You mean sought after minifigures…(as an art lover I think almost no Lego item
is rare with the exception of very few items).

Nice selection of minifigs.
There is something you might consider to change, Vgc is something you mention
with used and new minifigs.
With new it looks like they may well have been used or slightly damaged.

So is Rock Raiders a space theme or not?

Let’s not go there.
If it is your goal to put them into the ‘space’ section I would be against it,
if RR goes in other may well be following too and cumulate inside an already
large categorie.
Split categories work better in my opinion, better than subcategories.
I already think the ‘space’ section should be smaller with more having their
own categorie.

Instead of posting, you should be happy 11€ not being a problem to you.

It might be one of your ‘funny’ moments but you are not 100% sure it is for him
as a seller.

Also he will loose time and some unnecessary money with this transaction.

Sometimes you need to know when not to response on forumpost, I think this is
one of them.
And if you feel the urge to respond you could also say something like ‘good for
you for the order cancel in this case’.

Did this alternate one come out of a genuine sealed LEGO box? Have you checked

I saw the same from the Lego battlepack, the pictures look different compared

I try to go to as many fleamarkets etc as possible and the fake Lego minifigs,
like these, are almost always packed in this way. Torso, legs and head connected,
arms and hands unassembled.
So to me this minifig is a fake.

Our Dutch Lego parcels are delivered by DPD but it is Lego that packs them in

The outer box has about 50% leftover space, is quite thinly cardboard etc.
So I can’t blame the shipper, it is Lego that is to blame.

Sorry to heard this, having exactly the same issues with my last 10 shipments
from TLG, all sets have either dents or are totally damaged.

Have reported this several times, seems quality of the packaging is no longer
one of their concerns, it needs to be green and cheap for them. As a compensation
I've 100 VIP points for all those shipments.

Same with me although they gave me some more.

My last parcel was completely destroyed as Adhesive tape used is a very cheap,
with water-based glue and recyclable paper and is 100% recyclable, so very "green".
But the challenge is that it doesn't hold the parcel properly.

I had an answer from Lego by email about 2 weeks ago with a different order,
they mentioned they are looking for a better way to pack the Lego and still have
less impact on the environment.

If this continues, I will only buy from BL or BO then.

I had to send a few of the most badly damaged sets back to Belgium where they
have a storage centre.
No problem at all with this but I did had to e-mail them with their request to
pack it in the best possible way to avoid damage.
You do understand I had the need to call them to ask them how they dare to ask
this to a customer.
And yes, I packed them carefully in bubblewrap like they should have done.
Due to the fact they have an uncommon postal service I had to make a small cardrive
to deliver it.

Obvious (to me) that your orders are being filled from a different warehouse
than the EU ones. If TLG is farming out the fulfillment, it may well be different
organizations handling it.

Here a picture of the way it was packed, I made a small video but that is too
large to e-mail to Lego and not possible to place here.

Out of the last 5 orders I made at Lego Shop@home all had damaged sets with dents,
large creases, partially squashed boxes etc. So in all 5 orders almost all boxes
where damaged. Before this year I had these damages in about 50% of the orders
but not all boxes inside the shipments were damaged. At this moment 100% is more
(mostly more) or less damaged. And yes, of course I contacted Lego and they let
me return shipments and reshipped replacement sets (that also were damaged) or
gave me some extra Insiderpoints.
Lego provides large outer boxes that are filled for less than 50% with sets without
any protection, the sets have too much space for movement. No large airbubbles,
brown paper or whatever.

And although I provide them with pictures, return shipments etc. I do get tired
of it, it gives me the feeling of loosing credibility although it is their mistake.
Their service is good most of the time but a good service starts with a good
product at the first place.

Today I send them a message ‘if I place a new order please remind me I shouldn’t
have done this’.
It really annoys me and is getting under my skin a bit.

No offense meant by the word Bricklinker.

On a small scale of this Ant Man there are that much differences that printingerrors

I was trying to put the micro statue of Ant Man from the new Marvel 2 Goliath
CMF series into my inventory.
When I checked the micro statue I noticed differences between this new Ant Man
and the one that was put into the inventory of Goliath.
So, I think, the Bricklinker that put this inventory into the system made a mistake.

