Try brickognize.com. It makes it very easy to identify different parts, sets

I think it's interesting that in Europe, patches are more akin to what we
would consider "tags" here in the USA. In the USA patches typically have
stitched borders and often have plastic backing.

| No, I can’t.
Sometimes when a new part is €0,02 I price a used part €0,01 so 50% less, quite
much in percentage but not much in total.
A larger or more sought after part can be €0,25 when new and used €0,15 so 40%
less and it varies all the time.
The only importance to me is what parts costs in other stores, so it is never
a certain percentage but always a comparison.

That being said, does anyone happen to have a good estimate for how much less
on average as a percent used are from new?

Hiya, I'm also a full time picker when I'm not selling LEGO here. This
is honestly probably an ebay item. Auctions are specifically for items you do
NOT know the value of. A place like Bl is for items you know the value of.
If you list it here, you'll have to start high and slowly move the price
down if you want top dollar. Otherwise you can just guess.
The value here is mainly the box, IMO people will pay ridiculous amounts for
boxes, and I must say, that one looks pretty decent. Most people seem to only
want 1 or 2 of these bricks for display or novelty purposes.
Its a great find. I'm envious.

Most "high value" bricks seem to be mostly either the (much less common)
European version of these bricks skewing the price guide, or one Italian seller.
There certainly is value in this set, but don't look at the highest prices
for individual bricks in the catalog.

LEGO sometimes buys items for their own collection. Usually, those would be very
rare items in excellent condition. They do not buy "everything they do not
have".
| In your opinion what would you buy this for?
I think this is worth at most 300 usd. But it might be worth more to the right
buyer.

Not my field of expertise, so I can't advise on value...
The value is in having the box with it, because not many seem to have survived.
The bricks can be found more easily.

You seem to have more bricks than were originally included in the set. I agree
with Stuart, probably parts from another set were stored in the same box.

| Ultimately, it's worth that which others are currently willing to pay. Simply
put, further market research advised.
If you're asking what you should initially try to get from those prospective
"others"? I've no advise beyond when in doubt, offer far higher than
your own expectations with a willingness to go far lower when revelation hits.

In theory, you can do it with an advanced search, at least for currently listed
parts. For example, this will give you the most expensive new plates: https://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?viewFrom=sa&invNew=N&itemType=P&catID=26&searchSort=B&sz=500
It is likely to give a server error where there are too many items listed. And
of course, just because someone is asking a high price, it doesn't mean it
will sell.
You'd probably need third party software to do it based on average sold prices.
Although I'm not sure what the point would be. Finding the expensive parts
is going to take a long time. You might as well list what you have, and only
list if it is above whatever threshold you have. Or bag the parts and sell bags
of 10 or whatever if that is above your threshold.

Hi,
thanks for your reply.
i am going to sell kilo stuff in my local store, better said pre-sorted LEGO
but of course, if i have a lot of 25 kilos slope decorated i would like to pick
all items that are 1 euro or more for bricklink and keep the rest in the local
store. that is a fictive example for my request´s background
i have actually about 8 tons ! of LEGO in storage, today received 250 kilograms
again and i want to restructure my business

The price guide doesn't differentiate between sets with the different Kanan's,
but does differentiate the minifigures. So I would take the price of the set,
used and complete, subtract the price of the dark brown Kanan (used), and add
the price of the black Kanan (again used). So somewhere in the range of $550
to $600? On the other hand you could sell the black Kanan, acquire a dark brown
one, then sell the set.

| the price difference between the 2 versions of the figure is about $350 CAD so
id say that its closer to that amount. looking at the ones for sale there is
a complete used copy of the set with the black hair version selling for about
$550 CAD so it may be worth it to buy the normal version of the figure and then
sell the rare version of the figure separately and then include the common one

I know that solid gold Lego items are very rare and worth quite a bit so I tried
finding more information about this particular one... but I found nothing (except
for one review on the mask with minimal info on it).
If anyone knows anything about this or can direct me to a YouTube video that

Well at least we know that it’s worth its weight in gold.
|
No kidding.
|
Did the seller say were it came from?
|
No. All they said is:
|
If you can’t tell where it came from it may be just a cheap replica made of gold.
Like a novelty or something.
But the case gives much hope that it is real.

By the way they say that the chain for the neckless is not included.

Hmm…. Just watched the video and, “that’s Astonishing!!!”
Also unfortunately without the chain the mask is “incomplete”

To those encountering BStore error on upload for the elements that BL changed
today, do a find/replace on your XML file to remove the "b" from the
element name until the DB is updated, that should fix your problems in the meantime.

| Brickstore's DB update runs daily at 5am CET (for the last 20 years).
While you are using an "outdated" DB, you might send PG requests for
item ids that no longer exist on BrickLink and that's why BL reports "no
PG data available".
I just ran a manual DB rebuild and everything is working again.
This is just how Brickstore works -- you normally don't notice it because
there's only a handful of changes each day.
TL;DR: Extras → Update database / if this doesn't help wait until 5am CET
and retry.

