I have a very suspicious order from a user. I'm thinking they are drop-shipping
because the address they entered in looks strange to say the least with a request
to add a few lines and the wording "important" listed. They seem to have
a few hundred positive feedback, but they also have an email that is entirely
numeric with an unknown two letter domain. I have a warning symbol next to the
payment in the order so they may have paid with an e-check.

I don't know. It could be fine, but it feels off. Any thoughts on how to
proceed? It's an order for more than a dozen Oni Lloyds so kinda pricey.

I recently ordered 6 technic hubs with clips bb0961c01 from a German seller
and received 6 hubs with screws bb1277c01. I contacted the seller who says it
is my fault for ordering the incorrect part. I have sent him pictures of what
I ordered and what he sent me and he still says I was wrong as he checked his
items with the inventory when he parted out the sets. I believe it was set 42129,
as this set was released in two versions, but the catalog and inventory does
not show this. He refuses to accept any responsibility or to check his remaining
stock.
In the meantime I have items I do not want as they are not suitable for some
of my mocs and unable to get any replies from the seller. I did NSS him but have
removed that and now no further contact from him. I am tempted to make a PayPal
claim.

broken on one end which was not there or didn't notice when listing. I contacted
the buyer and asked if they want to cancel and they do but I can't cee how
to cancel an order that is already paid for. Can't even refund it now. How
do I proceed?
Thanks in Advance

I'm struggling to get a refund for a part from a seller. Its now been since
the 28th when I indicated I wanted a refund (that they seemingly offered)

On one hand its not a huge deal, but this seller has not been responsive almost
at all for weeks since I started this "issue" discussion via BL chat.

First message/issue I raised was on Feb 21, 2024

It took them until Feb 28, 2024 to respond, only after after I went and contacted
them via their posted email.

Then after clarifying my issue on BL messaging, its been radio silence since
then.

What is reasonable in regards to placing a NSS on a seller for this? Or am
I misunderstanding this feature?

Hi everyone,
I ordered a sealed set and minifigures that were listed as new from a newly opened
store, the whole thing came in a paper bag in the mail. The set luckily survived.
Unfortunately, the figures are not new, they are used (torsos had traces of arm
movement, etc.). 4 out of 5 figures had cracks in the arm, one figure had a scratch
on the back.
I textet him to ask why he sold them as new and what he suggested to fix this
problem.
The reply was very rude: The figures were in good condition before shipping,
it is not his problem if the post office broke the figures.

In his shop the figures are still listed as new (now with description:
No cracks or scratches. Good condition).
I have written to him again and tryed to find a solution, but it looks difficult.
He just wrote: you can change the arms, they are not printed and not expensive
and he told me that he sold the figures cheap.

But thats not the problem, they are still not new

My question now:
I never wanted or needed to write someone a neutral or negative feedback,
but this one really deserves one. However, I am afraid that I will get a negative
feedback from him in revenge. I am still at 100% positive feedback, my store
has almost 1000 orders. I want to keep it that way, and i don't mean the
almost 1000 orders .
Is it possible to get revenge Feedback deleted?

Thanks for your help

Does anyone have experience with NSS this year? How long does it take for administrators
to receive messages? After writing to the administrators, do you still get ticket
numbers like last year?

The NSS was opened against me on January 19. But the shipment was delivered about
10 days earlier. No message from buyer only open dispute. At the same time with
the NSS here on bricklink, he also opened a dispute on Stripe. On stripe, the
dispute was resolved in my favor 2 weeks ago, but on bricklink, the NSS still
lights up. I have been trying to write to the administrators since the beginning
of the dispute, but without any response. I used to receive a confirmation from
bricklink that the inquiry was sent, but since the new year nothing has come.
Does anyone know what's going on? If the administrators are present? Have
any admins ever written back to anyone this year or have they stopped responding
across the board? Thank you for the replies, or advice on how to get rid of NSS
when neither administrators nor buyers respond yes. It's quite frustrating,
my experience from previous years was that the administrators reacted really
quickly (mostly within a few days) and canceled the unfair NSS, but this year
nothing is happening for the second month.

In my opinion, if I add to the NSS dispute the number of the shipment that is
delivered, the NSS should be automatically closed or postponed until the administrator
solves it, this way the dispute is conducted unfairly and for an unnecessarily
long time.

Got an order from a zero feedback user who created the account July of last year.

User name Albrick7.