The differences are mostly seen in the silvered print.
The new one, see my own picture, hasn’t got the silver print at the neck, the
silver print above the hips are square and do not have a smaller line, the silver
leg print is thinner than on the older one.

and sealed in original packaging (852947). I would like to list it for sale on
my site, however I am unsure of whether or not the minifigures are glued to the
magnet stands or not.

I have seen mixed answers online: thebrickblogger has a page detailing glued
and unglued sets saying these minifigures are not glued, and other online sources
say to check the packaging, which should say if they are glued together or not.
This packaging does not have a notification saying these figures are glued. However,
there are also pictures and websites showing these figures as glued down. I'd
hate to list this gear set incorrectly, but I'm also loathe to open the set
just to find out.

Does anyone know if this set's (852947) minifigures are glued to the magnet
base or not?

If I am right the package always says if it is glued or not, just check the backside
of the cardboard.
And, although Bricklink doesn’t mention it, most of the glued minifigs have parts
that are not glued like head, headgear.
Most of the time legs and torso are glued.

Did the usual searches on everywhere and can't find anything like it ...

I hope you will not do anything else other than keeping it or throw it away.
You call that face looks ‘a liitle bit worn’, it is in very bad shape, there

You don’t need a positive review, you only need to be 18+, that is a legal age
(here) to do business.

Even if your parents gave you permission you are not allowed to sell here.
If your parents would like to sell it is fine but they need to do the work like
communication, taking or making payments etc.
If, by any chance, things could go wrong and you as a 10 year old boy are pulling
the strings things can go wrong since you are not at an age of legal and binding
contracts. Maybe not a real problem for you but more for a potential buyer and/or
your parents.

what you describe sounds like extortion. you started off the conversation with
the seller by issuing him an ultimatum, thus threatening him by saying "you
either do this or i keep what i received & you have to refund".
his response seems fitting for how you describe your initial interaction with
him. try a different route.

check his return policy , but if paypal was the payment processor, 99% sure you
will have to pay to return the merchadise for a refund. check their policy as
well

You are way off base here. Extortion? Threats? Really?

If a seller sends you the wrong item and wants it returned, they absolutely pay
for the return shipping.

~Jen

it's a simple return to sender in the same package using same tracking #
or buyer pays to return what was received.
ask paypal.

presenting someone with an ultimatum is extotion. regardless of where it happens
or who is issuing the ultimatum.

simple example of Extortion - "do this or else this other thing happens"

I think you are totally wrong and that is me saying it in a kind way.
I see others mentioned why the seller is wrong and why you are wrong but you
are too persistent in your believe.
Why should a buyer pay return shipping for something they did not order.
Sellers mistakes, sellers loss (in form of payment and/or minifig).
As a seller I would let the buyer keep the wrongly send minifig (specially looking
at the value of the minifig and also the shippingcosts of the return) and send
the right one. If I would want this minifig returned to my place I would pay
for it.
It is al about simple and good customers service.
I would even be glad the buyer mentioned it so a seller could take the wrongly
send minfig out of his or hers inventory so a potential buyer cannot order this
while the seller already shipped it to someone else.

You can leave your Lego inventory to your godson, maybe make a sort of file of
it but as you mentioned he cannot take over your feedback.
He can take your storename with, maybe, a little bit of a change.
I wish you all the best!

Can he then continue the store if he sees fit?

I am aware that you can't sell your store and feedback, but this would just
be a continuation.

Hopefully it won't be for a while

Cheers

tegen elkaar wil uitspelen. Net zoals in mijn Bricklinkwinkel wordt er alleen
verstuurd in Nederland.

  Hi!
My store just opened recently and I have sets to add. Some are used and missing
pieces. I’m wondering if it’s better to buy them then sell as complete and used
or just sell as incomplete?

I’d appreciate any feedback from buyers or sellers.

Thanking you in advance,

Karen

It depends on whether they're using older period era pieces, if the bricks
are an older type a collector should have all of the same type of parts included
in the set. Because finding the same type of piece originally used can be difficult
and time consuming, you might be better off letting collectors decide if they
want an incomplete set, and collect the missing parts themselves.

