Now
I don't know whether a seller has to register as a corporation to be considered
a "business".

That’s the usual problem: some like to hide behind “I’m not incorporated” / “I’m
not registered.”
So other criteria are used: buying to resell, number of transactions, gross income….
But all that is local / can only be verified locally.
So, for importations, the rule is simplified to: if it’s not a gift (below such
amount) then it’s business.

(Otherwise, if I were country X, I would say: all the businesses that export
aren’t considered businesses by country X, so they aren’t businesses for any
other country either!)

That being said, I don’t know how the package tax works….

Since January, the Germans have a new law. The "Platform Tax Transparency
Act". It obliges online sales platforms to report all sellers who have either
made more than 30 sales or earned more than 2,000 euros a year. The report is
made in January of the following year. So for the first time in 2024.

What is the number of the sets?

Any ideas?

These are exclusive sets for Blue Oceans Publishing's LEGO Star Wars magazines.
The sets should have a number on them, e.g. 912055, where 20 is the year of issue
and 55 is the number of the magazine.

In LANG Deutsch, TrevithickLego writes:
Was meint Ihr ?

PS: Ich weiß das ab dem Jahr 2019 die AGBs bei der Deutschen Post sich geändert
haben, also auch der Verssand.

It is a load of nonsense. No matter how badly you want the set, I don't
recommend you purchase from a seller who expresses such a cranky attitude in
their terms.

No, I didn't buy the set.

I´m using a business account of DHL, you´ve to ship around 200+ international
orders per year to be accepted.

All orders count, nationally and internationally.

In Buying, popsicle writes:
Was looking to buy as many as I could from any source/site, within a given price
range, a certain LEGO item...

This particular vendor had sold many (being myself, late to the game) with only
two remaining available to buy within the listing. So I bought the two remaining
and paid the shipping, thinking the price made the shipping cost of the two well
worth it. I then noticed the vendor loaded a further two to the listing with
a one dollar increase each, so I bought them. Again evaluating the costs as within
my range. After which, the vendor loaded another two with a further one dollar
increase in price, and again I bought those.

This pattern repeats itself up to today’s purchase...

Now, all five transactions fall within my targeted acquisition price, so I’m
good. That said, while USPS has made out like a bandit as I hope did the vendor,
if the seller only would have contacted me after the first or second buy and
stated their total inventory and desired price for said inventory, I surely would
have bought all in a single transaction. At the very least, dividing the USPS
and packaging costs between us, buyer and vendor.

Okay, I could have and indeed would have, made the move myself had the item not
been underpriced to begin with. You deal hunters know what I'm talking about

Just some fun and candid thoughts being shared

I would have asked him after the first time how many he had and what he wanted
for them.

IBAN payments on. Anyone know what I need to do???

Thanks in advance!

Where does the buyer come from? If he comes from the EU, it is not possible to
pay by IBAN. You need an online payment option so that BL can calculate and collect
the import tax.

Especially because it is not a 2 x 14 x 2 1/3 but a 3 x 14 x 2 1/3.

Since I'd like to get the original Lego brown box for suppliers, so I wish

Lego 60286 (Recycling Truck)
Lego 60335 (Train Station)

Welcome guess according to size of the box or your experience, if you don't

Yes im sure. The Box size of this set is 53.9 x 28.2 x 11.5 cm
In this size nearly 99% of the sets come in this amount.
Are you sure that 60335 contain 2? I am surprised. It isn't a big set.

By the way, do you have any idea about 60336 (the freight train) 1 or 2 in a

Ja, von diesem Set ist immer nur 1 in den braunen Umkartons.

Does anyone know anything about these sets? Are they pre-release prototypes?
I know that *all* watches from that era are a bit obscure, but I'd love to

Ryan

Have you tried looking through Brickshelf? I found another watch (4376) from
2000 that hasn't been added here. https://brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=582581

Looks like it could have some potential candidates for 168 Gun Metallic.

Nice find!! It looks like an early version of this set:

[g=4372]

I haven't found either X-10 or Y-10 yet, but their bezels are aluminum, not
plastic — and not listed as 168

I would say, Set 4370 never exist. It's Set 4376. I never found X-10 with
another Setnumber.

Do you have the watch? Could you put in the change request?

Yes, I own this watch. But I don't make any new entries or changes here anymore.
You can do it yourself. On Brickshelf you can find the corresponding data.

I wonder where Lugnet got their set numbers...

I don't know who made the entry on Lugnet, but comments are ignored there
too. From the errors you can see how all, Bricklink, Lugnet, Peeron and Brickset
copy or have copied from each other without doing their own research.

There are 446 watches listed here on Bricklink. I have found 770 different watches
so far. Where as a collector I consider each order number or box variant as a
separate watch. If I eliminate that, there are still more than 520. How many
watches have you catalogued so far?

[g=4367]

Does anyone know anything about these sets? Are they pre-release prototypes?
I know that *all* watches from that era are a bit obscure, but I'd love to
know more about these.

