It does look like it has been heavily manipulated. It looks very similar to the
dark brown image (orientation, pip on stud, shadows) but cleaned up and recoloured,
maybe put through a photo-realistic filter.

It doesn't look like the dark brown image that I can see.

Seriously?

I question why this would even be brought up as an issue, considering there are
zero of this piece for sale, and the few that have sold in the past were most
likely part of a rare batch.

Maybe because it gives the impression that they exist. The photo does look like
it has been manipulated. It is way worse than other photos.

The seller who added the picture, Brock's Bricks, https://store.bricklink.com/Brock?p=Brock#/shop
, probably added the picture years ago because he came upon a rare batch in this
color and there was no existing image in the catalog.

The list of "Known Colors" is automatically populated by colors that
appear in set, minifigure, book, or gear item inventories on BrickLink. Since
white was a non-production color for this part, it does not appear in any inventories
and will never show up in that list. You can however list it for sale in any
color you have.

Cheers,
Randy

It is a non-production part from the mid-90s. This was probably sourced from
LEGOLAND and was not used in sets.

One more suggestion,
We applied catalog request because this part should be listed in counterparts
for set 9398
https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=9398-1#T=I

Please include it in the set inventory.

Kind regards,
Ivana and Aleksa

Hi Ivana and Aleksa,

The item number has been changed from 32316pb01 to 32316pb081, for there were
already 80 of these parts with pattern.

Part No: 32316pb081 Name: Technic, Liftarm Thick 1 x 5 with LEGO TECHNIC Logo Pattern (Sticker) - Set 9398
*
32316pb081 Technic, Liftarm Thick 1 x 5 with LEGO TECHNIC Logo Pattern (Sticker) - Set 9398
Parts: Technic, Liftarm, Decorated {Black}

Next time you only have to submit the part, a separate catalog request is not
necessary.

It would also be great if you would mention the book and pagenumber in your note
when you submit a stickered part, so we don't need so much time to look for
it by going through the instruction books. In this case: Book 3, page 44.

Thanks,
Diana

Thank you Diana,

The forum is little bit confusing because it quite difficult to find our topic.
Also we did not get notification about your reply.
Thank you for your suggestion and for accepting our request!

Kind regard,
Ivana and Aleksa

Also I would be interested to learn if there is any way to find out how the different
variants were used.

There are many examples like this. The mold/print variants of the Mini Doll legs
were not added from the start, so it's very difficult to separate them now.
You can track down the differences from the PCC's sometimes.

(I'm not sure how to add it myself since it isnt accepted yet otherwise I
would!)

The book you submitted to the catalog has been added as b22sw07.

Book No: b22sw07 Name: Star Wars - Time to play! {Death Star Gunner Minifigure} (Softcover)
*
b22sw07 (Inv) Star Wars - Time to play! {Death Star Gunner Minifigure} (Softcover)
Books: Activity Book: Star Wars

You can now submit an inventory of it starting here:

https://www.bricklink.com/catalogInvAdd.asp?viewType=B

Since there is nothing further to do from our end, this request is considered
complete.

Cheers,
Randy

This is a known issue. It is on a long list of items in the catalog that need
to be split by pattern. Eventually, they might be fixed. Maybe. No promises.

These might be worth looking at.

Photo 1 is a better photo of the box. 4010pb01 was added to the catalog after
this set was inventoried, so I think this set was simply forgotten about after
the new entry was made.

Photo 2 is the only available evidence with the original box and cardboard insert.
I don't think we're going to find anything else out there. This belongs
to a listing that is no longer available, as the link doesn't lead to the
listing.

The cow in that photo is Dark Orange.

Picture 2 is an almost hidden cow in an opened box sold as "New" on eBay.
See item: 156000152927

That's a clue, but maybe not a proof.
Anyway, just me...

Normally, used sets aren't used to make inventory changes, but exceptions
have been made. I believe there's a help page/forum post somewhere expanding
on this. Unfortunately, these old DUPLO sets are notoriously hard to find sealed.
I'm going to make a few emails. Thanks for the help.

As Stuart said the 'known colors' list is populated from the part appearing
in sets.

So I'm afraid there is noting we can do to fix this.

Thanks,

Only listed as known colours if confirmed to be found in sets.

Other colours for numerous items are found outside of sets and can be added to
photo’s but cannot be listed as known colours in the catalogue.