Incomplete sets must be sold as such, please ensure that the listing is correct
before releasing it for sale in your store.

Cheers ...

ghyde

Thank you both for your feedback. The most current set I own is from 2007 but
that one is new, never opened. The others are older and I have list of what is
missing and planned to include those lists when I add them to my store. I will
be very upfront about what is missing and what the box looks like. I t probably
would be more difficult to track down the 1970-1990,s versions of the missing
pieces. Funny I have parts missing but a whole lot of extra parts with no set.
Kids!

You should also know that as a seller you may very well sell parts at a certain
point that you need a week later to complete a set.

Hi,

The part upside is not a LEGO part.
The part downside seems to be LEGO.

Be careful, even if the LEGO logo is not on every parts, if you don't see
it, it could be there

Even if there is no Lego logo at all it can be real.

Just check the Bricklink search system.
Choose: forum (instead of all items) and search for Super Battle Droids.
No more help is needed I think, it says it all.

Any help would be appreciated.

PayPal takes money from the scammer's balance, even if there's nothing

he said in 2-3 days, then he closed down the store and the store message says

There was also a negative review saying there was no refund and the seller ghosted.

He also had other suspiciously cheap items like 10 (sealed) (complete) 2022 AT-TEs
for $90 each which were like $140 retail maybe $120 on discount at best so this
makes no sense. Also a ton of complete 2023 501st battle packs for only $10 which
isn't possible, even on discount it's still $12, and $15 retail. I ask
him how the ATTEs are so cheap and that I want to buy some, no response, store
closed.

Should I file for a refund with PayPal before this guy gets away? Is there
a guarantee that PayPal can refund me if this is a scam or what if he closes
his bricklink account and closes PayPal and just disappears what am I supposed

I once purchased a 1970's action figure that was "sealed" and in
an acrylic case. it was for 30 dollars, and I knew it was too good to be true.
it was...... I got refunded though so no harm no foul.

So, think twice in saying this and think twice in making the step to buy something
when it is ‘too good to be true’.
If you knew (as you say yourself) it was too good to be true you are almost as
wrong as the scammer, you provide them with money as a reward and some extra
‘courage’ to go on with scamming.

I checked a few of your items. You are more expensive than some others in Austria.
For example, your 2 Star Wars 501st Clone Troopers are €9, 1 or 2 others from
Austria sell these for €3,75/3,80.
More than twice the price and you are a new seller, prices should be far lower.

Where can I find it is 5 days? I once read it before in this forum.
In the English and Dutch version at the Help center I read it still says 7 days.
In a recent NPB I started I couldn’t start it after 5 but still 7 days.

Being that we no longer wait for mail delivery of checks or money orders, 7-8

good and the seller sent a photo from the opened box with all the parts inside.
I'm just wondering that the parts are not packed up in a transparent plastic
bag - although the set is declared as new.

Does anybody know if lego uses plastic bags for the parts in 1976?

Of course, my question is a little bit strange, but maybe someone can help.

Best regards and thanks for every hint in advance

Steven

There are sets from older periods that had cardboard and plastic inserts that
hold a few or individual parts in a parts shaped or otherwise formed ‘cavity’.
They didn’t (always) had plastic (or nowadays paper) bags with parts.

If you show us the setnumber we might help you better but maybe you want to keep
others away from your potential buy…

Stickers are amongst the worst parts Lego uses.
They never stuck well enough for years, they dry out, corners and edges are getting
loose, they crack etc.
The bleach of your parts may well be caused by the adhesive of the stickers or
maybe by too much light (or not enough light or ‘normal’ conditions).

I am not a real builder anymore, I scarcely keep sets but when I collected Lego
I always hesitated to use stickers due to all mentioned above.

You have a lot of parts to replace, I hope you can find them with as much ease
as possible!

In his collection were lots of gems like these, prototype parts, parts with only
TF or FF in it, and some parts even with partnumber that were never released!

So I know for sure it is genuine Lego, I always wonder how the designers in those
days would go into the factory and try out new things 🤗

If you already knew this, why start a forumpost with ‘possible prototypes????’.

