Your overall praise rating is 98.20% which is rather low for a seller with 5825
orders.

Orders do not equal feedback. They have 2550 feedback of which 46 are non positive.

Your overall praise rating is 98.20% which is rather low for a seller with 5825
orders.
This means that you have had 104 orders where something was wrong and you got
neutral or negative feedback.
So I'm not surprised, but of course I don't know the details. As a buyer
I would hesitate to buy from a shop that has less than 99% positive feedback.

What was it you ordered, parts, sets, or a combination ?
If it was sets only, and in original boxes, the shipping might well have been
high. Cost of order does not have a direct relationship to cost of shipping,
especially when it involves international shipping.

Did you follow this and request the cancellation, or did you just message the
seller asking them to cancel it?
If you have the NPB completed against you, then you can try asking for it to
be removed as you thought the postage was too much. The NPB won't matter
unless you make a habit of placing orders and not paying for them. However, you
might get negative feedback for not paying for this order and would not be able
to leave feedback for the seller.
In the future, ask about shipping costs before placing the order if they are
not calculated by instant checkout or detailed in the seller terms. Shipping
large or heavy boxes internationally with tracking can be expensive.

Hello! You mean multiple different types of sets?
Or multiple sets of the same one?
I have never seen a function on this site that enables a bulk buy. Perhaps one
of the more experienced Bricklinkers can verify. This site is geared towards
individual entries, but for the most part a lot of customers tend to maximize
shipping costs by ordering multiple items from one store.
If you are looking for someone to buy part or whole of your collection, I highly
recommend local marketplace on socual media or Ebay.
Happy selling!

Maybe list the sets individually and add a text to the description 'X% discount
when ordering 2 sets or more, y% discount when ordering 5 sets or more'

Sounds pretty shady to me.
So the seller can't work with the buyers requests.. but can immediately file
an NPB?

After 7 days you could have opened a NRS.
Although you've got the right to to cancel, the seller opened the NPB because
he wants to be protected against any feedback.
You can go to the NPB page and click option NPx "accept penalty and cancel
order".
One strike won't hurt your buyers status.
Or contact the Helpdesk if you don't want to accept the penalty:

Some chars are transcoded up to 6 chars...
So, avoid accents éàèöù and symbols like / \ or inferior superior, etc.
And leave you room, like better count on 240 than 255.
Make tests, and avoid the more non-alphanumeric ones.

I wish they were still there. That amount of data would not take that much space
and space is pretty cheap. I wish they would at least keep 2-3 years worth of
the order details. I would also like options to see the pricing history of items
longer than 6 months, especially for rare items.

Not "completely gone"

No, the detail is completely gone. Who you bought from, and the break out of
costs are available, but not what you bought.

When you download orders on Bricklink it calls the items in the order "details",
but it really isn't clear from the initial post if that is what they meant.

Details of a transaction are not solely the parts. You surely know this, right?

Keep the e-mails. ALL e-mails, forever.
Or ask if to each seller if he/she has a copy or such.
