Seems it is right in that range, so probably so (buyer paid USD). But still,
why will the shipping services not let me bypass the VAT requirement? Guess
I'll need to talk to them.

Thanks for the clarification though on BL side of tings.

If you manage to ship, you should inform your customer that he will have to pay
taxes when importing 😉 else he might be suprised

  Hello there,

A rather large domestic ($50 USD) order was confirmed by a completely new buyer,
but then 30 minutes later the buyer made an order cancel request, citing the
reason under, "System Problem", with details "urgent buy, cannot wait for the
pending order". Bricklink says that buyer remorse or finding cheaper prices is
not a valid reason for canceling this order, and this is probably the case here,
but I also do not want to risk receiving negative feedback and ruin my 100% seller
praise. I reached out to the buyer yesterday with a high-priority flag, but no
response. What should I do?

Thank you.

Definitive cancel the order and refund if he paid.

What is your shipping rate for domestic orders? It seems USPS is going up a little
bit through the last couple years (which is understandable) I charge $4 for any
order which I can end up losing money on shipping but I feel like keeping a low
and steady shipping rate helps sales come in. Just wondering other sellers thoughts.

-Danny

I have a fixed rate which is a bit below what it costs to send 350g. This way
I earn some on shipping for small orders (needed as it takes some time to pack,
envelope cost, delivering at post office etc). I loose some money on large orders
which is fine as I get my profit on the actual parts.

Hope this helps, good luck

I give my sorter a set to build now and then and odds and ends pieces that she
likes while sorting.

I also give her room and board and rides to wherever she needs to go.

I also do all that stuff for my wife, but still she wont sort my lego :/

I used brickseller a bit, but it didnt quite fit my usage. I needed multiple
storage positions for each lot. Also it automatically made all remarks uppercase.
Also it was rather slow. Other than that it worked Great.

I made my own solution instead

I've been collecting sets on and off since I was about 7. I have several
hundred sets and I've got about 90% of the boxes for those sets as well.
Boxes are all in good to excellent condition as I always opened from the ends.
I literally have a closet full of just boxes as most of my sets are on display
in my Lego room. Wife however has been asking me to open up some storage space
in the house for my other projects. I'm wondering how important it is to
keep the boxes for my sets and if they add any value to the collectors out here
should the wife win and I end up having to sell off some of my collection?

Thanks in advance.

Some old boxes are worth hundreds of dollars. Search for the set number on bricklink
and you will find an entry for the box

Is it possible to add a sort option on seller in the Items For Sale tab on the

At this point of time each color is seperately shown as intended.

As I am often looking for more colors of the same part it is convenient if I
can sort on seller. So I can easily see if a certain seller has more than one
color available.

Regards,

Sounds like you should create a wanted list and add all needed parts there
then you can search for sellers who has all parts you need, much more convinient

Hi,

I made a minor mistake with the previous release of avSearch. I'm very thankful
for all the feedback you guys gave in PM when it was down

I finally spent the time to fix it. It should now be up running again. In case
it still doesn't work for you, try pressing "ctrl-F5" to force refresh the
page.

For those who use the hidden tools on the page, it now has a new version (item
v2) of the item pages which makes it easier to keep track of multiple storage
locations for lots in your inventory.

avSearch is based on goatleg. A special thanks to "62 Bricks" who shared the
sourcecode for goatleg.

Jan 9 I placed an order at a store, where I had asked that seller before placing
the order if they could send it with priority mail instead of having it tracked

have updated the shipping cost with the correct price, however I have not been
invoiced yet. January the 14th, 5 days after placing the order I tried contacting
the seller and asking for an invoice, however as of today I still haven't
received a response even though I can see they have read the message. They payment
method is PayPal (Onsite), but I have no idea what to do since the seller seems
to ignore me. What can I do?

Any help is appreciated, thanks for reading.

There may be a pay now button on the orders overview page (right side of the

Hi Dave, that's a very time consuming setup you have there. Honnestly I wouldn't
want to have to do orders that way.

You need storage cabinets with hundreds of drawers and/or top open bins for large
quantities items.

I know it's a important investment, but it pays in the long run time wise.

You can see on the picture that the red brick is a bit higher than the lego bricks,
which I have not seen on old lego bricks.

Also a metallic sound, or a sound as if it was made of glass, is not found in
lego bricks.

IMO it is not lego. My best guess is still ABC Copex.

You might be right. Sound could be of glass, not metal. Its interesting to hear

Ive never heard about ABC Copex. I did a Google search. It could be this as the
rest of the lot was from mid 50s, and ABC Copex also sold sets at this time.
However, from the pictures it looks like ABC Copex has taller studs. Am I right?
My bricks studs seems to be the same height as lego.

  Hello Bricklink!