There is no difference between these two.
All variants are the same.
Even if there is an imagined or supposed difference, it is unimportant.

You will forget about it.

Part No: 4010px1 Name: Duplo Cow Adult with Solid Black Eyes Pattern
*
4010px1 Duplo Cow Adult with Solid Black Eyes Pattern
Parts: DUPLO, Animal {Dark Orange}

The part in that photo is 13 Red Orange. The black-eyed variant was retired between
1990 and 1991. 38 Dark Orange was introduced in 1994.

The question remains: What color is the cow in set 2445? No idea. However, if
you look closely enough, you'll notice that the cow is the white-eyed variant.
The horse also appears to be the same post-1990 version. This one is tough, as
1994 was a transition year from old 70s colors to new 90s colors, and 13 Red
Orange remained on the palette until 2001.

This set is extremely difficult to find new.

That's very kind of you to offer. I just wanted to directly compare the original
hair with the newer ABS version. I've still a couple more places to check,
but if I come up empty I will let you know!

Thanks,

The one from the normal sets is definitely Blue printed over White. I have a
number of them, and none of them remotely approach Dark Azure in color.

Is it an exact match to medium blue?

Yes, I believe so.

If so and if there is really such a clear distinction I think 2 new entries are
needed (with different pb numbers so they don't get merged).

It's not safe to edit the existing entries because I bet there are a lot
of sellers with the wrong stud type so just changing the color on 3626bpb0844
will lead to wrong listings where if people want the edited medium blue version
they will be disappointed.

Thanks as always,
Paul.

LEGO Data online and in printed instructions both show:

PCC 6029715 in 850632
PCC 6017976 in 70502, 70504, 70505

Let me know if you need any images and I will prepare them.

Thanks,

but head 3626bpb0844 is actually medium blue.

It could just appear that way over the black and printed in a different factory
for the blister pack?

I suspect both are supposed to look the same even if the result is different.

Having said that these 2 heads will be merged soon unless action is taken to
differentiate them.

Jen I don't suppose you still have the blister pack around do you? We need
to be sure it's really medium blue and save it or at least add a note to
the entry explaining a variation in color.

Thanks,
Paul.

That would be great thanks for noticing.

I fixed the one below using an archived image (hard refresh will be needed) but
we have no alternative images for the rest.

As we can't do anything else here I have marked this as completed.

Thanks,

Could the notes on the Rahkshi be expanded to describe the tail color? As that
information is otherwise absent from the inventory due to the way they are set

In specific, that would mean:

If you really want to go down that road, you can request a name change for each
part here:

https://www.bricklink.com/catalogReq.asp?itemType=P

however, the decorated parts name are generally decided by the volunteer contributor,
not TLG. As a result the names are (somewhat) subjective.

With so many ways to search for decorated parts - by colour, year released, by
specific item number, by set etc. I’m not sure that it’s worth the effort to
make them match.

And please remove parts for bowser from the set inventory.

This is a brick built sculpture of Mighty Bowser who is not a figure in this

I vote to keep the Mighty Bowser sculpture as is.

It might be possible to add the parts to complete Mighty Bowser as a separate
alternate entry, but the Catalog Admins currently have plenty of work to do on
their list of changes to be reviewed, so it will be some time before something
like this gets added.

Sellers who are only interested in breaking the parts and do not want to sell
Mighty Bowser as a separate set of parts will benefit if it is left as is, with
the possibility of an alternate entry for his parts, but would complicate things
if they had to break the figure in order to list his parts without listing them
as a separate figure.

I don’t know. The super mario line has many figures that are brick built for
example...

Minifig No: mar0002 Name: Bowser - Tan Tile, Round 1 x 1 Quarter on Nose
*
mar0002 (Inv) Bowser - Tan Tile, Round 1 x 1 Quarter on Nose
Minifigures: Super Mario

This figure consists of almost 150 parts!

and the one from that set likely consists of 1000-1500 parts... big difference

I guess, but where do we draw the line?

There might be a guideline somewhere

Yep. #10 here:

but I dont know if I've ever seen a
figure exceed 200ish parts otherwise every single buildable r2-d2 set ever released
would have the figure's cataglouged but considering other than the standard
versions (and slightly modified ones) none in the past like 20 years have been
added we know there is a limit

Thanks for letting us know about this.

Yes, now everything is indeed displayed completely correctly! Thanks a lot!