No problems at first, I have never had a problem with a new buyer, but this one
is raising some serious red flags.

I get an order for my Medieval Market, and then a message a few minutes later
that states

"Good morning, first time making a purchase on bricklink. This item is brand
new?
What would shipping look like? "

Keep in mind this is an order, not a quote.

So I reply with the different shipping options and the prices to those.

They reply asking if PayPal is the only payment accepted, to which I reply its
the only one I accept, not sure if BrickLink uses others.

Here is their reply

"I have used stripe here for payment. I don’t have PayPal."

My reply, almost instantly

"How have you used Stripe as payment here if this is your first order?"

No response since that message sent about 8 hours ago.

Would just go ahead and send this to the help desk, but can't wait two months
for a response.

Beware if you receive an order from this user!

Hello,

I hope somebody can help me with an order that has been paid by onsite payment.
I got Bricklink mail that the order is paid and the 'Payment status'
is 'Pending'.

The is no money in my Paypal account.
The seller wants me to cancel the order, because there is something wrong with
the payment. Not telling me what.

What is happening with such a payment and what is the smart thing to do?
- Cancel a paid order myself. (is it possible?)
- Let the buyer cancel this order. (is it possible?)
- File an NPB. (is it possible?)

Anybody has good advice for me? Never had this before.

Hey

I would like to hear some opinions or advice how other sellers handle those situations:

As i sell many used minifigs as well, i check them before shipping even if they
were stored nicely. I make sure there are no cracks and no marks that i did not
had disclosed before adding it to the store. Sometimes of course you find something
or there is a new crack happening after long storage. Then i just refund before
shipping or check if i have that part/fig as well as dublicate somewhere.

But i had now twice the situation, that i checked the minifig i shipped before
very well (cracks, marks, scratches etc.) and shipped them and then got a complaint
that the "there was a crack".

I know its not true. But i can't proof it. So usually i make a replacement
or full refund, because its not worth the trouble. But its always only happening
on minifigs that are in the higher price range.

Sometimes i think someone just had a crack in his collection, ordered from me,
then repalced his cracked part and send his broken part back to me.

Anyone had such experience/thoughts and how you deal with them?

Had a buyer do a $100+ order, which was shipped and delivered. Arrived Jan 8.
Buyer marked the order COMPLETED shortly afterward.
Today (Feb 26) I get a note from PayPal that the buyer is initiating a chargeback.
No reply from buyer yet via BL messaging nor from direct email.

I've submitted the tracking number, proof of delivery, and screenshot of
the order marked COMPLETED to PayPal in response to their alert. Haven't
heard back from them yet, either.

What other options do I have, other than stop listing the buyer (which I've
done now)?

ALSO: I know from Facebook discussions that at least one other store got the
same chargeback alert today regarding the same buyer with an order around the
same time as mine.

Can a seller retaliate by leaving me negative feedback if I file NSS?

I bought a couple of Batman minifigs from a seller. Some are listed as NEW and
some USED.

Got my shipment, and two of the NEW minifigs came with somewhat frayed capes.
Obviously not new but these will be displayed behind a frame so I will let those
pass.

However, one of the NEW minifigs has a cracked cowl on the chin and obvious white
stress marks at the corners of the chinstrap.

I sent the seller a message through BL (now already marked as "read"
but no response. I did also send him a direct email with the photos.

I am thinking giving him a couple more days to a week to reply, and if not then
I will file a NSS case.

My costumer contacted me about missing his order. As I could see in my DHL Monitor
he or she received it on Friday 16th. I shared the DHL tracking number to give
the costumer the proof of already receiving it. It was shipped as a tracked and
ensured parcel. Normally the parcels reach the costumer by giving a signature
to the delivery man but in case if the aprcel if flat and small enough DHL place
the parcel in the mailbox of the costumer. Now the costumer claims the the parcel
wasn´t delivered and wants a full refund which I clearly refused as DHL clearly
delivered it within Germany.
As I understood correctly the NSS status is not made for orders which got "lost"
after shipping. I only could answer in the NSS problem window but i guess there
will not come any progress from the costumer so I´m scared if I lose seller status
by system after the 2 weeks. As I could see the costumer has no feedback yet
so it feels a little bit like a scam to blackmail the money back from me in a
paypal case I would like to know what I should do now.
I totally understand that the costumer contacted me and I provided all information
needed to find out everyhing about the order but I also clearly explained why
there is no legal claim against me or the possibility of any ensurance refund
by DHL.
It feels clearly unjustified to use this status to set pressure on my account
and I would really like to now how I can solve this technically correctly here
on the plattform to avoid any regress against my status.

thank you for your advices and support.