And, although I believe they can well be prototypes, if a 3D printer prints a
part from a real example with a injection mark, wouldn’t it print the injection
mark too?

This was 9 days ago and I've sent them several (6) messages via Bricklink

I can't see how this can be a scam seeing as I have the funds sitting in
my bank account, it's over $300, they've provided no phone number, and
for record keeping purposes I'm not messaging/emailing them outside of Bricklink.
Is this a case of small-time money laundering, or something else?

Thanks,

What information do you need more from the buyer, besides their bank account,
name and the amount, to make a banktransfer back?

This. But in general and for security reasons, when you receive a transfer you
don't get the originated bank account number.

We do see that bank accountnumberin the Netherlands.

All I need to do is to click on the payment and return the (partial when for
instance I charged an extra stamp) payment.
I can see their banknumber, name and the amount that was paid to me.
So in our case it is very easy to do.

List your products correctly!

This would mean all Lego that is taken out of a package like a box, bag, foil

So in these cases all parts, minifigs, stickersheets, baseplates etc. are used
in your opinion?

That is a strange way of thinking.

What you call used is just incomplete and if mentioned it is perfectly good.

I guess you only left them in your basket and done nothing else with them.

You probably should have bought the parts you needed in badges making ‘sub orders’
that would finally make a complete order.

When you put items in a basket they are not reserved for you until you checked
out.
If someone else has the same parts at the same time or at least before you checked
out the items will disappear from your basket.

So, next time, check out with part of the order you want to end with, make a
note for the seller to keep the order open for a while, add items to the new
basket in the same store, they will be added to the first part of the order and
cumulate until you are really finished making 1 order and it secures your basket.

  Hello brick connoisseurs,

I heard through the grapevine (aka youtube) that this website is the best for
anything related to Lego.

I am planning to list for sale a very rare set (was told a 100 made) on
here potentially and was wondering if this community can guide me on what of
sort of price I should list it at, let's say if you had in your possession.

Context:

Sky is a one of the largest telecommunications provider in the UK and was running
an advertising campaign in 2017 alongside the Lego Batman movie for its broadband
services (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SG9XFYU4oGM).
A friend of mine was working for them in a callcentre and was gifted the set
while working there a while back and decided to simply give it to me since they
had no longer any interest in it anymore.

I was not able to find any information about the set anywhere. Not listed here
nor on brickmaster.com.

Thank you in advance!

I have had the opportunity to work with a large company that did something similar.
They wanted to create a set of their Logo out of Lego bricks. A team at corporate
designed the set, sourced the bricks from Lego (my suggestion), sourced the instructions
and boxes from a different company and then handed them out to company associates
at a bi-yearly meeting. My husband received one of these sets at that meeting
and while it is made with Lego and has a box and instructions, I don't believe
it would be considered a Lego sanctioned set. As such, it would not be allowed
to be sold on Bricklink, my conjecture.

It is my opinion that the Telecommunications company SKY probably did something
similar.

Cass T

I found a Reddit post regarding this set:

https://www.reddit.com/r/lego/comments/jnwfey/i_won_this_limited_edition_only_100_made_at_work/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

And one of the comments suggests it was licensed.

If you mean the headline of the article ‘SKY BROADBAND TECH TEAM IN MINIFIGURE
FORM FOR THE BATMAN MOVIE’ I didn’t read it. Also not in the other text. I didn’t
saw the video.
It is just saying, and that is my opinion, they made a scene in minifig form
for the Batman Movie. This can mean you are right, it also can mean they made
something up for themselves with a connection of Sky Broadband and the Batman
Movie, in the latter case non licensed scene but real Lego.

And this article: https://minifigpriceguide.com/wordpress/sky-broadband-tech-team-in-minifigure-form-for-the-batman-movie/

with a comment from a person suggesting there is only 3 sets.

Would it be worth contacting Lego directly to enquire?

going to town to shops or to a cafe or walking in a park or to nature... Many
kinds of mostly daytime things. 🙂
Thanks if any replies...

Doesn't count, but I have family on the other side of the America (a BL seller
in Pittsburgh).

