Fortunately not, but we have had rain, hail and strong winds all night.

The hail was bad yesterday too, white mats of hail around for some time.

Just been reading that myself but not sure we’ll be able to see any change here
in the south west ( Cornwall ), it’s not listed as a possible vantage point here
in the U.K.

Seen some good ones in the past ( old ).

Seen many claims that they exist but all proved to be false.

Though fake Lego usually doesn’t have logos, pictures would be great

I'm not going to say it's never happened, but I've never seen a fake
with the Lego logo on it, not even pictured.

Really strange how so many people believe there is so much fake Lego out there
with Lego logo.

Seems that we have these questions or statements most weeks, sometimes more than
once a week.

Op : Other markings underneath will usually be part number / mould number and
position in mould / copyright / pat pending / pending Pat / both the previous
two obscured etc.

However, better to ask if unsure.

Real. If it has the lego lego it’s real. Some parts don’t have the part number
and some don’t have the logo and some have neither but if it has the logo it’s
real

Hi and thanks.

However I was referring to these discussions elsewhere regarding Lepin.

I believe there was an extensive discussion regarding fake logo bricks on here
where the outcome was that Lego confirmed they were real and not faked Logo bricks.

Lepin may not have been mentioned at the time but clone bricks with Lego logo
were questioned and if I remember correctly someone made an effort to discredit
the so called evidence by asking Lego themselves to examine them.

I may have this confused with another discussion but I don’t think so, someone
please correct me if I’m wrong.

I don't wanna burst your bubble but that is counterfeit. I have seen them
come up a lot in my unsorted lots. They are LEPIN used in their rip off of some
of the Harry Potter sets. If you check I doubt you will find part numbers on
the bottom but they will probably still have a logo but it will likely be rounded
off or smoother. They are likely still printing them from stolen molds that
were supposed to have been destroyed. Another give away is the color mixing of
Bley and Tan which was common of their HP knock offs. I find this a lot in lots
of bulk parts I buy on auctions. Another common version has Red and Dark-Red
marbling also usually with worn logos but no part numbers.

it was a generic replacement, so off a spool of some description.

So my question, do we sell fake none Lego on this site, no matter what it is?

No idea if it’s original.

The 2x4 red bricks are the 3001 old without side supports. There is something
strange with the 2x4 white. These bricks have the type bhol04, however they do
not have LEGO on the studs but a big word LEGO in the inside of the bricks. I
can't find them in the Bricklink catalogue. there are some other unknown
bricks in this set, 2x 1x2 red end 1x2 white with a channel that is much thinner
then 4216.I don't think these are early Chinese immitations
But what are they? I don't suppose the set is changed in any way. In all
respects the set looks 'as being sold'.

Hi

Yes it is the brick in the lower left corner. So it was a clearing of old stock?
And stock of old and newer times have been mixed, since the set also contained
the later version of the 2x4. (bho4).

It is and unlisted version like mine.

I asked the question about ghost slots because they can be seen on other bricks
but not these so far.

The 2 x 4 is an unlisted variation, it’s a bslot04 of some sort with the added
hollow studs.

I believe it to be the transition to the normal hollow stud hollow bricks from
the original slotted bricks.

Does it have ghost slots at the ends or even on the sides, slot lines still visible
but filled with plastic ?

I believe I also have these with Lego logo on the studs and underneath on the
same bricks.

Thank you for ther identification of the bslot vricks. No, the 2x4 do not have
a ghost slot. There are inly two of them in the set, the other ones are the bhol04
type.

I opened a 4642-1 that I had and found the string pack 4584350 which has now
had the set number added to its notes.

Set No: 4642 Name: Fishing Boat
*
4642-1 (Inv) Fishing Boat
54 Parts, 2 Minifigures, 2011
Sets: Town: City: Harbor

Just checking other parts, I found that I had the alternative “a” minifigures,
also included was a spare 97895 in yellow.

Part No: 97895 Name: Minifigure Life Jacket, Center Buckle
*
97895 Minifigure Life Jacket, Center Buckle
Parts: Minifigure, Body Wear

Not sure a note needs adding to the set.

Prices for letters up again in April.

Justification : costs and less mail.

My guess is that part of the reason for less mail is, you guessed it, the fact
that the price keeps going up.

Not particularly a fan of Dylan Thomas but this one has stuck in my mind since
I was a teenager.

Whilst at school we were asked to examine a poem of choice and discuss at a latter
date, for some reason I chose this particular one, somewhat odd in youth I suppose.

Not sure why you should rage, we all have our own way of dealing with things,
I propose to do just the opposite and slip from this life quietly with my family
and friends, maybe alone if fate dictates.