Kind regards

Patrick

Buyer places order and pays by credit card through Stripe.
A few minutes later I get a message asking to cancel the order, fair enough.
I have issued a total refund but I can't figure out how to cancel the order

Any help gratefully received!

I received an order from a store that has generally high marks, but some negatives.

The order was missing 5 pieces and also had 14 incorrect pieces. I've contacted
the seller about the issues, but my message has gone unread for 4 days. How long
should I wait before filing a NRS alert?

Also, according to the help section NRS is for orders where payment has not been
sent, but I have paid for my order obviously. Is this an issue?

Should I just drop it and re-order from somebody else? Time is somewhat of the
essence here, and the other unfortunate part is the incorrect pieces accounted
for 60% of the order cost. I hate to eat that. Ugh.

Thanks for any help or suggestions!

We have an NSS Alert currently because their was an discussion with buyer.
We provide necessary Feedback in the case, but didn't get an answer from
Admins yet. The Buyer has the possibility to close the open case in one week.
Which opportunity we have to react? Writing BL Admins we've done. In comments
we provide all necessary informations.

Thanks

I have been trying to write to the administrators for 14 days and no one is responding.

I am concerned with the fact that the buyer opened the NSS even though his order
was already delivered (he said it only after delivery without any contact, he
simply stated that I did not send the order), I can provide all the documents
about shipping and delivery (which I did via the helpdesk). I already sent it
2 weeks ago, unfortunately no one is responding, so I've been doing it every
day for the last week and still nothing, no response from the administrators.
How should I defend myself against theft when there are no admins?

thanks for any advice

What’s the current approximate wait-time for having an NSS removed? I know they

Hi everyone! I placed an order tο a seller for some pieces (145€ worth) and he
sent it to me but due to a mistake made by DHL the package was returned to him
and was never delivered to me. Since I discovered this, I tried contacting him
many time offering to pay again for the postage to send it back ( I know he received,
I had a new tracking number from DHL) but no answer. Should I open a case with
PayPal? I’ve tried with 5 emails and even in his language but no reply!

Hello,

I spent £25 on an order which is a fair bit of money to me, and never received
the item or any communication from the seller on this website or given email
address. I was advised on here to open a case with PayPal as they will handle
everything, but they closed the case in favour of the seller.

Again no communication from the seller and PayPal won't give me any information,
their response was for me to go small claims court in my county??? PayPal won't
let me reopen the case.

Has anyone else encountered this? My understanding is PayPal would be useful
and help in these scenarios, but this just totally now feels like I have been
scammed on bricklink despite using the recommended channels and methods.

Anyone have advice for me here?

I have received 2 NSS because of a missing parts and refunded the buyers but
having a hard time getting the NSS changed. These are the first I have ever received
since I started selling years ago and both came from new users that instead of
contacting me they file the NSS first. Now I am terrified of getting another.
From the way its worded it looks like you have to have 3 orders cancelled or
can you get your selling privileges revoked just with 3 NSS filed against you.
Does anyone know how this works or went through this problem.

Hi, I filed a NSS for a store after order wasn't shipped. Payment made 5th
Dec, Store closed by NSS x 3 or more on Dec 27th. Paypal dispute lodged. Seller
has contacted me now through Brickink asking for NSS to be removed to allow him
to cancel the order (and supposedly process the paypal refund)
Is this common practice?
Or should I request the refund be done first before removing the NSS?
Thanks

Hi, I placed an order on Dec 5th with a Thai store. It has been marked as paid.
Seller has yet to ship and the store has been closed since Dec 27th. I have filed
a NSS overnight and the order can be cancelled Jan 31st. Order was through Paypal
onsite payment.
My question is what happens when the order is cancelled? Will Bricklink arrange
for the Paypal payment to be refunded? Or do I need to message the seller through
Paypal now or on 31st of Jan
Thanks for any help.

Dear all,

In the last few months, we received 2 requests from buyers requesting us to fill
in the customs form with the total price much below the total cost to avoid paying
taxes in their countries (bigbao and lycaneart). Worst, they requested us to
commit fraud in our own country.

Those orders were canceled, so we lost 15 euros to PayPal fees.

If this happens again, we are thinking of not replying to the buyer about their
request and just sending the order with the customs form filled in correctly.
What do you think?

