Hi, I know this will probably get lost in the forum somewhere, but if anyone
who reads is working on the inventory on bricklink studio, would you mind at
some point adding parts 53404 and 53407? I'm currently designing a MOC that
uses the modern RC train track and the MOC is supposed to contain 2 sidings,
and the older train track switches that are available in Studio (12V and 9V)
either don't work with the scale that I'm going for or aren't compatible
with the rest of the track. Thank you for your time.

Hi,

The dedicated forum for Studio and PartDesigner is https://forum.bricklink.com/
(hover over the red Studio icon on every page, then click “Studio Forum”).

Please search the forum for your question before posting a new one (the search
box is in the very dark grey banner).
There’s indexes of known bugs and suggestions that you can browse first:
Studio: https://forum.bricklink.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=5579
PartDesigner: https://forum.bricklink.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=5589

There’s a subforum, aptly named “Studio Parts,” to ask for parts: https://forum.bricklink.com/viewforum.php?f=6
And there’s a nice “I can’t find this part” FAQ https://forum.bricklink.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=6368

Hi, first time I have imported a wanted list, and want to 'buy all'.
I found one shop that seems to have all the items I want, but I see this message:
6524/6424 assigned (101%). So it seems like I have 100 items to much in my order?
Does anyone know what I have to do please? Thanks!!

I think what it means is that some of the parts have to be bought from this seller
in larger quantities than are listed in your want list - for example, you may
only want 35 of a particular item, but the seller only sells it in multiples
of 50.

You should be able to see whether this is the case by clicking on the "Edit"
button.

And check that all the parts are really in the (pre-)cart!
Because when one lot is ‘overbought’, it may hide one lot that is ‘underbought’
or not bought at all.

For that, you can use the Wanted Items tab on the left (where you can choose
your WL).

If I understand that correctly, the figures in the Friends line, will begin having
more variety, and will more correctly reflect the diverse forms that humans come
in. It would seem that those with some disabilities will also be represented.

How long until someone claims they have a rare short shot?

It is great they are doing more for diversity, but where are the figures for
larger kids to identify with? It's OK to be different but not fat?

Well, minifigs are morbidly obese: their girth is more than their height (6 studs
vs. 4⅔ bricks).

Thanks!

You need to login to bricklink, which there's a button to do in the top right
corner; after you've logged in, there will be an upload icon in the same
spot which allows you to upload the parts to a wanted list

I believe it looks like a basket/shopping cart

Here’s the help page:

You can also upload your .io file on the website: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/wanted/upload.page

It's obviously just a slope, I see no curved part from the picture that would
make me even consider it as part of the slope curved category.

It looks like a double wide one of these, which is in slope.

Nope.  It’s also curved.  The picture doesn’t show it well but it starts 3-plates
high and ends 2-plates high (the pointy end).

  Hmm, 0% transparency = 100% opaque, no?

Only in parts of the northern hemisphere, it is opposite in Florida and the southern
hemisphere.

I've heard that this is how Lego makes transparent parts, they have a way
of forcing them to a specific transparency/opacity and then, depending if they
want clear, frosted, or sparkle, they blast them with different non-ionizing
radiation to stop the ability to change.

Hmm, couldn’t they just change the wind?  I heard that it fixed funny faces.

This of course does not explain how transparent parts go missing.

LEGO parts have a (generally not discussed) attribute that allows them to adjust
transparency … If they don’t want to be seen, they just crank it down to 0%.
Happens all the time.

  Hello,

I have a list of lego ids taken from official instructions. How can I import
that list into wants without inserting all by hand? (there are 100 different
pieces)

Thanks

Check if the original set is inventoried (enter the set number in the box at
the top of this page) - if so, just click the heart necxt to each piece and add
it to your Wanted List.

If you want the whole set (or more than half), use the Part Out page ( https://www.bricklink.com/v2/wanted/partout.page
).

It's all right man. I also was stuck on that until I realized the symbols
didn't quite matter. That's its all just numbers for the sake of the
illustration.

As I (not) so jusdiciously chose the same simple numbers for prices and quantities,
I put € to show where the prices were.  (And € is easier for me to type.)

Better example:

lot 1: 10x parts at $0.01 each
lot 2: 1x part at $0.90

average = ($0.01 + $0.90) ÷ 2lots = $0.455

qty average = ($0.01×10 + $0.90×1) ÷ (10 + 1)parts = $0.091

Can anybody give me an example in American money?

Here you are:

2 lots to consider:
— 1 with qty 1 at $10
— 1 with qty 10 at $1

average = ($10 + $1) / (1 + 1) = $5.5

qty average = ($10 × 1 + $1 x 10) / (10 + 1) = 20/11 = $1.82

TIL, thanks for correcting me and the visual.

Happy to help

Also, the qty average is the average price per part you’d pay if you were to
buy everything that’s available (or that you’d have paid if you had bought everything
that was sold).

While the average is… well, pretty much meaningless.

I list the items in my store by the last 6 months sales average price or quantity
average price. Which ever is lower. What’s the difference between average price
and quantity average price? Should I list the items by the current sale prices
or not?

Average price includes only the transactions where 1 qty was purchased.

Quantity average price includes the transactions where the quantity 2 or more.

No, all lots are always included but the calculation is different:

Average = take all lot prices, divide by number of lots.

Quantity average = take all parts prices¹, divide by number of parts.
(¹ lot price multiplied by number of parts in the lot)

Example:

2 lots to consider:
— 1 with qty 1 at €10
— 1 with qty 10 at €1

average = (€10 + €1) / (1 + 1) = €5.5

qty average = (€10 × 1 + €1 x 10) / (10 + 1) = 20/11 = €1.01

  Hallo zusammen,

Vielen Dank euch!

Hi,

You can do many things with the Wanted List feature… but not that.  Sorry.

What you can do is find a store with many of the bricks you want (Buy page https://www.bricklink.com/v2/wanted/buy.page
, choose the WL on the left, then use the Auto-select button), then don’t validate
the cart but see if the store has other colours so you can modify your cart.

Chances are the prices for other colours will be low too.

(Anyway, EasyBuy & Auto-select don’t always choose the very lowest prices.)

(And, as I understand it, even easier in the USA: no national ID, and an SSN
