Or you're set to automatically login to your Lego account when you visit
their site?

That last one seems to be the answer, at least for me. I tried the link from
the email in two different browsers. The one that I normally use for Lego automatically
logged me in to my Lego account. The other one asked me for username and password.

  Hoi,

Mijn dank is groot.
Groetjes Jeroen.

Je kunt voor IBAN geen automatische betaling instellen maar alleen een automatische
invoice. De koper zal dan bij het plaatsen van de order direct de invoice ontvangen
maar moet wel zelf handmatig overmaken naar jouw rekening.

At the time this rule was written there were no examples like the one we are

10000-1 (Inv) Guarded Inn
233 Parts, 4 Minifigures, 2001
Sets: Castle: Lion Knights: Legends

Also nearly identical part count

Yes, and build too.  But it’s still a re-release, not a box difference or North
America / Europe difference.

The question is where do you put the limit?

I mean, there’s (not exhaustive list):
— different production runs = one catalogue entry,
— different numbers but exact same inventory (North America vs Europe) = two
entries with the link,
— different numbers, slightly different inventories (493-1, 493-3) = two entries,
link,
— different numbers and slightly updated inventory (10000 & 6067) = two entries,
link,
— different numbers, updated build (40370 & 7810) = two entries, link or no link?

If you don’t consider the stand/base for 40370, it’s just old parts that don’t
exist any more that have been replaced with modern parts.  And that fits the
link’s definition and usage.

Would these two be considered similar sets for the purpose of this relationship
category?

Please make changes to the following inventory:

Set No: 6679 Name: Dark Shark
*
6679-1 (Inv) Dark Shark
71 Parts, 2 Minifigures, 1991
Sets: Town: Classic Town: Harbor

* Add 1 Part 2447 Black Minifigure, Visor Standard (Extra)
* Add 1 Part 4592c02 Black Antenna Small Base with Black Lever (4592 / 4593) (Extra)
* Add 1 Part 4073 Black Plate, Round 1 x 1 (Extra)
* Change 1 Part Black {2412b Tile, Modified 1 x 2 Grille with Bottom Groove / Lip to 2412a Tile, Modified 1 x 2 Grille without Bottom Groove / Lip}
* Change 2 Part Red {4085 Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with Clip Vertical (Undetermined Type) to 4085c Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with U Clip Thick (Vertical Grip)}

Comments from Submitter:
Source: sealed set. The black 2412b may have been included as an alternate but the current source of the inventory is unknown so it would require evidence to get it added back to this inventory. My set had 2412a in black but I did get 2412b in light gray in my set so that variant is correct in the inventory.

  Hi,

I bought and completed 8460. It was missing every part of the ”thing” on instructions
page 16: the yellow/black technics bricks that build the wide skeleton thing
on top (7 parts).

What is it (there are two of them)? It doesn’t seem to become used.

It is temporarily used to keep the steering in place while you build the next
step. It is then removed and the parts are used elsewhere in the build.

Kost €1 extra
binnen Europa en €2 extra buiten Europa. En ook pakje verzekerd is volgens mij
een nieuw product.

Searching for the term b connector on Brickset gives several Duplo parts. On
Bricklink this connector appears to be called locking ring. Searching for Duplo
locking ring on Bricklink will show you those parts.

If you look just above, there’s a real 1x1 round brick in LBG and it’s a bit
thicker and shorter.

You're right. And even if it was attached to a 1x1 round brick, there is
no way the front of the spear gun could stick out that far from it if the bottom
of the round brick has to be attached to something else.

Set No: 375 Name: Castle

375-2 (Inv) Castle
706 Parts, 14 Minifigures, 1978
Sets: Castle: Classic Castle

* Add 2 Part 3840pb04 Light Gray Minifigure Vest with Shield with White Maltese Cross on Red Background Pattern (Stickers) - Sets 375-2 / 6075-2 (Counterpart)
* Add 2 Part 3840pb05 Light Gray Minifigure Vest with Shield with Yellow and Green Stripes Pattern (Stickers) - Sets 375-2 / 6075-2 (Counterpart)
* Add 8 Part 3840pb02 Light Gray Minifigure Vest with Crown on Purple Background Pattern (Stickers) - Sets 375 / 6075 (Counterpart)
* Add 2 Part 3840pb06 Light Gray Minifigure Vest with 8 Yellow Trefoils on Blue Background Pattern (Stickers) - Sets 375 / 6075 (Counterpart)

Comments from Submitter:
Those parts were quite obviously missing from the counterpart section. As the set 375 and 6075 are two of the most iconic lego castles... this should probably be corrected.
I didn't figure out the possible Inv Item ID

These are already in the inventory as counterpart, since they are in the inventory
of the (counterpart) minifigures.

Diana

Hi Diana,
Thank you for the quick reply. Then I don't really understand why they don't
show as counterparts in the set? Even if I use "Break minifigure" they won't
appear? Do I get something wrong?

Best wishes
Barthon

Looks like that option only breaks minifigures that are in the regular section
and not minifigures that are in the counterpart section of the inventory.

