| Having heard all of the recent news regarding Bricklink's plan to merge mold
variants, and the possible flaws regarding that plan such as certain mold variants
having functional differences such as Part 15573 being mixed up with other jumper
plates, I have come to realize that if customers are worried about purchasing
outdated parts or colors, they should really be shopping on The LEGO Group's
official Pick a Brick website, which only sells parts that are currently being
manufactured.
I see Bricklink as a preservation website, where it should be able to preserve
parts of LEGO's history. And the thing is, one cannot buy retired elements
such as parts from the Bionicle sets on Pick a Brick, or parts in retired
colors like translucent neon green. People will flock to Bricklink just to get
those retired elements. The act for merging catalog entries for similar molds
in order to avoid customer confusion not only endangers the preservation and
documentation of specific LEGO parts, but it also can create further customer
confusion and frustration in the event they buy the wrong type of parts.

| I’ve been a member here since the earliest days, according to user number I understand
that I’m one of the first two thousand members of this site. In the time between
when I originally joined and now we’ve seen many great improvements, so much
so the site is barely recognizable anymore. However the entire time there has
been one core guiding principle: BL provides users with a way to buy the parts
they need.
With this merge that will be eliminated. I won’t be able to easily identify I
need a 9 ratchet dual hinge piece or an axle hole variant of a 2x2 modified bricks
with hinge in my want list for a set I’m trying to put together based on communication
shared by the admins. This is a clear move backwards in friendliness and functionality.
I can’t recall a loss of functionality like this in my time at BL. Sure there
have been some things that have been eliminated but none of them would prevent
putting a set together or identifying a needed piece.
I understand these changes may make life easier for sellers but it’s important
to also make life livable for buyers too. Surely there is some other solution
that can be found to this problem, because it’s clear that this wide ranging
merge that includes merging pieces with differential functionality within the
system is not the right answer.

| I have been creeping to 20k orders placed and we went by it over the weekend.
Just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to the brick link community for all
the orders. My story is similar to a lot of people I am sure. Found brick link
trying to put together old Star Wars sets for my kids. Was a buyer for awhile
until I said to my wife while on recovery from Hernia surgery " I think I
will open up a store just for fun" 9 years or so later here we are. A lot
of mistakes and frustrations along the way but..... the community is outstanding
and I have made several great relationships along the way. Again thank you all.

| Holy Cow! I'm not reading through all those replies, so I apologize if this
has been covered. I for one have found keeping up with all the variants to be
exhausting over the last 9 years, however, from the standpoint of trying to complete
sets, it is important to know the variations of an element, and which variation
you need to acquire in order to complete your set.
If it is no longer mandatory to keep up with distinctions, it will be even more
difficult and frustrating from a buying standpoint, always having to ask before
you buy, which will fluster the seller, especially if they have no idea which
variant they have and probably will not want to go digging to find out.

| I have done this numerous times over the years, and I continually enjoy the challenge
of doing it, so here we go again… I can’t believe it’s been so long since
the last time!
I am once again offering to create a Custom Store Logo and/or ID Card Image to
whoever would like one... I have created hundreds of these logos over the years
(see examples in the images below), and I love the challenge of making new ones.
To take advantage of this offer, all you need to do is send me a message through
Bricklink with a basic description of what you would like in a custom logo and
I will get to work—simple as that. Alternatively, if you would like a
similar design to one of the examples below, just point that out in the message
(providing me with an idea of what you’d like gives me a good starting point
to creatively build upon; because if you don’t, you’ll simply get whatever I
create at the moment—which will tend to be whatever is currently on my mind).
Just as the times I have offered this previously, I am not asking for anything
in return… while it is true that I have been offered coupons and direct payments
via PayPal for my work, I want to be clear: that is not required; it is definitely
appreciated, but it is absolutely not required...
The only thing I ask for is a little patience. When I have done this previously,
I will occasionally get flooded with requests (and it sometimes takes me a little
more time to provide a design or two for each request). Though you may not get
an immediate response, you will receive one *eventually* (I can honestly say
I have created at least a few logo options for every single individual that has
requested one)…
Note: the images below do not appear of great resolution quality; though that
is more the limitation of Bricklink for the size/format of allowable forum images;
any logos I will create for you will be a much higher resolution quality.

