In any case, the hub with clip cover was included in early copies of the set,
so the request to remove that one from the inventory cannot be accepted.

I have looked into this by comparing all instruction books that I could find
(9 different versions). Except for minor differences like language and possibly
paper size, there are only three different versions.

6381992: hub with clips, design 1
6381993: hub with clips, design 1
6396686: hub with clips, design 1

6411661: hub with clips, design 2

6411600: hub with screws, design 2
6411601: hub with screws, design 2
6447801: hub with screws, design 2

So the redesign occurs before the hub switch (which can be seen by comparing
e.g. books 6381992 and 6411661).

The hub switch occurs after the redesign (which can be seen by comparing e.g.
books 6411661 and 6411600, notice that the PCC for the hub is not changed in
the parts list.)

So the switch between the two hubs was not part of the redesign and therefore
this request can be accepted as a valid variant.

I will update the inventory for the redesign in another request.

Redesign

These are the changes for the redesign. Also, the PCC for the red shock absorbers
and the DBG Bar 4Ls were updated in the booklets.

Both parts are used to build the flying scooter in booklet 3 on page 111:

I have found 6 different versions of the third booklet, some may only have differences
in paper size.

The only changes are as follows:

- The bar (part 4083) underneath the scooter has been replaced with the two aforementioned
plates. This can be seen in step 858 on page 111.
- The trans-yellow jewel and trans-yellow head has been replaced with new designs
(different PCCs on page 165).

So I will accept these changes but mark them as redesign alternates.

I see no reason not to accept this change at this point. The part color and sticker
are right.

Actually, there are no instructions for this set, so the only thing that shows
stickers is the packaging and set images. On that packaging and in the set images,
it shows the small heart sticker with crown used on the bed, not the large heart
sticker with crown. Therefore, this part should be marked for deletion since
there is no basis for it having an entry. Basically, the stickers in this set
were meant to be used however the builder saw fit to use them.

Oh, there are two heart stickers? I didn't realize because the photo of the
sticker sheet is of an incomplete sheet with that large sticker missing. Thanks

opened 5 of these sets for partout, none of the sets had part 85861 in dark pink, however all had 3 (plus a spare) of this part in magenta

At this point, we will consider this a packaging error which do happen from time
to time. I can find no other sources confirming that this color was intended
for this set. Therefore, this request will be rejected.

This post is kept in the forum in case examples of this show up from other users.

Part not used in build but listed in instruction inventory list. (Can be seen in the prototype build with the blocked gun tube.) ONLY 1 needs to be removed. Form won't let me.

As another user writes, you can change quantities by using the "change"
action instead, then write the new quantity in the "Qty" field.

By the way, do you have your set in a condition where it was never mixed with
other bricks? Could you confirm if there is a 1x4 plate in blue? Other sources
claim that this part was included in the set.

It seems I made a decision to approve these changes too quickly. We need to look

Unfortunately, the situation regarding the tricycle counterpart is not this simple.
You have added a counterpart with a Dark Bluish Gray chassis which this is not
what's included in this set as it has a Dark Gray chassis.

We don't seem to have a counterpart in the catalog yet with the correct combination
of chassis and wheel type (notched). I am looking into this, so please hold on.

Here's an unboxing of set 4556. Watching the full resolution of the image,
I can see the notched hole of one of the wheels:

It is possible, though, that during their time periods, the sets in question
(4556, 7034, 6636, 6459, 6468) could have come with round hole wheels, but unless
we get visual proof from sealed sets, I believe we will not make changes to these
sets based on speculation alone.

As such, I will reject your requests and you will need to recreate them if you
find solid evidence. Your requests will be kept in the forum for later reference
if the need arises.

Thank-you for the reply and your research. I see the notched wheels in the image
you provided and I accept your decision. However, if the wheels are to remain
6014b for this set, I would recommend you delete the Inv ID 176898 counter part
30187c01 Yellow Tricycle with Dark Gray Chassis & White Wheels as that tricycle
specifies the 6014a wheel rather than the 6014b wheels.
As there currently no version of the Yellow Tricycle with Dark Gray Chassis &
White Wheels with the 6014b wheels, in the BL catalog, perhaps one could be created
and that one could be added as a counterpart to the set in question.