Perhaps this stems from being a quiet and private individual all my life, not
a rebel and certainly as little like a sheep as possible, no interest in fame.

No interest in being hugely successful ( loser to some, liar to others ), something
they will never understand but I don’t pretend to understand them either.

I am and always will be me not what someone else expects.

Afraid of death, I don’t believe so but it’s a difficult idea to get your head
around, horrified though at the thought of not having a lot longer with my afore
mentioned family and friends.

Never been religious and don’t believe in any after life, wish I could.

In Off Topic, popsicle writes:
Merely making your words rhythmical or their meaning metaphorical, doesn’t necessarily
give more weight or deeper meaning to them. Not at all, imho.

For example:

"Do not go gentle into that good night, old age should burn and rave at
close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Though wise men at their
end know dark is right..."

Dylan Thomas poetically postulating how end-of-life should be met. His take on
facing the inevitable is to meet it with dignity and ferocity “burn and rave”
rather than with resgnation. Don’t think Mr. Thomas was considering how someone
succumbing, not to old age” might meet their "dying of the light" or
understand that “dark is right” at their end. Though I do get the gist of his
poetic inference, and even concur with the sentiment somewhat.

Last night in bed awaiting sleep and respite of dreams to come, of a sudden I
decided to postpone both to recall the faces of those I’ve known and of which
I’ll know no more. Among the thoughts and feelings that incautious exercise
evoked; too many faces was the visceral takeaway before falling to slumber. Don’t
know why I wished to see each face, not really? Maybe not forget, to keep them
more firmly in my thoughts? Maybe it’s the idea that it should be me before some
others? I don’t know, I really don’t...

It is said that we die twice: once with our last breath and finally when we’ve
fallen from memory with our name being said aloud for the last time. Whatever
my reason for the “exercise” I was thankful for my ability to fall asleep almost
at will, regardless.

Been preoccupied with what my brother’s state-of-mind might have been at his
end. Foolish, I know. So I finally asked his son who was with him then “was he
afraid?” Only selfishly willing to hear that he was not, in part that
I might feel less remorseful for not being at his side. But mostly out of the
love and concern I felt again as a kid growing up as we did, as the protective
big brother. His son Jacob, close to his father, told me that he didn’t seem
afraid, he seemed to be at peace. His wife holds the same feeling about her beloved.

In looking past the morphine, was it “resignation” brother, or maybe you actually
knew “dark is right” in the end, which gave you peace? It's me hoping you’ll
argue (you being you)) that point, when meet again

Don’t read too much into this good people. Just my process. My self-therapy session
laying bare raw thoughts and vulnerabilities, if only briefly before I cancel.

I haven’t bought or sold any for some time and not rated by myself.

That ended when I purchased several lots I thought were worth a gamble, they
sold well and at good prices.

My suggestion would be to purchase both sets and lots if you think it’s a good
price.

Still don’t like them myself but plenty do.

gone up so high on some sets ? i never brought Bionicle items before because
i did not rate it much, but now it might be worth buying some more ? does anybody
know why ? is it because Lego is not making any more, should i go for sealed
sets ? or loose lots ? maybe both ? i await to read some reply's . thank

Some quick background. My parents and I moved from Falls Church, Virginia to
Germany in 1965. My father worked for a division of Johnson&Johnson and was
responsible for US military sales in Europe. As you can imagine this was an
amazing thing for me to experience. i turned 4 years old in September of 1965
and and it was either at this birthday or my following one when my parents presented
me with a most amazing lego set. Both of my parents have passed and I am now
a 62 old retired financial executive with a decent amount of free time on my
hands. Which i am now using to organize the the "stuff" that my parents
collected and saved for me over the years ( i am an only child, so i just need
to decide what to keep or not to keep). So here is a description and I will
try my best to post a couple pictures. There are two sets of lego boxes that
act as organizers for the pieces in a very nice wooden box with the Lego logo
displayed in the center of the top of the box. The dimensions of the box are
16.5 inches by 16.5 inches by 3 inches. Two fasteners open to allow the hinged
top to open. The box comtaines two lego piece organizers that have "lego
system" and the numbers 040 on the outside of the cardboard organizers..to
me the box and pieces look to be in great shape considering the fact that they
traveled frequently and went from Germany to New Jersey then to california and
ultimately to pennsylvania. I am going to try to attach pictures. But anyone
can let me know if these have any balue and if they do how could that be determined.
Thank you in advance gor your help..

Sometimes if you twist and turn the torso under a light then you may see a ghost

Are they using older stamps that are now not recognised ?

They should have exchanged them for current stamps which Royal Mail will only
recognise now, you had to send them to Royal Mail with a card/paper and not take
them to a post office.

I did this with those that I hadn’t used yet.

Not sure if this option is still open.