Realistically, as far as Germany and the Netherlands. Old friends and old men
who might buy me a beer and let me touch their Lego.

Ok, i have travelled both to Netherlands and to Germany, but i have not met there
people from internet .. Only one shop seller that sold comic related stuff like
Suske en Wiske in Netherlands. 🙂 I bought from his shop nice decorations to
that theme Suske en Wiske and a few comics many years ago. 🙂 I still love those
comics. 😁

You're welcome in Zwolle!
Or in Utrecht, where I work. There are 5 comic book stores in Utrecht...

And a Legoshop! A real one.

Ha, good one.
Although I am an eighties music lover it wasn’t the New Kids on the Block I was

Even if it is made from Lego parts in the Lego factory it is considered as a
non Lego minifig.

There are many trans minifigs, almost always Star Wars minifigs, in different
trans colors that are illegally made by Lego factory employees.
They made them unauthorized during working time or in spare time but fully illegal
to make extra money besides their work.
Therefore these trans minfigs cannot be sold on this website that deals in legal
Lego products.

If you want to sell this minifig than on other non official Lego site. There
are collectors for these ‘things’.

Not sure which way round it should be but I expect as photo 1.

There is 1 symbol I recognize: 925, so a high standard Sterling silver.

I am always a bot cautious regarding calling things rare.

In this case I have my doubts, not specially about ‘100 made’ but more in other
ways.
Looking at the white bricks of the van they are quite discolored and seems to
be of quite an earlier date than the minifigs.
Also the way they look to be side by side looks like older Lego too, the gap
between them is quite large. But, of course, I might be wrong in seeing the yellowed
white and it can occur in newer sunbathed Lego.

So I think someone designed it for this particular event, most likely a non Lego
designer, not someone with a vivid imagination, so no real Lego product in design.

I cannot say anything about desirability, that is up to the specific collectors.

I do not really understand this:
New. No scratches or bitemarks. Good condition.

That should be obvious, specially the bitemarks.
I seldom see them when I take minifigs from a sealed box.

So is it new or used but in very good condition?

* Change 1 Part Bright Pink {973pb4196c01 Torso Top with Dark Pink Butterflies, Heart Necklace and White Flowers without Back Print Pattern (BAM) / Yellow Arms / Yellow Hands to 973pb4175c01 Torso Top with Dark Pink Butterflies, Heart Necklace and White Flowers Pattern / Yellow Arms / Yellow Hands}

Comments from Submitter:
I have this figure from a LEGO store in front of me on my desk.
Also, the torso in the inventory does not match the torso shown in the minifigure image.

Of course I do not know what torso you had, if it was connected to the same parts
as the rest of the minifig but I always feared BAM minifigs would lead to something
like this. I think BAM minifigs have a large possibility of being mixed up.
Lego shops make their own BAM minifigs from parts.
I am almost certain from directions of Lego itself, at least that is what I believe
why they are similar in different countries.
But leftovers of these parts go into the large BAM, therefore I think there is
always a possibility of putting parts together that do not create a real minifig
as it was supposed to be.

I bought this piece on this website.

Tell the seller. Probably a stupid mistake, as even genuine ones are almost worthless.

If they're genuine the seller won't get into any trouble with BrickLink
if properly described when listing. LEGO products sold properly and correctly
on BrickLink will not land the seller in any trouble whatsoever and may generate
more orders from customers who find these pieces to their liking.

Cheers ...

No Lego in my opinion.
Less quality, more visible seam, thicker than the Lego version/too crude.

So today three fakes turned up.Seller hasn’t responded as yet but he may well
not even know,I’m trying to stay composed but I’m annoyed for sure.
Loose arm,one seems to have teeth🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️,the other two don’t.One has faded
red part on torso print, other two have a more vibrant colour. All three heads
have an open hole underneath with a triangular pattern, every other figure I already
own and checked don’t have this.

So….. who else has been faked and what’s Bricklink or Lego doing about it?

As for Chinese sellers,AVOID!