When are you going to reopen my store?
I have always paid my dues. The last payment was on 08/05 for the July contribution.
Until you issue a tax correct invoice, I am not obligated to pay taxes on it.
I pointed this out on the forum over a year ago. By the way, Bricklink's
accounting seems to be in a desolate state. My total of 4 payments were not taken
into account and are always re-invoiced, although I have pointed out the first
2 payments additionally by e-mail.
In addition, I expect the immediate deletion of the note "Reason: non-payment
of fees" on the store page.
This is a lie and also damaging to my reputation. Such a thing is illegal.

Regards
Werner

I suggest that you refer to which law and paragraph is saying that your not obligated
to pay taxes.

The same goes about your claim that it is illegal to damage your reputation.
By which law and paragraph is it illegal, and why does the law apply to Bricklink?

I know some people may prefer that but definitely not me.

assuming you don't need multiple branches atm).

I made my first overseas purchase recently and was wondering what to expect on
arrival times.

What's the average time for overseas orders to be delivered into the US?

What can we expect now with all our delays in the US ports and the absence of
truckers to deliver in the US interior?

Once my order arrives I'll post my order and delivery dates.

Thanks.

When i ship to US with priority shipping it takes 1-12 weeks.

I am wondering if any sellers have gotten negative feedback when sending out
a set that was already assembled. I had a technic set that was in great condition.
Probably the best looking used set I have ever came across. Stickers were perfect.
Great looking set and yet I still got a negative review because it came fully
assembled. I did not disassemble the item because it was in such good condition.
What do you guys think about this and how do you handle it?

You can comment feedback, tell them sorry, you weren't aware that they wanted
disassembled set. Also add a comment to your used sets telling the state of
your set.

You could always send him a message and tell him that your sorry and tell him
that you've taken actions to prevent it from happening in the future. And
ask him to kindly change his feedback if he's changed his mind (give link
and instructions how to do it). Also you could offer some small refund for the
missunderstanding.

See photos. The 2nd photo is from the Terms.

360 lots x 0.5 EUR = 180 EUR in lot fees for 46 EUR of parts.

Ridiculous.

Will forward the name of the store to whoever messages me. Hoepfully one of the
admins reaches out.

I've bought from them. In general I seldom buy less than 2€ pr lot. As mentioned
before in this thread. The store is a bulk order store. They also offer parts
to customers who does not buy in bulk, but you'll need to pay for their working
hours...

A 360 lot order would take me 6 hours to pack. Also those parts would take about
12 hours to sort and put in inventory.

I'm also guessing that their actual shipping fee is more than 15€.

It'll be cheaper for you to add more items per lot than to pay their fee
And they do for sure have large lots.

I don't know about Italy, but some places in Norway does not have a street
name and also not a house number. I guess when population of the zip code is
less than 100, post service has no need for it...in 2016 Norway tried to give
a street name for everyone, but I don't think they've succeeded yet

A feedback is not hostage. Customers who care about 0.3% negative feedback are
probably customers you don't want in your store anyway. You can even reply
to the feedback and tell your side of the story. Don't worry about 1 or 2
negative I'd still buy from you

  Hi all

I'm looking for a developer to do some work for us. Initially it's a
small piece of work, but may follow onto larger projects.

Our immediate need is to built a tool to move data to and from BrickLink and
other systems (e.g. RoyalMail api) using the BrickLink and other APIs.

We're not sure exactly where the work will lead, but interface / app
development may become a requirement.

If you think that you can help, drop me a message.

Stuart

I'm working as a senior developer and I am running a bricklink store as a
hobby project

Did you plan the details of what you need? Consider possible pitfalls? What do
you plan to pay for it? How should the service be hosted and by who? What about
maintenance?

Best regards,
Anders Vik

  Greetings friends,

I am an Elementary Music Teacher and I am in need of off-brand blocks. Why?
When I have a star student, instead of giving them pencil or eraser, I want
then to put their name on a block. Then, at the end of the week, our Principal
will pull a block out and that person will win a polybag. There are more details,
but the bottom line, I don't want to have students write on Legos, but I'm
fine with then defacing off-brand. So, if anyone has off-brand legos, I am willing
to purchase them from you at an acceptable price.

Please let me know.

Thank you

Thom Richards
Ridgedale Local Schools

I've got a bag of old lego bricks from the 80s. They all got scratches or
dents. It's about 350gram.

I also got about 5kg of various pieces which are mainly lego with scratches,
but there is also some off-brand lego.

Normally I give them to local schools or kindergardens.

I'll send it for shipping cost. 350g is ca $10 to USA.

If you add all your parts to your inventory, then you can export them from bricklink
and import them to rebrickable. Rebrickable will tell how many parts your missing
from each set.

The sets from bulk lots always miss some parts. Luckily bricklink is here for
you, so you'll eventually find all missing parts.
