I submitted 2 parts, with pictures, on March 10th. So far, they are still waiting
for approval. Is there an additional step I need to take?

There's no additional step needed, just have some patience, for there are
558 items with images pending. Stickered parts don't have the highest priority.
But it would help when a note is added in which book and on which page of the
instruction we can find it. That would save us a lot of time going through all
stickered part submissions.

While waiting, you also can have a look at the names you submitted. Both names
are missing the terms sticker, pattern and the set number.

To see examples, you can search for: pattern sticker*

Thanks,
Diana

  IMHO, the catalog for parts

Part No: 92253c00pb01 Name: Mini Doll Hips and Trousers with Back Pockets with Tan Shoes Pattern - Thick Hinge
*
92253c00pb01 Mini Doll Hips and Trousers with Back Pockets with Tan Shoes Pattern - Thick Hinge
Parts: Mini Doll, Legs
and [P=92253c00pb05] is a mess.
The image for both parts seem to have Tan shoes.

If you check the minifigures that contain the two parts, the images of those
minifigures seem to me to have mixed Tan and Dark Tan shoes.

My assumption is that the version with Dark Tan shoes doesn't actually exist.
I believe it is the result of the change from single mold with print to dual
mold without print. Painting Tan on Dark Blue will seem darker than painting
Tan on a lighter colored brick. So the "Dark Tan" print may in fact very
well be Tan on Dark Blue.

Please look at the comparison images of the former part. It shows the two different
molds with two clearly different Tan colors.

I have an disappointed customer at this point, and I hope someone will look into
this. Unless someone can find a dual mold Dark Tan shoe part, I suggest merging
these to parts.

/Jan

I am handling this together with your other request:

Contents as catalogue except one wire :

My 816 box contains :

1 x 766c28 light grey not 2.

1 x 766c96 light grey.

Can this be accepted as an alternative part entry for the wires ?

I can confirm that I had a sealed set as the inventory shows now (opened and
confirmed in 2011), but I also opened a sealed set in 2019 that has the two different
wires as yours have. Forgot to submit a change request back then.

I don't know if the suggestion includes polybags, metal boxes and blister
packs, but I can imagine that members also want to be able to search for that,
I for instance searched for metal box once. And I searched for foil pack many
times. If we would change names, I would add something like 'gift', but
not remove the existing packing. I would also prefer to add co brand Blue Ocean
to all sets.

I saw an activity book with a cardboard box attached, maybe a future replacement
for magazines' blister packs, who knows.

Unfortunately you have to go to the co brand list first to be able to search
for them.

PS and it's very hard not to destroy the magazine when taking of these sets,
even the metal boxes are glued and magazines are already damaged in the store

Although this Alien wasn't mentioned as minifigure / character in this set, it is mentioned in a City set, so we decided to add this minifigure here as well.

I have two different variants of this part, but it does not appear to be mentioned
in the catalogue, like I have seen for other similar parts.

I hope I am not overstepping by reporting this.

Also I would be interested to learn if there is any way to find out how the different
variants were used.

I'm working on this from the present, moving back. It will take some time
to check all 385 Mini Doll Legs, if Dual Molded or not. It will take even
more time for the parts like this

Part No: 92252c00pb001 Name: Mini Doll Hips and Skirt, Light Nougat Legs and Bright Pink Shoes Pattern - Thick Hinge
*
92252c00pb001 Mini Doll Hips and Skirt, Light Nougat Legs and Bright Pink Shoes Pattern - Thick Hinge
Parts: Mini Doll, Legs

because they appear in both variants: 'single molded' and 'dual molded'.
Which means the part has to be split and maybe even Minifigures. For that every
single set has to be checked.

Since we admins barely have spare time to dig into the past, this will most probably
not be fixed this year.

In timeline the Mini Doll Legs came
- first single molded (some still are), later dual molded
- first thick hinge (some still have), later thin hinge

The left one on your image is the oldest variant.
It's a Medium Lavender (single molded) part with printed Light Nougat Legs
and Bright Pink Shoes.

The right one is the newer variant.
It's a Medium Lavender Skirt with Molded Light Nougat Legs and Printed Bright
Pink Shoes.

After these came:

Part No: 35216ac00pb002 Name: Mini Doll Hips and Skirt with Molded Medium Tan Legs and Printed Magenta Sandals and White Socks Pattern - Thin Hinge
*
35216ac00pb002 Mini Doll Hips and Skirt with Molded Medium Tan Legs and Printed Magenta Sandals and White Socks Pattern - Thin Hinge
Parts: Mini Doll, Legs

The reason I didn't add it as a Minifigure in the Friends set is that LEGO

It turns out that the same Alien comes in a City set and for this set LEGO does
see it as a character. So you can go ahead and submit it as a City Minifigure.

Hi Ivana and Aleksa,

The item number has been changed from 32316pb01 to 32316pb081, for there were
already 80 of these parts with pattern.

Part No: 32316pb081 Name: Technic, Liftarm Thick 1 x 5 with LEGO TECHNIC Logo Pattern (Sticker) - Set 9398
*
32316pb081 Technic, Liftarm Thick 1 x 5 with LEGO TECHNIC Logo Pattern (Sticker) - Set 9398
Parts: Technic, Liftarm, Decorated {Black}

Next time you only have to submit the part, a separate catalog request is not
necessary.

It would also be great if you would mention the book and pagenumber in your note
when you submit a stickered part, so we don't need so much time to look for
it by going through the instruction books. In this case: Book 3, page 44.