Ps i would post photos but as usual there’s an issue with that

Besides the condition that most likely is an issue and needs to be taken care
of there is this thing:
You need to educate yourself in buying, selling and collecting Lego.
Not all Lego is marked, sometimes not because of age, size (like older lightsaber
blades 4L), shape of parts etc.
Of course the ‘triangle head’ can’t have a mark but this triangle is used for
many years, it is that common that I am a bit surprised you never came across
one before. Fakes that I know always have a closed stud but without Lego marking
on them.
Older small parts might not have LEGO on them due to the fact a tiny LEGO mark
like on a bar 4L is something that is only possible for a relatively short time.
Putting a tiny LEGO mark inside a mould is an expensive and difficult thing to
do, I guess it is done by a laser or some sophisticated process, something they
couldn’t do years and years ago.

I recently had an issue with a seller (my first ever issue buying on Bricklink).

Immediately upon opening the bag I saw that these figs were incredibly beat up.
Like ever fig had scuffs, many were discolored, so I immediately reported some
of the issues.

His reaction was what I would call unprofessional and let me know that because
they were "Used" that its okay for them to be discolored and even have
cracked feet.

I eventually let him know that there were a handful figs that I just wouldn't
accept (one with severe discoloration, 2 with cracked feet, 1 wrong fig, 1 torso
damage, 1 head damage)

Even with these figs he gave me a hard time and wants me to cover return shipping.
I'm still feeling salty about this transaction as even the other figs (not
these 5) are all very beat up and really can barely be used and very likely not
sold.

I sell a lot on WhatNot and barely any of these would really be considered acceptable
there, so I would be surprised if they would here, especially with no condition
remarks.

Are cracked feet, damage like this and this level of discoloration acceptable
for "Used" figs with no additional comments, sold at average or above
average prices?

Also are sellers expected to wash their figures? A lot of figures were covered
in disgusting yellow grime. I'm unsure how much will come off, hopefully
all of it.

Unacceptable!
Those I would never sell, not as minifigs, not as parts.
Maybe the parts that are good but yours are in very bad shape.
I would want my money back and this would include shippingcosts.
So if the seller is not cooperative I would start a Paypal dispute.

A C-3PO for €14 (already taken 80% of…) while I can buy a very good one in the

I could travel to Australia (and maybe even back) for the amount of €’s I would

Even so, good luck in trying to sell your inventory (with the emphasis on trying

Never seen that before; how old is the torso/how does it look on the inside?

Hello Akir,

Here are some other pictures of the torso, I can't find any information about
this type of Lego part. The piece looks authentic LEGO

Check the pictures again and see the OP made pictures from both sides, check
the helmet for orientation.

That fig looks pretty warn. I would guess that someone just removed the arms
and put them back on the opposite side, turning it around.

A half pin fits on one end (with a bit of force) but the rim adds 2 LDU so there's
no seamless connection possible.

Thanks anyway

I checked it before my answer and I hoped it was small enough for your purpose.

So who’s right then? TLG? Or a super computer?

I think the inventor.
Not the one of the computer but the one that invented Lego.

Besides it is not allowed to buy and/or take over a shop since you need to make
the feedback yourself to prove others you are a good seller you also bought 10%
non positive feedback.
That isn’t a good score.
Also, did you buy the former owners inventory and can you be sure it is up to
(your) standards?
If you bought their inventory you need to check all parts of the sets for completeness,
condition, the same for loose parts, minifigs etc.

So besides not being allowed to take over a store it may well be a very bad idea
regarding inventory too.

So the very first one I picked up to pack is the Audi Sport Quattro and of course
as soon as I pick up the box I hear the rattle of the extra parts inside which
brought up a few immediate questions.

Set No: 76897 Name: 1985 Audi Sport quattro S1
*
76897-1 (Inv) 1985 Audi Sport quattro S1
246 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 2020
Sets: SPEED CHAMPIONS

1: Do buyers expect to have those parts included?

I don’t think they do.

2: If no, do they at least expect the auxiliary wheel inserts?

You mean the white wheelcovers I guess.
These they do expect since they are in the inventory itself, not in the extra
parts section.

3: Does the set need disassembled or is it advantageous to ship it built?

Disassembled in my opinion, that way you are sure that all parts are included
and your buyer can start building straight away when the set arrives.