Hi this is my first post sorry if I'm bad at this,

I think the first image figure sp119 is incorrect? In the main photo he's
wearing an air tank but in the inventory it says he didn't come with one.
I've just looked through the instructions on the Lego site and they don't
show up anywhere there either. I don't know if I'm doing this right but
it's something I noticed.

Indeed you are correct and did do it right.

I have removed that incorrect image but you will need a hard refresh in your
browser to see the change.

Thanks for spotting it.

Paul.

Awesome, Thanks for the help!

Moon.

Do you ever see Green Titan's face or hair in the TV show?

Sure they are similar but like my other reply the similarities may be coincidental
rather than cty1575 actually being Green Titan.

Maybe the characters in the TV show are modelled on the already released minifigures
rather than the minifigures being the actual characters from the TV show?

Hi this is my first post sorry if I'm bad at this,

I think the first image figure sp119 is incorrect? In the main photo he's
wearing an air tank but in the inventory it says he didn't come with one.
I've just looked through the instructions on the Lego site and they don't
show up anywhere there either. I don't know if I'm doing this right but
it's something I noticed.

Comic Shop Guy - Male, Bright Light Orange Dragon Suit and Legs, Red Dragon Head,
Dark Purple Shoulder Armor / Item number- cty1644

name is actually Night Raptor.

Proof: the name Night Raptor was said in episode 9 of LEGO city no limits tv
show.
The context was, Night Raptor was a character in the movie, Green Titan into
the Moon.

So if possible change catalog listing to include the name Night Raptor.

cty1644 does have different face though. Different shaped eyebrows and he has
cheek and chin lines.

I would say cty1644 is a different person dressed up as Night Raptor.

But I don't think cty1644 is Night Raptor.

Not to mention that the super Mario line has many figures made from over 100pc.
I think the biggest one is dry bowser 159pc.

So, your reasoning is that since we have a figure with 159pcs it makes sense
to also add one with 1500pcs?

Large assemblies are not handled well by our Catalog. 159pcs are annoying to
check and inventory. So,yes there is a line somewhere.

they are getting exactly the same treatment as Bowser.
The entire set is in the catalog, there is not part or subset for the figures.

That was my point.

Please remove both relationships. Thank you.

Hi,

You are absolutely right about this. Unfortunately the problem is, that it's
one big relationship with wheels that fit tires and every item can only be in
one relationship. If we would remove bb0046 from this relationship, this windup
motor will not only loose the relationship with tire 3634, but with all tires.

So I prefer to add a note to both items, so the relationship with other tires
will stay.

Thank you for letting us know,

There might be a guideline somewhere but I dont know if I've ever seen a
figure exceed 200ish parts otherwise every single buildable r2-d2 set ever released
would have the figure's cataglouged but considering other than the standard
versions (and slightly modified ones) none in the past like 20 years have been
added we know there is a limit

Hmm... as far as I think r2 d2 shouldn’t even be a figure, it’s a robot! Which
is made of parts, which can be disassembled.

Please add Bowser figure for set

Set No: 71411 Name: The Mighty Bowser
*
71411-1 (Inv) The Mighty Bowser
2807 Parts, 2022
Sets: Super Mario: Sculptures

And please remove parts for bowser from the set inventory.

This is a brick built sculpture of Mighty Bowser who is not a figure in this
set.

Cheers ...

This figure consists of almost 150 parts!

and the one from that set likely consists of 1000-1500 parts... big difference

its already an alternate number for the part
"Item No: 44728 Alternate Item No: 21712, 86644, 92411"
and has this note
"Additional Notes The underside of this part has slightly changed during
production as reflected in the additional large image."

The box entry for 43222-1 Disney Castle shows the same dimensions as the set
dimensions. I've measured the box dimensions as 47.8 x 52.2 x 21.7 cm. Cloud
you please change the original box entry item dimensions?

You deleted the old correct image and left a new incorrect one.. Now two figures

You may have to do a hard refresh of the catalog pages to see the updates, Elena,
but the updates were made, and the images are showing the correct figures now.
Thanks for letting us know about this.

I do subscribe to the catalog newsletter, and after seeing it again, I remember
it now. Looking at the pictures of the decorated parts, I see that it has
been around since at least 2019 and maybe earlier.

The split was actually featured in the most recent Catalog newsletter. Not sure

You can check if you have Newsletters enabled here:

But would be nice to have them automatically posted somewhere on the site too.