Ryan

The EAN code of these 3 watches is the EAN code of 4370 "Grinder".

these be aprroved anytime soon?

We are swamped with work for all of the new sets right now. We will get to those
minifigures when we get a chance. Thanks for your patience.

Cheers,
Randy

Sadly the excessive wait, makes me not want to contribute to the catalog ever
again. I know there is a lot of new sets being added but 6+ months for some figures
to be approved seems outrageous.

As recently as two months ago, we had a backlog of items going all the way back
to February of last year. We are now caught up to November of last year, and
we are trying very hard to get to the rest. If you had submitted the items six
plus months ago, they would be in the catalog by now, so the truth is that you
submitted them earlier than six plus months ago. When I look at the pending items,
you submitted them on November 30, 2022, so they should be one of the next things
that we get to in our process of catching up. By the way, November 30 is about
three and a half months ago.

Cheers,
Randy

A useful starting point for speeding things up and saving a lot of time would
be to import directly the images of new parts from LEGO database. Why reinvent
the wheel and take fresh pictures of everything?

It's pretty easy to tell who hasn't done an inventory or contributed
before.

Indeed. Now, I just need to find that magic: Add-Qualified-Admin-Now! button.

Yes, you are right. The 6750 set was launched in October 1986.

The Set 880 was classified by TLC as a service pack. That is why it is mentioned
in the collectors guide in the "Service Packs" on page 890 with set number
and year of release.

In Catalog, anathema writes:
Ah, that's interesting I know there are at least two other errors in
the guide (*), so I'm taking the '2000' date with a pinch of salt.

(*) Set 880 is missing entirely, and it gives a release date of 1987 for set
6750; in fact, this one turned up in 1986.

In Catalog, Dino writes:

Set No: 2556 Name: Ferrari Formula 1 Racing Car
*
2556-1 (Inv) Ferrari Formula 1 Racing Car
580 Parts, 1998
Sets: Model Team

The catalog states this to have been released in 1997. Most - but not all -
other reference sites have this date; some claim 1998.

The copyright date on the box and the instructions is 1998.

The Collector's Guide

Book No: 810005 Name: Collector's Guide 2nd Edition with Exclusive Key Chain
*
810005 (Inv) Collector's Guide 2nd Edition with Exclusive Key Chain
Books: Informational Book
states it came out in 2000.

Does anyone know which (if any!) of these dates is correct?

I would say 1997 is wrong. If it says 1998 on both, the box and the instructions,
then it is 1998. Unfortunately, I can't verify it because I don't have
either at hand.
The year 2000 mentioned in the collecors guide is a result of the information
from TLC itself.
Both, 1998 and 2000, can be correct. From 1998, this set was available exclusively
from Shell and/or Ferrari as a promotional or sales set, and from 2000, LEGO
sold the remaining stock. However, this set does not appear anywhere in the dealer
catalogs from that time.
Perhaps someone knows more about it. I did buy my sets on Ebay until 2003.

As long as you don't set the order to "Packed", the buyer can add
more parts/set.

not find it also anywhere in online stores. Usually, there are old pages with
sold out stock status, but not for this one.

So, has anyone seen it?

This set was only for the Korean market and was sold there by S@H from about
May 2020 to May 2021.

to change delivery address in the form, but there I cannot change country. Instead,
I have to mess in the profile menu to change the default address to my relative's
address. (And after the delivery, back to my address). Or another way to do is
to inform the seller to send the Lego items to another address which differs
from what is in the order form. If the seller accidentally omits that information,
(s)he ships that package to me, which I don't want in that case as mentioned
before. And this situation is a nuisanse for both the buyer and seller, and may
lead to unnecessary bad ratings. Please, change this feature.

I voted "yes" because this would actually be easy to do (also tax-wise).
However, there is still the hurdle "Paypal". Each seller is required
to send to the address that is registered with Paypal.

It's not that simple anymore. BL will charge Florida sales tax, which may
then have to be paid again upon entry. In addition, the seller may have to charge
VAT since the goods are not going to the USA but, according to the shipping address,
remain within the EU.

Give the seller a reasonable period of time until the money must be refunded.

It is not the limits of BL that are authoritative, but the legal provisions.
If changes are apparently necessary, why not go in the right direction?
By the way, my proposal is just as within the limits of BL as any other change.

Any solutions within the limitations of the current system?

The potential buyer "asks" for the total cost. The items are reserved for the
buyer. The seller makes an offer. The buyer now has 3 days to reject or accept

for sale again. In this case, however, there is also no feedback from both sides.

I'm sorry the seller wouldn't let you cancel. I think it is a kindness
for new buyers to agree to this in these kind of circumstances. In the seller's
defense, if they agree to cancel, they have to rely entirely on your goodwill
not to leave negative feedback.

There is one workaround, but I don't know how practical it is. Buyer leaves
feedback for the seller. After 30 days the buyer's feedback is locked in
and cannot be changed. Seller can then cancel the order without worrying about
a neg.

And then, the buyer get a negativ feedback?
