Hi everyone! I placed an order tο a seller for some pieces (145€ worth) and he
sent it to me but due to a mistake made by DHL the package was returned to him
and was never delivered to me. Since I discovered this, I tried contacting him
many time offering to pay again for the postage to send it back ( I know he received,
I had a new tracking number from DHL) but no answer. Should I open a case with
PayPal? I’ve tried with 5 emails and even in his language but no reply!

Just to be clear, did you send any messages thru BrickLink? The reason I ask
is because some sellers dont respond to emails but will respond to BrickLink
messages.

Haven’t built anything for some time but decided to build some flower based sets
for my wife.

She doesn’t like cut flowers, they die and she can’t stand the feeling of them
and the slime you sometimes get in the vase.

Not a fan of dried flowers or fake flowers, so the logical thing to me is Lego
based.

Just built 10313, 10311 and 10280 in that order, love the result.

Set No: 10313 Name: Wildflower Bouquet
*
10313-1 (Inv) Wildflower Bouquet
939 Parts, 2023
Sets: Creator: Creator Expert: Botanical Collection

Set No: 10311 Name: Orchid
*
10311-1 (Inv) Orchid
608 Parts, 2022
Sets: Creator: Creator Expert: Botanical Collection

Set No: 10280 Name: Flower Bouquet
*
10280-1 (Inv) Flower Bouquet
756 Parts, 2021
Sets: Creator: Creator Expert: Botanical Collection

The only minor criticism is that some connections were a little loose, however
they worked

You could use superglue.

Oh crap, now I will banned on the forums

Everybody

TL;DR: The version doesn't matter - the datacenter hosting the server with
the database has routing problems. Nothing I can do about it, but should hopefully
be up and running again shortly.

Thanks for letting us know and as a side note: I just wanted to say THANK YOU
SO VERY MUCH!!! Thank you for keeping BrickStore up and running and constantly
making it better by adding more features. I really love and appreciate this software
(especially being able to update Remarks without needing to change anything else).
I cant imaging having a store on BrickLink without it.

To top it all off you offer it free of charge but for anyone interested, on BrickStore's
GitHub page there is a "Sponsor" link where we can help to keep BrickStore
going.

Again, thanks for keeping BrickStore going. Jim.

Forgot to mention that I tried on 2 different computers. I downloaded the newest
version and still the database issue and I even tried installing an older version
of BrickStore to see if the older versions have the same problem and they do.

How would I set up shipping costs for purchasing the label online? Would I use
request invoice? Do you know where the price chart for purchasing it online is?
Thank you

Sign up for Pirate Ship

Look at the prices on the USPS web site for Ground Advantage commercial

Thank you so much for your help! As we are both from New Jersey, would you be
able to send your shipping price table so I can gauge what prices are normal?
If you can, send it through my email. Thank you again

You can go to our store and look at our store terms, this will give you a good
idea of what to charge. You can copy and paste anything you want from our store
terms, we wont mind.

Another thing you should try is putting all your parts on sale at around 10 to
15% off. I noticed that all your prices are at the 6 month sales average which
is a good place to start but for a small starting store I think putting your
parts up at 10 to 15% off may really help. I know the closer we get to putting
our parts at 15% off the 6 month sales average the more sales our store receives.

What would be your proposal for BL?

What action can I take if he is already on my stoplist?

Well of course close all stores except ours!

But seriously. I know where your coming from because it really comes down to
where do you draw the line? Everyone will have a differing opinion on where that
line should be and once the line is drawn what happens when you, me, or anyone
else crosses that threshold by just one negative? No one would would want their
store to be closed down because of just that one feedback that causes us to cross
that threshold.

But when a store has at least a few thousand feedbacks for selling and 10% or
more of them are negative / neutrals, maybe an actual percentage should not automatically
close down their store but I think it would be good for BrickLink to examine
stores with a high percentage of bad feedbacks and first maybe give them a warning
to clean up their act and if after a certain period of time they dont change
then BL should consider further consequences.

We have had our share of neutral and negative feedbacks - at total of 26 - but
how are some stores still allowed to do business? There is a store in Germany
with around 8850 total feedbacks but out of his 7151 feedbacks for selling he
has 393 negative / neutrals. This past year alone he has 503 positive but 48
negative / neutrals - that is almost 10%!! That means 1 out of every 10 customers
are getting bad service and how many more are getting bad service but are afraid
to leave a negative feedback out of fear of getting retaliatory feedback.

Sometimes when I stumble across a store with a really bad reputation, like the
one above, I am surprised that they are still allowed to keep their selling status.

Just a rant.

I would back in the day, but stopped long ago. The example of this minifig's
value (especially as new) brings home the countless potential payoffs. By necessity,
we vendors budget what little time left to us beyond that of running the store.
Nonetheless, it was always deemed as time very well spent for me, staying appraised
of market values trends - Can be enjoyable too.

Back in the day, when you would take the time, besides just perusing the catalog
and price guides, how did you go about keeping up some of the market value trends
(I would be interested in knowing)?