Don't you agree that the Bricklink Team could include a message in the newsletters
reinforcing the message that this kind of request is totally illegal everywhere
in the world, and it is not a special request from the stores (if they have that
information in terms of service)?

I don`t know how this is even possible but I received negative feedback from
a buyer who did not like the shipping quote I gave him. I told him I would cancel
the order, no problem. After cancelation, he left negative feedback that I was
out to gouge buyers on shipping and I was unable to respond or remove. How do
I go about having this feedback removed? There is no longer an admin help so
I don`t know what to do. So no transaction ever took place and yet I receive
negative feedback? Any help appreciated.

I had a buyer file a file NSS after tracking showed their order was delivered.
Even in the NSS they said they wanted to "cancel the order." I sent proof
of delivery to the site admins several weeks ago but the fraudulent NSS is still
active on my account.

I just submitted the form a second time but is there any other way to get this
fixed if I don't hear back? I don't like knowing that this person could
get a chargeback at any time.

Is it just the holiday season which brings out the newbie buyers who place an
order and then are in the wind about payment?

I've opened my store to allow 2 new buyers to purchase from me - didn't
have enough fb to do a manual invoice and my lot limits were low. They place
the order and then vanish, no payments. I've opened 2 NPB cases in the last
2 weeks .

I have reset my lot limits and expanded my shipping so IC can accommodate larger
orders in hopes this will fix the problem and send them to IC instead. I now
have 1 huge order , waiting for payment and it ties up my parts for 2 weeks -
5 days to open the NPB and 7 days to close. Not sure why BL cannot adjust the
close time frame.

Just wondering how other sellers handle these buyers - they don't communicate
or if the communicate it's along the lines of "can you wait a month for
payment", like I have lay-away plans ( LOL).

thanks

Hello Bricklink Community,

This situation has happened to me several times over the years and have been
hesitant to speak up because this site is too important.

There are sets that sellers advertise as 'Complete', not missing any
parts, but when the package arrives, there are indeed missing parts. Sometimes,
it's just one part, some times it is several. Sometimes, it's a mild
irritation, and other times it prevents the set from being completed.

I just ordered 3 sets from 3 different stores and 2 of them shipped with missing
parts despite the 'complete' status on the initial listing. (The 3rd
order was flawless).

In the past, I followed up with some of the sellers and they endeavored to fix
the matter, but it's happened enough, I don't have time to follow up
with everyone.

My question for the community: has this happened to others? Am I just unlucky?
What gives?

Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Toyboy18

Hello All,

I've been dealing with a VERY difficult buyer who's been complaining
nonstop about their order. The item was delivered in September, and they've
made fraudulent claim after fraudulent claim about the order. Yesterday, they
issued an NSS about the item, even though it was delivered, and they've even
sent me pictures after it was delivered.

I can't do anything besides post comments on the situation on the Problem
Detail page. I sent customer support a detailed letter outlining all of the correspondence
between me and the buyer, but I'm anxious about turnaround time. Is there
anything else I can do? The buyer is not being cooperative and is doing everything
in their power to get a refund they are not entitled to, especially since they've
since sent me a picture of the item fully built.

Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

I received the following email from this address: admin@bricklink.com

Email:

" We have reason to believe that BrickLink seller XXXXXXXX is running a scam.
We recommend you file a chargeback with your payment provider immediately.

The BrickLink Administration "

I X'ed out the sellers name because I had no issue with this order. They
charged me the agreed upon amount only once, and the pieces came fine. I guess
my question is is the email I received from the "admin team" some kind
of scam?

Not sure if this is the correct forum for this but here it goes.

We got an order with a (!) on the 'paid' status, which means that payment
hasn't cleared.

In the past when this had happened, we would go to PayPal and find the payment
and it would tell us when the payment was estimated to be cleared.

When looking at paypal we usually 'order from (buyer name)' and 'payment
from (buyer name)' as separate, In this case, we see order by (or from, our
paypal is in French) (BUYER) marked as cancelled and another one marked as completed,
but no payment. When we click on the 'order' there is no option to refund,
which tells me that this isn't a payment.

Does this mean that a bug let the buyer place the order and not pay it but bricklink
mistakenly marked it as paid and pending? Or has PayPal changed how it deals
with 'pending' payments and only show them once they are completed?

At the moment, the item is sitting on my desk and waiting for payment to clear
so that we can ship it, but I'm just unsure if there is something wrong and
if action is required by either us or bricklink or paypal...