It depends where you sell them, and whether you set the value or the buyer does.
Stick them on an auction site at the minimum you'd accept, and if sold then
the buyer will pay the current market value.

You may just have to be a trend setter with the item's value, as new as it
is: https://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?pg=1&promoCatID=342&v=2
We've had to on occasion. Start high and work your way down in price, to
locate the real market value.
Also contact yokohama: https://www.bricklink.com/contact.asp?u=yokohama
Hear what they might have to add as to value.
Very cool item.

Ah but I see you don't have seller status. Perhaps do as advised, elsewhere
or upgrade to seller here.

What is his value though? The price guide for this one indicates what price buyers
are NOT willing to pay, but doesn't indicate what price even one buyer is
willing to pay.
It is a figure with low supply, but (at the current listed prices) even lower
demand.

There is one sales to be found at the torso level:

It seems that the other parts of the minifigure are low/normally priced only.

I also don't know if this set is worth more in the future or not..

It was around 2017 when I wrote game reviews. I got an invite from Warner Brothers
to come to their office in Amsterdam to check out their new game Lego Worlds
to write a review. At the end of the press event we all got this set and a review
code for the game.
I have opend the box and made the set, but the original plastic and instruction
book is still there. There is a small tear in the box but overall I would say
it is in okay condition.
Can anyone tell me more about this set or what something like this is worth?
Thank you so much for your time!
Greetings,
Myrna

If not reduce progressively the price.
But you must "upgrade" your account to a Seller in order to sell here.
Note: it may take up to a few weeks.

It is a LCP set, not a LEGO set.

Ah sorry you're right.

It depends what you mean by appraised. You could sell it yourself on ebay
or I think catawiki is based in NL and they often auction hard to find sets like
this.

BL doesn't catalogue LCP sets. None of the many other LCP sets are here.
| Also the condition is kinda strange, the fact that the parts came in a ziplock
bag is a very strange occurrence.(if that is to pass there may need to be a sealed
set unboxing) the box is in good shape, so that is a plus for price.

It is not that strange. LEGO didn't produce this, Bright Bricks did. Smsll
runs if independent produced sets are often done in zip lock bags.
| If there was less then 500 produced than that will up the price. (If it was handed
out for a gift to game reviewers, than there may be less than 300 still intact)
I would imagine that the game reviewers would not have kept the thing around
for long.(especially the box)

| Ziploc is quite common for things like this. All build and take home events from
lego are all ziplock bags

Well, it’s not an official set, and I don’t think it was sold by LEGO, so I don’t
think it’ll be accepted in the catalogue.
(The only exceptions to that rule that I know are the BrickLink ADP sets.)
|
No, it would not be accepted to the catalog.
And it is only worth what someone will pay for it, which probably isn't much.

It was definitely not for sale, it even says so on the package. If I'm allowed
to add it I will do that.

Thank you for the quick response!
You really think it could be worth that much? I've read a bit more on the
certified professional sets and read that they can not make more then 500 sets,
so that would make it rare right? I have no expertise on lego sets.
I have made some extra pictures of the pieces and the box if it helps to find
a price.
Also yes the pieces were originally in a ziplock bag, weird isn't it?

| Hello everyone,
My boyfriend said that old lego sets are worth a lot of money now a day. I have
a small lego set that I can not find anything about online. There are two sites
that talk about the existence of this set but nowhere can I find a price estimate.
I also don't know if this set is worth more in the future or not..
About how I got the set:
It was around 2017 when I wrote game reviews. I got an invite from Warner Brothers
to come to their office in Amsterdam to check out their new game Lego Worlds
to write a review. At the end of the press event we all got this set and a review

Can anyone tell me more about this set or what something like this is worth?
Thank you so much for your time!
Greetings,
Myrna

list more things people want and have low prices. dont add fees, have competitive
shipping costs. in general, its not to complicated strategy-wise but just is
time-consuming.

80 L being about 50 lbs is a good tip, thank you! I can probably figure out a
more precise (while still estimated) weight that way. Say it turns out to be
just around 100 lbs, would you say that 500 Canadian Dollars is a reasonable
starting point to list for sale (on Kijiji or something similar)?
|
Yes about $5-$10 CAD per pound is average and in general about what I often buy
it for
|
Definitely a very reasonable price; especially as the figs are separated (easier
to gauge how many there are in the lot) and worth much more $. I haven't
bought bulk lots in a long time (especially locally), but I know in the Ottawa
area if that was listed for $500 with the figs, it would be gone fast - hopefully
it's similar in your area
|
Awesome. Thanks so much to both of you again for the help!

Glad to help!