Thanks for the response; makes sense. I didn't see the wheel covers on the
parts page though. I'll look again just to make sure (found the missing
one anyway).

I see sets sold completely built in stores hence the question. Most of the other
Ninjago, Raya and Frozen sets will definitely be shipped disassembled because
they're in a giant pile right now.

You are welcome!
For me disassembling a set means I can check the right amount of parts as well
the condition.
It also fits better in ziplockbags and the original box.

  Hi everybody,

I have an issue with a MISB order I recently placed (and received) and want to
return to the seller for a refund, but am not sure about how to proceed with
it if the seller refueses.

Upon inspecting the received set box, I noticed that the tape seals seem to have
been carefully unglued and resealed, there is MINIMAL tearing on the box (it
is actually visible if you closely inspect the box photo the seller sent me,
the photo is not from a good angle and lighting, but I paid no attention to it
then, I didn't want to be nitpicky about it - mind you, the set is from 2023.,
not a discontinued set).

I already have an identical set, also MISB, and I weighted both of them, the
difference is 2 grams - now, I suspect the seller might have opened the set and
took the minifigure out, but of course I cannot confirm it without opening the
set - and if I do, I doubt I can return it to sender for a refund since it would
no longer be considered MISB (and also, how do I prove that I'm not the one
who took out a part/minifigure).

How should I proceed if the seller refuses a return and refund?

Tape seals do occasionally come unstuck. More on older than newer sets, but it
can happen.

Why did you buy the set? If to use it, then open it and check it. If for investment
then tell the seller you want to return it if you have doubts about their honesty.

How accurate are your scales, as minifigures are more like 5g than 2g.

I bought it for investment, I do not intend to open it. It is a new set from
2023. so the tapes can't be an issue, it could only happen due to intentional
opening. The scale has a 1g accuracy.

1 gram accuracy says not much at all, it is calibration.
I had the same sets that had a weight difference of a few gram so, possibly,
2 grams isn’t that much but of course depending on the set.
I also have Beatles sets that came in 1 buy from Lego itself that have 2 overlapping
seals on all places a normal Beatles set has 1, other quite new sets I have like
a chess pirate set has seals that are loose or getting loose.

It is all about what you as a buyer wants, on the other hand you want it as an
investment but that is of no concern to the seller. If you want a mint set you
need to physically search for it yourself, it is hard to buy a set that is in
pristine condition.
Why, if it is a new 2023 set, don’t you buy it on the Lego website or shop or
in a toyshop?
That way you can check it better although Lego ships sets way less than most
BL sellers.

1) please delete your message since there is some unpleasant text in it.

2) due to the quality of the picture I would almost say: good luck with it.
Bad quality, too many badly visible parts.
If you as a member for several years can’t see what parts they are, how is is
possible for others.

But first take care of issue nr 1.

Apologize? The buyer?

I think the seller, even in this case, could have the time to close his shop
at e certain time.
It only takes a few seconds.
A few years ago I was hospitalized for a severe problem, in sickbed I took the
time to close my shop and e-mail the handfull of buyers to ask what they preferred,
cancelling the order or wait for an uncertain time.
Although the seller can be forgiven to not think about this immediately he could’ve
taken action and responded nicely to the OP with his fair and kind question.

  Hi all,
I kinda poked around in the forums looking for some help on this topic with no
luck; please forgive me if I missed the answers I'm looking for.

I have a fully built 75252 Star Destroyer that my son and I finished about 4mo
ago. I still have the boxes and instructions, just no bags they came in. I also
have a lovely Great Dane that seems to have a pension for nibbling on legos when
I'm out of the house! Grrrr....
So, I have lost a couple of the cannons/laser turrets, a sat dish, and a mini
fig to the Great Dane Destructor!

Only 1 minifig lost to the Great Dane…, almost worth it to check the outcoming
product of his Great behind.

The set just needs to go. I want to sell it, but with its sheer size, and missing
a small number of pieces (which I DO not know how many, but def under 25pcs),
I dont know how to go about listing it and packing it. I plan to sell it cheap
(300 bucks), but do I need to completely dissasemble it? Partly? Mostly?

I'd appreciate any thoughts and or advice on the subject!

