scenarios:
- **Crystal Quest**: Help Cole and Lumina uncover the ancient secrets hidden
within the caves.
- **Crystal Mining Adventure**: Load the mining cart, transport crystals, and
avoid the crystal creatures.
- **Guardian's Duty**: Lumina protects the mystical crystals from intruders.

## Bonus: **Exclusive Crystal Dragon Minifigure** included as a rare collectible!

The LEGO Ninjago Crystal Caves of Lumina set invites builders to explore the
magical underground world, discover glowing treasures, and unravel the mysteries
of Lumina's elemental powers. Get ready for an adventure like never before!
🧱💎

I honestly am surprised at the AI's use of such a random character-it has
improved much on the old searches from months ago. Kinda scary, but pretty cool,
too.

Please consider merging all parts with at least one stud. If you need a list,
please let me know. Listing more than one part that has studs seems redundant
to me. If this goes through i have some other suggestions:
Merge all bionicle parts with hero factory
Merge all cheese slopes with pizza tiles
Merge black with white
And there is more where that came from.

If you like this idea, please vote yes.

Sarcasm is the best offense!

So I made a Google Chrome extension to make packing orders a tad easier, it adds
a checkbox to each item on an order that when clicked, will strikethrough and
grey-out the entry, it also has optional settings to highlight New parts and
Used Parts, as well as highlighting Quantity greater than 1. Also works to inventory
received orders.

On top of that, I also added a search field to the My Collection page to search
through your collection (why isn't there one already??).

And lastly, tracking numbers on the order page now have hyperlinks to view tracking
data on the USPS website (sorry international users, haven't made a way to
select other services yet).

This extension was made for myself, but I thought it was pretty neat, so I decided
to publish it, hopefully someone else can get some utility out of it. And if
anyone thinks of any additional features, feel free to reach out, I really enjoy
working on projects like this, so I don't mind working on it further.

Please forgive me if this is in the wrong topic, I couldn't figure out where

In Studio, part 3044c is connecting wrong. The bottom connectors are positioning
the piece one brick too low.

If there is somewhere else, I should be reporting this issue to, please let me
know. I'd submit a fix, but I'm still learning how to use PartDesigner.

I'd like the "1:1" text for scale, in the size guide, to be optional.
Please enable us to be able to turn it off, just like we can turn off the length.
People can print on larger pages and the scale wont be 1:1 anyway.
It is unnecessary in my opinion and should be optional to display.

I am having an issue where Studio keeps deleting my steps. I have several thousand
part build, and I am noticing that steps are being deleted and all the parts
are being pushed into different step.

Example, I have 1) left leg, 2) right leg, 3) body.

I open the file, and have 1) left leg, 2) body. Body has both the body parts,
and the right leg parts.

Any help would be appreciated.

(alternatively, is there a confirmation to delete something? if I'm at fault
somehow, maybe I can enable that to see what I'm doing)

Hi All,

Question for bricksync users!

Just added about 200 lots to my bricklink inventory and then open bricksync to
update the inventory on brickowl too, and I run the command `sync` on bricksync
and I realised it just matched my bricklink inventory with the Brickowl and just
deleted all my new added lots!

I know all I had to do was bLmaster on/off but I don't know WHY I did a sync
command!

Is there any way I can recover those lots without adding them manually again?
I don's use any backup software, was wondering if I can do it through bricklink
or so?

Thank you so much for your answer in advance.

Hi

I am new to the forum and BL. I have been playing around with setting up an
inventory, for an eventual BL store. I LOVE the Brickognize feature inside
Brickstore. That is sweet!

Yet I dont get a preview image when I set a piece under the camera?!?

I can still hit the space bar to take a photo and Brickognize does its magic
just fine. But I would like to have the preview image appear in the image box.

Is there something I am doing wrong?

I am on a Mac.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I have recently ran across a link on here for BLS Manager software. I have
downloaded it and trying to figure out all the features. Can anyone recommend
any video or instructional links that may help with learning some of the ins
and outs. Specifically can you download and retain ORDERS PLACED and not just
orders received.

Any other software that anyone recommends would be a great help as well.
Currently I have only been using the new version of Brickstock, now called Brickstore
I believe.

Thanks,
Marty

Studio 2.0 opens with a dialog box about upgrading to 2.23 and immediately becomes
unresponsive. I have to force-quit the program.

Studio 2.23 is extremely buggy. It is sporadic in how it responds to the mouse-sometimes
it allows me to move a piece, sometimes it is unresponsive. Sometimes the pieces
refuse to snap to the grid and end up sitting between two positions. If I enter
camera pivot mode (right click), it will NOT exit camera-pivot and I have to
force-quit the program.

Please let me know when either of these options are functioning again on Mac.
I would love to create some builds with my son. Thank you.

Hello, all. This might be a dumb newbie question, but I need to ask:
In Studio, why is the 'Import' button disabled on about 90% of the models
that show up in the new project dialog? I'm logged in and everything, but
it appears that only a tiny fraction of the models can be imported. I realize
I'm probably overlooking something, but I'm new to this. Any help you

If anyone would care to calculate and declare the winner, let me know. I'll
send you the confirmation when the time comes, you take it from there in the

So, recently I was doing my own room in Autodesk Maya 2024 for my 3D Modelling
prelims for college and I thought of adding a LEGO car for my room... only for
my teacher to say that every item MUST be made by us and not exported.