So, back in November, I placed an order with a seller that has good reviews.
I paid the invoice and, it took him about two weeks but, he supposedly shipped
the order about three weeks ago. After two weeks, the package had not arrived.
I messaged him asking if there was an issue and if he had a USPS number for the
package. He responded that he would check with the post office that day.

A couple of days passed with no update, so I sent him an email requesting an
update. No response. Two more days passed and I sent another message. Still no
response. I sent another, high priority message and later another email and still,
no response.

So, it has been over a week since he said he would check, and I have no updates.
He never provided a tracking number or any other information for contacting the
post office to see if it has been lost. The package has never arrived (we have
a door camera so we would know if it was stolen). At this point, the only reason
I have to believe that he has even shipped the package is that he updated the
status of the order to “shipped.”

What would be the correct course of action at this point?

This is my first time ordering through BrickLink so I don’t know the right etiquette,
but I made a small order Dec 5th, and paid right away for a domestic order in
Canada.

Since then I tried contacting the seller asking a question (on Dec 6th), which
hasn’t been read. I reached out again a couple more times shortly after to follow
up on the question and no reply, and a day ago I asked if there were any issues
since the status of the order still showed that I had paid but the items hadn’t
been shipped.

I know that it’s during the holiday season and that this store is a small family
business with great reviews, so I assume they’re busy and haven’t been able to
get to the order yet, but I am just wondering if I should send a non shipping
alert because it’s been two weeks and no response at all, and when I made the
order it was still pretty early in December. I don’t have the intention of cancelling
the order, but was wondering if that sort of alert would be bad for them or for
me as a future buyer elsewhere. What should I do in this scenario?

I just received a very large order (over $2000) from a new account and the customer
has already paid for the order. But should I be worried? What precautions should
I take? I will deliver with insurance on the package and tracking for sure.

Thank you

Hi,

This buyer chose to have his order shipped cheaply with no tracking. I offer
several methods to suit my buyer's preferences.

Then proceeded to make a PayPal claim that seller didn't provide tracking
info

Beware!!! teresaleese

Hi. a local buyer bought and paid via "bit" app.
I tried to change the status of the order to "shipped" or "completed"
but I can't to that from some reason.
The message I get is: Invalid Status.
What am I doing wrong?

Hello,

I paid ~500 euros one week ago for an order and the seller is not replying to
messages or emails. He sent by himself a message on the day of the order saying
something about finding a large box, and since then, nothing. So I raised today
a NSS Alert.

I paid with a French American Express card through Stripe on BrickLink. It is
a "payment card" (= deferred debit), not a real credit one. I see BRICKLINK_SHOP
in the Amex app.

I'd like to clarify a couple things:
- Assuming the seller does not ship the item or reply anymore, do I get a refund
once the order is canceled (so in two weeks)?
- If not, to get a refund, do I have to contact Amex? Do you know of anyone who
had to do that in France and how they did it?

Thanks

PS: FWIW, looking at the feedbacks, a few people had the same problem and some
of them mention getting a refund from the seller. The store has ~20 sales this
year.

Hello,
A buyer has requested that I remove an item from an order before completing the
invoicing (not auto checkout).
Is there a way to do this? O can’t find any guidance.
Thank you

So a buyer has filed a case with Paypal claiming "unauthorized purchase"
on their order with Bricklink. The order was filled and shipped to the buyer
in October.
just wondering the best way to resolve this. I sent the Order info and tracking
number from the Bricklink order to the Paypal resolution center.
the buyer never contacted me via Bircklink. The name and address match the claim
and the Bricklink order.
Also, the user has good feedback on Bricklink.

How have you handled Paypal claims?
thanks in advance!

Hello,

I received an order where a part is 100% not Lego, but was offered as original
Lego with official BrickLink images.

What can I or should I do as a buyer if there is no response from the seller
despite email contact?

With over 1000 reviews, it should be clear that parts with studs without the
Lego logo and clear instructions from BrickLink that the sale of third-party
suppliers is prohibited here on BrickLink.

Best regards Daniel and stay healthy.

Hi,

Read the help pages about sellers not responding, and it seems to be I have to
wait 7 days to report that on my order, fair enough.

But the help page seems to imply another 2 weeks before more action? Will I get
my money back or not? It was supposed to be for a present, and now my money is
tied up it seems.

Thanks for any help,
Lozza.