Thanks a ton!

These ‘things’ are only helpfull if you have them in hands. It helps just a little
bit on picture.
If the camera/picture is slightly of in the warmth of colors, if there is a reflection
like on your black part it will not get well enough on a screen.
Also screens can be slightly different in showing colors, enlargements make differences
etc.

thanks for the help,
BouncingBudget5

On payment you pay Paypal fees directly on the order and shippingcosts, about
4% or thereabouts.

Bricklink takes 3% of the ordervalue but this is at the beginning of every month
and a total of all orders you received in the month prior to that.

It was a childish thing to do. You were very wrong.
Sellers as well as buyers sometimes need help to fulfill an order, it could be
an inventory issue, an order that got lost or damaged etc.

Since you seek help/information on this forum why wouldn’t you return help to
others?

But, I think, this is something you don’t want to share and that is a shame.
I like the Antique Roadshow or in Dutch Kunst en Kitsch stories of how much some

So, tell us you succes story and tell us what you paid for it.

I've been buying on BrickLink for years. I understand when Sellers run into
a problem. Last month, as usual, I paid immediately after placing an order.
Then, I waited weeks to receive an incomplete order. The seller never communicated,
admitted they knew they shorted me and only fixed the problem after I asked for
a fix.
I gave a rare negative review and the seller retaliated with a negative review
of me. Is there anything that can be done about this?

As others said you can’t do anything about it other than the feedback you left.

The only thing is to check feedback before buying, their feedback is, in my opinion,
poor to say the least.
And others that check your feedback, like I did, will see why you left this feedback
and for what kind of seller your feedback is meant. They will see you are not
the one that should be left with a negative feedback.

garage. It has been in a cupboard there for 40 years, and as seen in the photos
the box has a few scratches, worn edges, and also smells a bit musty!
I would be interested to get a steer on how much or what percentage this superficial
damage to the box affects the price of an otherwise 'new' lego set.

Nice find (I hope).

I I was the owner I would open the box.

As a potential buyer, not meaning me but someone that collects trains, I wouldn’t
‘trust’ this set.
There is a possibility that contents could be rusty, smelly, not working etc.
Years and years in a moist environment could be quite bad for these parts. Stickers
and instructions can be moisty or even covered by mold.

If the parts are still very nice you can sell these parts in ‘new’ condition
(if you want to be a seller here or at any other website). And they can be quite
valuable when looking at new parts from this set.

That is my advice, maybe others think differently.

mogelijk net zoals jezelf ooit hebt gerekend qua inkoop.

Succes,
Maxx

did not hear from them, assuming everything was ok, until they contacted me during
the holidays two weeks from the ship date. The customer asked me for the tracking
number. I looked up into the number, and it was indicated the package has been
delivered, and left at their front door/porch. I suspect it may have been stolen,
and they asked me to fill out a claim.

However, it is not my responsibility to fill out a claim on their behalf. The
customer should be responsible to fill out a claim. They used USPS’ Priority
Mail, and the packages are already insured for certain claims, up to $50. Their
order was less that amount. What are your advice/tips on resolving this issue?
Thanks!

You can try to file the claim with USPS but as another poster pointed out, the
package was delivered. Priority Mail insurance only covers for lost or damaged
packages , not delivered & stolen. I would try to work this out with the buyer
- maybe it was left at a neighbor's house by accident? Otherwise if the location
was not secure, then some of the responsibility falls on the buyer. In my store,
if the order is worth more than $99, I require signature confirmation to avoid
porch thieves . This might be something to think about for future orders. In
this case, I would offer some sort of refund for the order , work it out with
them and move on.

As in Canada in the Netherlands the seller/shipper needs to do the work to get
a refund or an investigation.
The seller is the one doing business with the postal service, not the buyer.

What idiotic system says a package is delivered when it is put on a porch!? I
know it is frequently done in, for instance, the USA but I wouldn’t call it delivered,
I would call it ‘left behind’. For grabs for others. In my opinion still a mistake
from USPS and therefore on account of their insurance.

The leaf that shouldn’t be in the catalog since it is a small piece of a part

The loose leaf is nothing but a damaged piece.