But that's not the topic I'm discussing. I'm talking about how would
I export a Studio file to Autodesk Maya 2024. Cuz when I exported it as a .dae
file (Collada file,) every part were separated parts. I used the combine tool,
but it will take ages to combine to the point where my CPU reaches 105°C! So
how would I export it as one object?

Hello,

my name is Lorenzo and I'm a 23 y/o CS student and spare time programmer.
In the last few months I've developed a software capable of converting a
3D model to a constructible and stable LEGO construction (supported model formats
are .gltf/.glb (extendable); very diffused in 3D modeling software).

The software runs locally and is provided with an UI, but it's easily convertible
to a headless software that can potentially run on a server (for a cloud-based
approach). It's a C++ software that heavily relies on NVIDIA GPU (CUDA) to
perform the conversion; with some work, can be extended to AMD GPU.

Is it something that can be of your interest?
e.g. it could be integrated to BrickLink Studio.

Do you have the contact of someone from LEGO I can reach out to either showcase
this software or ask for a grant for publishing it and use the LEGO brand?
As I'm not sure I can freely use it now.

Best regards,
thank you,

I know I posted this question a year or two ago about Arkansas, but after
5 years and 1262 orders I have finally sold to all US states. I don't know
why Arkansas took so long. I mean I shipped to Puerto Rico and military bases
over seas before Arkansas. They are ranked like 33rd for population so I don't
know why I've shipped more to Wyoming than Arkansas. Anyway how many orders
have y'all shipped to Arkansas or what is your hold out state or states?

Please keep in mind stated rule #5

- All members worldwide are welcome to participate, though consider that
we'll cover domestic shipping only, should you win.

But to accommodate, we'll accept any US based address you'd care to give
us: friend, family, fellow member, your ex makes no difference to us.

There's no limit to number of guesses or entries, just keep it to 1 per member
per 24 hour period. Thanks. No tracking update to post this morning. Enjoy

When I open BrickStore and try to update the database I get a error message that
states "Could not load new database: download and decompress failed: Connection
timed out". Anyone else getting this message?

I just wanted to write a post about how tasty Maille's original dijon mustard
is.

Unfortunately, being originally coded in 1747, the forum doesn't provide
an easy way to link to a specific brand or style of mustard except for ugly
links like:

https://maille.com/fr/e-boutique/moutardes/moutarde-de-dijon-originale-215g/

So, my suggestion is to add a mustard macro in the forum like the ones
we have for catalog items:

[MU=maille001]

It would include a picture of the product, a list of ingredients, nutrition facts,
local and online retailers, customer reviews, suggested recipes, etc.

The link should also be localized to the viewer's current location. For example,
members registered in the USA should be linked to Maille's U.S. website:

https://us.maille.com/collections/maille-originale/products/dijon-originale-mustard

A similar thing could be implemented for pizza or cheese, facilitating discussion
of these topics.

I realize that BrickLink's less than thirty employees are probably very busy
and have better things to do with their time, but this is an extremely important
feature and should be implemented immediately. BrickLink is frankly unusable
without it.

Merci beaucoup !

I tried to open Studio today and found that it stuck at "update available
issue". No matter how many times I click the update button it is still unresponsive.
I've tried everything to fix it, including quit and relaunch, restarting
my computer, and reinstall Studio but none of them work. Does anybody encounter
the same issue?

Hello,

I am trying to make to make a moc in Studio and I want to used a curved slope
without any print designs on it. The piece in question I want to use is part
11477 (the same piece used in the 2023 Star Wars 501st battle pack). However,
the design it shows for this in Studio isn't curved, but instead is somewhat
"cornered." I have included an image below to show what I mean

On the right it shows part 11477 with a print on it. This is the correct shape
for the piece I am looking for, however I do not want the print on it. On the
left is also part 11477 but without the print. For some reason though the shape
is incorrect. It is not curved like the piece on the right. Why is this?

I have never had this issue before. Out of curiosity I tried to open some of
my older projects that also used part 11477 without the print and lo and behold,
the piece design was no longer curved but somewhat "cornered."

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Stud.io but that didn't manage to work.
I also tried saving the piece from the bricklink website so I could see if it
would turn up in my saved parts in Studio but that did not fix the problem.

Is anyone else running into this issue? Are there any fixes?

Hello,
I took some time to develop an app to make picking orders easier. The first obvious
advantage is that the order workflow is designed for smartphones (Android only).
The app includes the familiar filtering options found on Bricklink and, at the
end of an order, offers automation features such as automatic feedback, sending
the Drive Thru, changing the order status, and archiving an order.

The app is completely free and open source!

You can download it here:
https://mybrickhub.com/

Additionally, the app is currently in alpha testing on the Play Store:
https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.mybrickhub.brickpicker

Feel free to test the app and let me know if you have any suggestions for improvements
or errors