There was advice that the satchels I use, were being phased out, but it has now hit my local Post Office.
As existing customers of my store would know, I use recycled items wherever possible.
This included the AusPost small Stachel which was %100 recycled (brown version), it wasn't the cheapest in the shop, but the best value for the environment.
However, this satchel has been phased out in favor of a ridged cardboard version without padding. I'm told it is still from recycled paper, but it doesn't show any recycling signs or a statement.
Even if it is earth-friendly, I'll be sending out my last few brown padded satchels until they run out and then I have no choice but to start using the replacement one.
This will have at least two effects, parts sent in these will be at a higher risk of being crushed, and if I have to add a small protective box, the new satchel is far less flexible and won't allow for much of a bulge. This means the defined dimensions will have to be reduced, and shipping costs will have to be re-evaluated.
I'm afraid, there is nothing good about this that will lead to cheaper shipping. The satchel is slightly cheaper, but if I have to add an internal box, that will increase the overall packing.

I have been buying and selling on Bricklink since 2010, but closed my shop in
2015 due to big move and changes in my families lives.
I have definitely been buying a lot over these past years but it is time to part

We have made the decision to reset our store after a year of operation.
We are now open as J.R.P and full time now.

| Hi there,
Due to unforeseen changes in my life I am exploring ways to sell all of my Lego.
I currently have a Bricklink store with stock value of approximately £3000 (all
items are priced at the lowest end of the price guide for the UK).
I also have many Lego sets, items not in my inventory, Lego pieces that are arranged
into colours and sizes (currently used as spares for completing sets), many (hundreds)
minifigures still to be processed and entered into my store along with hundreds
of instructions and accessories. Many containers and boxes will be included.
Also included is approximately 100kg of unsorted Lego that includes, Pirates,
Harry Potter, City, Space and other themes.
A van would be required to transport the volume of Lego and I would be willing
to arrange this and delivery in the UK.
This is not an easy process for me to move through, however I need to clear out
the space and am looking for a genuine buyer rather than making a huge profit.
I can photograph the many containers of Lego or welcome a viewing and am open
to reasonable offers.

| JOIN UNIVERSE IN CONFLICT! Please consider joining my new stud.io gallery group
called Universe in Conflict. The theme of the group is Cyberspace, my cyberpunk-space
combo theme, and only Cyberspace builds will be accepted as part of the group.
If you are interested please comment so down in the comments and also provide
a sample build on your page. If you apply you will have to wait for approval
from the coordinators (Zeldafan and other founders Rx712, Futurism_Lego, and
Mars_Belfort). Please also check out my Universe in Conflict faction standards
for faction ideas (you can also make up your own faction). Please also check
out my other mocs so you can get the jist of what Cyberspace looks like.
Universe in Conflict Rules
Your builds must be high-quality and 100% buildable in real life (besides
custom decals and torsos).
All builds entered as part of the group must be tagged "Universe in Conflict".
No non-Cyberspace builds will be considered part of the group.
No creating story lines or lore that put down or wipe out other peoples factions
without their consent.
Your faction is not the center faction, the 2 largest competing factions
are the Blacktron Union and the Federation.
All factions in the universe must use laser weapons.
No camo! Only grays/black with faction colors may be used in builds.
Be kind to other group members, no trash talk, only encouragement and support.

| Hello!
I want to close out my Bricklink store!
Theres some changings coming my way (for the better!) and I need to give up one
of my passions to make room for a new investment!
Ive been fortunate enough to be able to sell/trade on Bricklink and now its time
to move onto another investment. Im located in NYC and ideally, a pickup sale
would be perfect but I am willing to ground ship within USA.
Currently, all of my bricks are stored in plastic Sterilite containers, and within
those containers are large ziplock bags that separate into smaller bags. Stored
in a HEPA filtered room with UV tinted windows. No cats/dogs, NON SMOKER.
If I were to ship I could remove all the containers and ship them in their ziplock
bags/baggies. They're all labeled in 04001 etc 05401 for easy referencing.
Each container is its unique section (ie 1x1 Brick, Wheels, Technic brick, Tiles,
etc). I will gladly put each container into a large bag for easy sorting.
Bricklink shows my valuation at $6,300.
Total 46,355 items in 5,191 lots in 145 categories.
Im open to reasonable offers. If I cant sell on bricklink I may try my nearest
Bricks&Minifigs/Reddit or just store them in the basement.
The majority are NEW UNUSED pieces, and the USED pieces are stored separately.
