Hi
Right!
Instructions this brick is used on step 8 when building the house.
On which websites did you find this info?
The inventory on Peeron doesn't have it.

| Hello everybody,
Based on more than a year of excellent work, we have just promoted BrickLink
member TakeAbricK (Diana) to the Catalog Associate position:
https://www.bricklink.com/v3/member/community_experts.page
The Catalog Associate position is equivalent to the old Catalog Administrator
position with privileges on the catalog side only. After a year of activity in
the new area, Diana will be eligible for promotion to the new Catalog Administrator
position with privileges on both sides.
Diana was the first Inventories Administrator who exclusively used the new Inventory
Comparison Tool for inventory approval work:
https://www.bricklink.com/r3/inventorycomparison/main.page?sourceB=1&invB=60001&sourceA=0&invA=60001-1
She has also done considerable work in improving the Help Pages for those contributing
inventories to the BrickLink catalog. For example, this page explaining the Inventory
Comparison Tool was just completed recently:
https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2594
This page also happens to contain the first-ever BrickLink-hosted color chart
comparing BrickLink color names with official LEGO color names.
We trust Diana will continue with the enthusiasm and dedication she has shown
over the past year. Please join me in welcoming her to this new position!

Hi
This is correct.

I got an extra of this in both packets I opened of her, hence why I added it
as an extra. I guess some packets didn't get one though. Maybe a note is
needed to say that you may or may not receive an extra of the part.
That's up to an admin though.

Hi
I confirm, no extra in the few part out I did.

The definition of an extra is that you may or may not receive it. We are not
going to add that note to every set in the BrickLink database.

Hello
Same text as 306 inv change req., other pictures: found on an eBay auction a
few weeks ago.
Last year I bought a pack of 5 baseplates set 306 (MISB).
All with the original cellophane.
https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=306-1#T=I
And all 5 tied together again.
These apparently came by 5 at the toy store? Other than this I have no information
on this. The original cellophane feels like that period. My seller's photos
show many of these 5-packs.
After some research I found that the packaging = the cardboard (original box)
was the 1st version, box number 190120 of ©1979.
But there is always this baseplate = 6099pb01 (not on BL in set 306, thought
it was never in an inventory and changed)
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=6099pb01&in=S
Was this baseplate also released in 1979 (only in set 928-1 and 497-1 as alternate)?
(I can't immediately find a photo with this baseplate in a set, except for
this 306 in my possession.)
I don't think so, this is a later version = from 1980. I did a lot of research
over the last few years on the 80's baseplates (in general, not just the
Spacebaseplate that this is about).
I found 4 different types of marking on the back: combination of different factors
• ©1978 LEGO A/S INTERLEGO AG (from 1978 the 1st appear in the Legoland sets)
• ©LEGO A/S INTERLEGO AG (my research shows these appeared from 1980)
• ©LEGO Group (my research shows this came out in 1990)
• ©LEGO Group with the baseplate part number (I believe from 1991)
If this 6099pb01 only appeared in 1980, it is certainly possible that it ended
up in the 306 set.
In 1980 the 'Cross Road' baseplate (set 6304) appeared + update packaging
set 300, 301 and 302 + some sets came out with different baseplates. The US versions
also came with an updated packaging (including sets 551, 552 and 553).
But for these Spacebaseplate sets, the packaging = cardboard (original box) remained
unchanged until 1983, when the sets received another box update, partly due to
the emergence of the barcode.
Perhaps the reason for not updating was a box that was still in stock or less
sales, so that it was not allowed or impossible to update the packaging? The
454 set did get an update I think (see photo at 454 inv change)
I found so far 3 different packs for our region and 4 different packs for the
US market (set 454), as follows:
• 306 * 1979 – 190120
• 306 * 1983 – 190121
• 306 * 1983-1990 – 190128 (with white border, no half flap)
• 454 * 1979 – 190xxx (with 'Space System' imprint outside the 'Legoland'
banner
• 454 * 1979 – 190xxx (with 'Space System' imprint inside the 'Legoland'
banner
• 454 * 1983 – 190741 (with white border, with flap)
• 454 * 19xx-???? – 190xxx (with white border, no flap)
Decision:
Set 306 and 454 also came with baseplate version 6099pb01.
• All 6099pb01 baseplates I own have the back marking "©LEGO A/S INTERLEGO
AG" (and there are quite a few). Which corresponds to the period starting
from 1980.
• For the purchased pack of 5, I took the plunge and carefully removed the set
in the middle from the 5-pack. Of course some damage, but here also the same
back marking '©LEGO A/S INTERLEGO AG'.
• This baseplate was released in 1980 (until 1982) as an update by not extending
the yellow line. From 1983 there was another update. (this came out in new sets
that year + update packaging set 306 + 454)
Anyone who has the box codes of the missing cardboards/original boxes? 306-454