I have a question about adding weight to the catalog.
I have a set of which the weight isn't supplied (set 1361).
At 'add or change item' the weight for set, instructions and box can
be specified separately. Is the weight of the set including instructions
and box (so, the complete set) or only the parts?
If the set is sealed, it is difficult to split this apart (not the case with
me)...
Thanks for the help!

Set weight is the total weight of the set including parts, box and instructions.
So if you have a sealed set you can just weigh it and submit that weight.

Comments from Submitter:
15210 is listed in the official inventory. The older versions, 30258pb036 and pb037, are listed in the counterpart section. I do not know if both versions of the road sign were in this set or if the 30258 sticker parts were mistakenly added as it's not listed in the inventory or as a counterpart. If both versions exist, then would they be listed as alternate counterparts?

Just checked mine (bought in 2014): 15210*.
It seems I actually haven’t any 30258* even though I have BL orders with some…
*sigh* I need to change my inventory….
When was the split done in the catalogue?

15210 was added to the catalog in August 2015.

You can use either your own photos or official Lego images for catalog submissions.
I am not a very good photographer so I prefer to use Lego's renders when
they are available.

Hi! I'm finally clearing out my "to identify" bin of parts. I first searched
for these a year-plus ago when I was initially listing parts, and I just tried
all of them again (and found over half of them, though I have about a dozen stickered
parts to add to the catalog now). All of these have been searched for using the
parts they're attached to, so it's likely that the stickers are on incorrect
parts or they're not in the catalog yet.

Thank you very much for any and all help you can offer! If any of the parts aren't
in the catalog yet, please point me to the correct set and I'll be happy
to add them. Here's an Imgur link in case the higher quality helps: https://imgur.com/a/mTBFcD7

A few notes:

#6 stickers are rectangular and transparent, and I'm pretty sure I've
seen them before, but they didn't come up in a general search for "Imperial
logo" or "Republic logo"

I believe #12 says "HEARTSTART" with a logo instead of the "H"

#14 is a 1x4 panel

#17 says T- 00:03 RLS 98%

#19 to #22 are prints, possibly custom prints?

Again, I know I've seen the #25 stickers, but not sure where and they didn't
come up in a search for those logos

-Jordy (Brickitty)

Number 7 has the sticker broken in two halves and a bit too far to the left.
The top brick needs to be moved three studs to the right.

to our store. I replied in message within a few hours with the shipping estimate

wanted. This morning I came on to finalize the quote so they could pay, and it
says cancelled. Then I had an order from a different person for the same set.

When a quote is sent, does it remove the set from the store temporarily? Because
they customer cancelled the quote, does that end that transaction and I sell
it to the new customer? Any guidance that can be offered will be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,
Sarah

A quote does not reserve items for a buyer. And the quote will be automatically
cancelled if someone else buys items from the quote and you no longer have enough
inventory left to fulfil the quote.

What am I doing wrong?

Did you set minimum buy on the store management page https://www.bricklink.com/v2/mystore/management.page
? Or only in the shipping methods? If you only set minimum buys in your shipping
methods buyers can still place orders under the minimum. You'll have to also
set the minimum buy on the store management page or alternatively disable 'backup
for instant checkout' on that same page. That last option will allow buyers
to request invoice if their order cannot be placed with instant checkout.

Thanks for your help in advance.

The instructions list 9 sealed numbered bags:
https://www.lego.com/en-us/service/buildinginstructions/60330

1, 2, and 3 for the vehicles
4-9 for the hospital

Some sets have large parts in a separate unnumbered bag or loose in the box.
Not sure if that was the case with this set.

Should they be replaced with something? The tires are shown in the set image.

But this won't be accepted because part variants in Lego's inventory
data are not reliable so the correct part variant in this inventory will have
to be confirmed from sealed set contents.

Sacrilège !

It seems conical but not symmetrical.  And it’s also not truncated like the lipstick.
I’d say it’s not a LEGO part at all.
Or if it’s from a LEGO factory, it’s a sprue.

Wrong shape for a sprue, plus the chances of getting 4 of them all identical.
Is it a physical MOC or a render?

I'd say 53451, but you'd have to cut off the bottom to make it fit with
the axle in the other end of the cone.

There should be three 3069bp01 inside each 4345a making the total 6.

I checked my own set and there are indeed 6. Set was originally bought new sealed
and never mixed with parts from other sets.

I suspect that both the middle and the left prints are under 95514. The earliest
mini doll images with this head show a lighter color. It’s name was also changed
from ‘Light Brown’ which is not a definitive color descriptor here.

Jen

Looking at images on Brickset for 95514 and its alternate item numbers suggests
that you are correct. 95514 and 11815 have identical images but 38062 has noticeably
darker eyes.

Lol, thanks for the help! I wish it would have been cataloged with a different
title! Oh well, glad it isn't a misprint, saves a lot of time!

What were you searching for? There are only 50 or so torso assemblies in black
that have the term zipper*.