Thanks,
Diana

As an addition to point 1.
If you think you found evidence for a set, imo you should never conclude that
it is the same in a similar set released in different countries. This is already
done too many times in the past in my opinion. There is a big difference in boxes,
instructions and contents in sets produced by Samsonite.

I know it's at the bottom of the list of priorities, but is there any possibility
that Samsonite could be recognized as it's own category? I ran into this
before, and wondered why they aren't seen as being different enough to merit
their own catalog entries.

On the bottom of the inventory page of these sets, it is written:

The instructions do not show a trailer on the ladder truck, but actual set
contents and the official piece count (218) and an image of all three trailers
together on the box, prove that the set did come with the necessary pieces to
build the third trailer.

I found and bought an extra white-and-black sheet from a Lego fan in Canada.
This is probably added as extra page for instructions of 357 to some copies of
this set. I say some, because I had not seen this sheet. I bought myself this
set with box and all parts from a Canadian seller in very good condition but
this sheet was not there neither.
The paper I bought might be itself a copy of an original one because the bottom
of the page seems to not been copies (the bottom rectangle don't have a line
and there is no number on the footprint). I don't know how to verify whether
my sheet is original.
This extra sheet proves that the set did come with the necessary pieces to build
the third trailer.

I suggest to modify the note for these two sets:

The instructions do not show a trailer on the ladder truck, but one extra printed
page was added to some copies of this set (see the extra photo of instructions'
page) and actual set contents and the official piece count (218) and an image
of all three trailers together on the box, prove that the set did come with the
necessary pieces to build the third trailer.

Your thoughts about the missing line and number were right. But it's not
a copy of an additional sheet for sets 357 and 570, but it's a black and
white copy of the instruction of set 640-1, released by Samsonite of Canada.
Truck and trailer seems to look the same, but are not.

Set No: 357 Name: Fire Station
*
357-1 (Inv) Fire Station
219 Parts, 1973
Sets: LEGOLAND: Fire
Released in Europe, Australia and Canada

Set No: 570 Name: Fire House
*
570-1 (Inv) Fire House
219 Parts, 1973
Sets: LEGOLAND: Fire
Released only in USA

Set No: 640 Name: Fire Truck
*
640-1 (Inv) Fire Truck
37 Parts, 1971
Sets: LEGOLAND: Fire
Released in Europe and in Canada by Samsonite

You bought this sheet separately, but submitted the image as an instruction for
both set 357 and 570, without any proof that it actually came in these sets.
In the attached image you can see that
1. your image is an exact copy of the Samsonite Canada 640 instruction;
which will never have been added to a set (570-1 in this case) that was not produced
by Samsonite Canada
2. if you compare the instruction of the images of 640 and 357 (570 is the same)
you can see that there is a difference in color of one of the 1x1 plates on top;
which also proofs that it doesn't belong to set 357.

Besides that, if it really would have been an original additional sheet, it would
probably have had it's own number, like this set has

Set No: 316 Name: Fire Fighter Ship
*
316-1 (Inv) Fire Fighter Ship
133 Parts, 1978
Sets: Boat: Fire
Imo your paper is a copy made by someone, who deliberately
- wiped out the bottom of the instruction
- made it in black and white

Therefore this request and both your image submissions can't be approved.

As an addition to point 1.
If you think you found evidence for a set, imo you should never conclude that
it is the same in a similar set released in different countries. This is already
done too many times in the past in my opinion. There is a big difference in boxes,
instructions and contents in sets produced by Samsonite.

Diana

PS I have two different instructions of 640 produced by Samsonite Canada, the
one without System in the Logo comes from a sealed set I bought years ago. Contents
of both is the same.

IF you use a gmail-account, the problem/answer may be explained here :
https://blog.google/products/gmail/gmail-security-authentication-spam-protection/

As of February, rules are far more strict (too strict) for bulk-senders.

No, it is not a spam-issue nor gmail-issue. The My Copy of Order Invoice and
Order Shipped mail are just not send by bricklink.

You can't know it hasn't been sent.

The customer however does receive their copy of the mail!

It's normal; mail servers DO silently reject e-mail and DO NOT even download
it in a SPAM folder for example.
So in this case the recipient cannot know.

Almost all copies of messages from BrickLink are send by blservice@bricklink.com
It must be a very intelligent mail server, being able to filter only those messages
that have an Invoice or Order Confirmation. Missing 1 ok, but missing all for
10 days in a row is far from normal.

Got an order on Jan 28, 2024 00:58 however not receiving the mail from it so
far. Send the invoice on Jan 28, 2024 13:36 not receiving that mail either.

Up until yesterday receiving all mails, nothing changed afaik.

Anyone else same problem?

Only just noticed that I don't receive copies of Invoices / Purchases since
January 27th.

Please fix asap.

I guess we are the only ones not getting copies of messages of placed orders
and invoices.

Missing copies January 27 - January 30

Same here, nothing wrong with the mailbox itself receiving other mails perfectly
just BrickLink mails are missing.

This still is an issue and it's been 7 days now. I don't get any messages
in my mailbox for orders placed and Invoices send.

I wonder why we have a 'Technical Issue' topic, for I have this feeling
it's not being read by BrickLink employees who are supposed to look into
it and do something about it. Waiting for a week wondering if BrickLink knows
about this issue and is working on it doesn't feel good.

Something changed starting January 27th and it wasn't me.

January 27 - February 5

Still no copies of Invoices.

Last night I received two copies of purchase confirmations (first ones since
January 27), so I pressed the invoice button of all orders placed since January
27: nothing.

Still no copies of these in my mailbox:
- Order Invoice
- Order Notification

Please fix ASAP !!!
and please confirm that someone is working on this issue.