Came across a new one on these and the hoses definitely measure 13 studs long. Unless they are an alternative, but I doubt it as this particular set according to Bricklink inventory has the only known green hoses with 12 studs long, whereas there are a few more that have 13 studs long from that time period.

I have accepted your changes as the hoses of the inventory confimer can't
be verfied at this time and the original inventory's source is unknown. Peeron's
inventory doesn't state the length of this hose, and BrickSet state that
the lengths are 112 mm, so 13L is probably a good compromise.

That 112mm hose in the Brickset inventory (which comes from LEGO data) is a _ribbed_
hose, not the ones being talked about here. And that one is correct in the inventory.

Instructions are made long before the production of the parts in the sets. Part
designs may have changed in between. So except for rare cases in very old sets,
we never base inventories on instructions.

The official piece count for this set is 44, and this part is included in the inventory from LEGO. However, it is not used in any configuration shown in the instructions.

The same is the case for Kopaka Nuva (8571) but not Onua Nuva (8566) - though the Kopaka set has bigger issues in need of investigation.

Yes, that inventory seems to be broken.

Four small gears are needed in the build: Two for the main build, one is added
to the left arm in the second build, and one is added to the back. This is confirmed
by LEGO data which also says that 4106469 is included and that only three 451926
is included. Don't see the former in instructions, and four of the latter
seem to be used for the second build (two in arms, one in neck and one in the
back).

More invenstigation is needed to fix this inventory and I unfortunately don't
have the time for it.

I agree that more investigation is needed. I don't know where the extra 451926
came from... However, the Peeron inventory may be of help: http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/8571-1
It also agrees that there are four gear pieces and an axle connector.

However, I am still doubtful; as far as I've seen, the instructions never
show four gears, nor four axles, in use all at once. In the configuration with
the gear and axle on the back, an axle-pin (43093) is used for the left arm.

I've also gone through the combination model shown in the instructions, and
the fourth gear/axle is not necessary to build it either.

As a last note, the official piece count is 43.

I've been wanting to get a sealed copy to confirm what the included parts
are but that's one big investment.

The third third gear/axle is added on 21 if one wants to make the left arm rotate.
The third gear/axle is also needed for locking the arm movement shown own page
22. The set ought to either allow or not allow you to do both things if you wanted
to, so that would require a set of either three or four gears/axles which LEGO
says is not what the set contains (3 gears and 4 axles). It's really strange.
I believe a sealed set would be necessary.

Hahli Inika, like Jaller, contains 4 Zamor spheres of a color varying between Trans-Light Green and a darker Trans-Bright Green. It is very distinct from the Trans-Neon Green listed, which was included in other sets. My original copy, from a sealed set in 2006, included these.

A Zamor sphere project has long been in the pipeline of things to do, but it
will take some research and a lot of changes involving more sets that these.

Therefore these requests will neither be accepted or rejected at this point.
Please don't add more. We will get to this project eventually, but there
are more important projects to focus on at this time.

Part 85861 doesn't exist in Trans-Pink, and that color was retired long before
this set was released. If you meant to add the part in yellow, please read the
note on the inventory:

"There are at least 2 different versions of instructions for this set. The
differences for the second version are indicated in this inventory in the Alternate
Items section with Match ID 99.

Quick overview of redesign: The yellow 1 x 1 cone at the end of the fire hose
is inverted so the large end is pointing out. A yellow 1 x 1 round plate with

Does anyone know if this is how 766c* wires originally came in sealed sets? I
found a bunch of these with red tape in a lot indicating that the might be unused.

Instructions are unfortunately not a reliable source of actual contents of the
set as they're produced (possibly a long time) ahead of the actual bricks
in the set.