My guess: “police”… too bad it’s for a biker

Minifig No: bikerb Name: Biker Bob
*
bikerb (Inv) Biker Bob
Minifigures: Town: Classic Town

Maybe he’s an undercover cop

Does the similar torso with a star even come up on a search for "police"? I can
remember having a heck of a time finding one a year or so ago

Of course it does, “police” is in its description:

Part No: 973pb0027 Name: Torso Jacket with White Zipper, Yellow Police Star on Blue Badge, and Space Port Logo, ID Badge Pattern
*
973pb0027 Torso Jacket with White Zipper, Yellow Police Star on Blue Badge, and Space Port Logo, ID Badge Pattern
Parts: Minifigure, Torso

It also has “star.”

(If it’s this one.  Otherwise, there’s this older one:

Part No: 973pb0079 Name: Torso Police Leather Jacket with Thin White Zippers and Badge Pattern
*
973pb0079 Torso Police Leather Jacket with Thin White Zippers and Badge Pattern
Parts: Minifigure, Torso
but it has “badge,” not “star.”
Other-otherwise, I don’t know which one OP referred to.)

That’s why I said OP must have used “police” to find Biker Bob’s torso and couldn’t
find it.
Biker Bok ain’t no cop!

There is also

Part No: 973px9 Name: Torso Police Leather Jacket with Thick White Zippers and Badge with Yellow Star Pattern
*
973px9 Torso Police Leather Jacket with Thick White Zippers and Badge with Yellow Star Pattern
Parts: Minifigure, Torso

Pu a * after the number when you search for a printed part like this. Then you'll

20+ parts and it turns out only 1 or 2 haven't been submitted. Good luck

Maybe I am misunderstanding you, but when you submit a part with a number already
in use, you get a ready banner saying that item is pending. It does NOT mean
that the exact item you are submitting is pending, only that the number is already
in use. All you have to do is increase the sequential number until your submission
goes through.

Jen

The post was not about adding new stickered counterparts to the catalog. It was
about stickered counterparts that are already in the catalog but have not yet
been added to inventories. Either because the change request is still pending
or because one had not yet been submitted.

shows what looks like black hair, but the inventory lists the hair piece in dark
brown. Looking at the pictures of the two sets this figure appears in, it looks
like the black hair variant appears in

Set No: 41055 Name: Cinderella's Romantic Castle

41055-1 (Inv) Cinderella's Romantic Castle
638 Parts, 2 Minifigures, 2014
Sets: Disney: Disney Princess: Cinderella

10729-1 (Inv) Cinderella's Carriage
108 Parts, 2 Minifigures, 2016
Sets: Juniors: Disney: Disney Princess: Cinderella
assuming the pictures are correct.

Does anyone have these sets to confirm there are two different hair color variants?

Steve

According to Lego's inventory data both sets are supposed to have dark brown
hair. I think it just looks more like black in the images because of the lighting
of those photos.

In Suggestions, gunga writes:
One of things I like to do from time to time is to assign those decorated parts
that have been added to the catalog but not added as counterparts to their appropriate
set.
For example:

Part No: 6178pb037 Name: Tile, Modified 6 x 12 with Studs on Edges with Star Wars Logo and 'R2-D2' Pattern (Sticker) - Set 75308
*
6178pb037 Tile, Modified 6 x 12 with Studs on Edges with Star Wars Logo and 'R2-D2' Pattern (Sticker) - Set 75308
Parts: Tile, Modified, Decorated {Black}
It was added Dec 8,2021 but it is currently not listed in 75308's inventory.
So an Inventory Change request would need to be made to list it as a counterpart
(I have since submitted the request). Now this is the easiest example as that
is the ONLY stickered piece in the set. Some sets have dozens that need to be
added. I have submitted requests for such sets only to find out someone else
had beaten me to it. Incredibly frustrating as the time I used, which can be
significant, turned out to be wasted. And you don't find out until the very
last step - at submission. And it doesn't flag all the pieces - only the
first one it finds in the list that had been already submitted. So you can have
20+ parts and it turns out only 1 or 2 haven't been submitted. Good luck
finding out which ones quickly.

What I would suggest is something similar to when someone has reserved a set
to inventory. You immediately know if a set has been reserved as it states on
its catalog page under 'Item Consists Of', 'Inventory in Progress'
or something similar. So is there a way to tag or reserve those parts that have
been submitted waiting for approval to their appropriate sets so that when you
go to its catalog page you can see a message like 'Pending Approval'
under 'Item Appears In'?

I know adding stickered counterparts is way down on the list for catalog priorities
so adding such a feature could save lots of duplicate work/time from submitters.
Especially since there is an apparent backlog of stickered counterparts waiting
to be approved.

Of course, if such a thing already exists, could someone point it out to me?

Bill

You can find this through the pending approval page. https://www.bricklink.com/catalogInvChangeItem.asp?viewStatus=0&itemType=S

Put the set number in the search box at the top of tha page (without the -1 suffix
or else it won't work). This will show all pending change requests for a
specific set.
