I paid for an item using instant check out 4 business days ago, I've had
no contact from the seller and no change in the order status since, how long
should I leave it before contacting the seller to get an update on the order

it is never a problem to ask the seller after 4 days:

CHATGPT: "Hi, I was wondering if you could provide me with an update on
the status of my order? I would greatly appreciate any information you can provide.
Thank you."

but be more patient: with status and shipments.
look in the terms if you can find a clue for shipment times

  Hi everybody,

I have an issue with a MISB order I recently placed (and received) and want to
return to the seller for a refund, but am not sure about how to proceed with
it if the seller refueses.

Upon inspecting the received set box, I noticed that the tape seals seem to have
been carefully unglued and resealed, there is MINIMAL tearing on the box (it
is actually visible if you closely inspect the box photo the seller sent me,
the photo is not from a good angle and lighting, but I paid no attention to it
then, I didn't want to be nitpicky about it - mind you, the set is from 2023.,
not a discontinued set).

I already have an identical set, also MISB, and I weighted both of them, the
difference is 2 grams - now, I suspect the seller might have opened the set and
took the minifigure out, but of course I cannot confirm it without opening the
set - and if I do, I doubt I can return it to sender for a refund since it would
no longer be considered MISB (and also, how do I prove that I'm not the one
who took out a part/minifigure).

How should I proceed if the seller refuses a return and refund?

I know this is a serious accusation (and also maybe even a fake accusation on
my side!) which I cannot prove or disprove without opening the set, that's
why I'd rather return the set to the seller - if I open it and discover that
indeed something is missing, how do I prove that I'm not the one who opened
it up and took a piece and also if I do return it to the seller the set lost
some value if it's not MISB anymore; I use a kitchen scale with 1g accuracy

Maybe I'm just too paranoid about the whole situation.

It is one of those sets you cannot buy from a LEGO store separately but you get
it as a gift after spending a certain amount of money, that's why I ordered
it from a BL shop.

I'll see what can be done with the seller, for now they are refusing a return+refund,
although their shop said nothing about not accepting refunds while ordering.
They have all positive reviews, one neutral, and not a single negative review,
I wouldn't like to ruin their praise.

It could be both.

Maybe, just open the set and build it.
That way you know if the set is complete (or not)
If something is missing so be it. Tell the seller and be happy what you get.
Reading your story it is not a big deal while it is a GWP from 2023.

This is what i would do.

I've looked at that part too but it has no technic connections. As I understand

Sadly there are no specific order numbers, so it took me a while to get all my
parts together. But after searching a whole morning, I'm still short of 2
part numbers.
I anyone out there who can tell me what part numbers I need based on the uploaded

Thanks in advance for your help

  RANT

in hun shop voorwaarden.

**** Please, I do not appreciate responses by people from other countries who
use Google translate to read my message. Thanks.

Hartelijke groet en alvast fijne kerstdagen gewenst!
Martin

Ha Martin en anderen,

Mee eens.

Groet,
Nico

  Dear BrickLink,

What a great website! So much LEGO all in one place. I've begun to add my
current sets to my inventory. But, I've noticed that if I make a mistake,
and accidentally add sets or parts as "New" when they are actually "Used" there
is no way for me to modify that inventory. I have to delete the old inventory
item(s) and add new ones.

But, since your site reminds me every time I part out a set, there is no way
to bulk delete items from a particular set. It would be tremendously helpful
if we could modify our inventory, piece by piece or set by set, so that we could
change the status of a set/piece as "New" or "Used."

I hope this is something you can deliver for us.

Again, great site! It is my go-to spot for anything LEGO!

Enjoy building! Thanks!

Maybe try This:
Part out the same Set with the count -1 and the same (wrong) state (new) as
before then you get your original inventory. Then you can part out the set again
with the state used.

Or perhaps deleting neutral/negative feedback on an annual basis. Maybe I for

Approach 1 for me.

In Catalog, StormChaser writes:
After considering the entirety of the Wheels category, I think three approaches
are reasonable (skip toward the end for the short version):

__________________________________

Approach 1:
__________________________________

Title Section 1: The word "Wheel."

Title Section 2: Theme, use, or both. See below.

Title Section 3: Actual, measured size of the wheel hub in the format
"10mm D. x 10mm."

Title Section 4: Any other information deemed necessary.

Sections are not separated by punctuation. For Title Section 2, the theme generally
takes precedence. Theme can be followed by use, as in "Wheel Town Motorcycle."
Although there are no firm rules for selecting the contents of this title section,
the preferred length is no more than two words. Themes should be loosely interpreted
into only a few basic categories (Fabuland, Space, Town, Technic, etc.) to reduce
the total number of themes and avoid more groupings than necessary.

Here are the pros and cons of each approach, followed by examples already in
use.

For Approach 1 the pros are standardization and grouping of similar items (like
Technic or wagon wheels). The con is that 82 of the 212 wheels already use the
second approach.

Part No: 33212 Name: Wheel Wagon 56mm
*
33212 Wheel Wagon 56mm
Parts: Wheel

For Approach 2, the pro is a very straightforward system, where every single
wheel is ranked by actual size. The con is that groupings of similar items will
be lost in the places where such groupings currently exist.

Part No: 50862 Name: Wheel 15mm D. x 6mm City Motorcycle
*
50862 Wheel 15mm D. x 6mm City Motorcycle
Parts: Wheel

For Approach 3, the pro is that all unnecessary information is moved to a tagging
system. The cons are that titles will be visually lacking and the tag system
may not be robust enough to support sucking most of the information out of titles.

Part No: 56904 Name: Wheel 30mm D. x 14mm
*
56904 Wheel 30mm D. x 14mm
Parts: Wheel

My preference is Approach 1. I think it makes the most sense given the current
system, even after tags come along.

I will say, based on extensive experience, that BL is highly unlikely to change
much in the Wheel category, at least not in any kind of timely manner (meaning
within the next five years). But I have the wheels and my wish is that everyone
could benefit from this collection. So I'll make a one-time submission of
the data and change requests.

The only question is this: which approach would members prefer I use to submit
the data? Thoughts or input?
