| 5489-1 Ultimate LEGO Vehicle Building Set theme needs to change from Creator
to Bricks and More.

Author: | Poncke | Posted: | Dec 5, 2021 06:37 | Subject: | LEGO Bricks and More category missing | Viewed: | 98 times | Topic: | Catalog Requests | For: | Catalog Associate | Status: | Open | |
| It seems there is a category missing on BL.
Bricks and More
There are LEGO boxes sold under this category
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Lego_themes
Bricks and More is a retired theme that was actual from 2009 to 2010
Can an Admin look into this and add it to the list of categories?
There are several sets offered on BL under the Creator category when in fact
they are Bricks and More.

| Please leave open for now until others or myself complete this.
I own an instructions dated 1977 but 3 out of 4 of the following sets are released
in 1976.
Please add note for instructions of
The instructions for this sets 154-1(version 1977), 156-2, 157-1 and 159-1 are
identical.
I need to find a copy of instructions dated 1976 but I believe it should be similar.

| 27 Rust on BL consists of parts that are both LEGO's 13 Red Orange and just
regular low-quality red parts.
The Duplo cows that are Dark Orange are most definitely not Dark Orange. Dark
Orange was introduced around 1994-95, not 1979, which reflects Red Orange's
release date as Fabuland heads. Despite the fact that this color is a bit of
a mess, BL Rust should be given to 13 Red Orange, and all Dark Orange Duplo Cows
(parts 4010pb01 and 4010px1) should be moved to Rust, along with all non-cow
"Rust" parts moved to "Red", perhaps with notes about color variation? I cannot
request this change from their catalog entry pages, so I'm doing it here.
No cow I've purchased under the "Dark Orange" color has ever turned out to
be said color, and sellers describe it as more of a "Rust" anyway, which is consistent
with the other "Rust" cows. Furthermore, BL entry photos of these cows, especially
in the case of 4010px1 show that those cows are far from being Dark Orange, and
are certainly Red Orange.
Official LEGO inventory data shows that non-cow "Rust" parts are 21 Bright Red/5
Red. No color exists that directly corresponds to 27 Rust. All inventories containing
"Rust" as an alternate to "Red" should be edited to remove the alternate "Rust"
parts, as official inventory data and information available about LEGO color
IDs show that there is no color that corresponds to BL Rust, similar to how Brittle
Blue is just a variant of Blue.
Changing all Duplo cows (4010pb01 and 4010px1) would help clean up Rust a bit
more, while also helping Dark Orange be a little more accurate in terms of a
release date. 13 Red Orange is one of those colors that doesn't exactly have
its own BL color, but making BL Rust correspond to LEGO Red Orange would help
solve that problem. Years of usage would be 1979-1997 after moving all non-cow
"Rust" parts to "Red" and moving all "Dark Orange" cows to "Rust".
This is 4010px1. Bricklink lists this color as only coming in Dark Orange, which
this obviously is not. Someone added a photo of the cow under the "Rust" color.

| I've Noticed That
Has It Part Number On The Underside Of The Brim While
Has It Inside The Stud Holder (I Think That's What It Is Called)
Please Ignore The Pen I Used It To Keep Them At An Angle Where You Can Read The
Part Number
I Tried Looking If There Was A Catalog Change Forum To Request A Note To Be Added
But I Couldn't Find One So I Thought I Should Post It Here.
I Want To Add This Note As When I Only Look At 1 Of Them It's Difficult To
Figure out Which On It Is And I Think This Might Help Significantly With Identifying
If You Have The Correct One. It's Easy To Identify If You Only Have The One
With The Part Number On The Brim However If You Have The Other one And Don't
Know The Other One Has The Number On The Brim It Might Be Difficult To Separate
I Was Only Able To Check Several I Have On Hand So I Might Be Wrong About This
And Some Of
Might Not Have The Number On The Underside Of The Brim But Since
It A Smaller Release I Thought It Might All Be The Same But I Encourage More
Knowledgeable Members To Chime In If Possible
Thank you For Your Time!

The additional notes ("There are 2 versions of this poster. The front image is
the same on both but the reverse printing creates either a red or blue lightsaber
when rolled up. The difference can be seen in the additional comparison image.")
are misleading.
There are three(!) versions of this poster:
The small one with size 25x33 cm and no reverse printing.
Two large ones with size 60x80 cm and red or blue reverse printing.

right one 53540.
In the picture 30526 is on the left and 53540 is on the right.

| I'm trying to do some sorting here but I'm terribly confused with the
categorisation of these rounded corners these days. Can we please improve this
and have them all in the same category?
Is a 'slope curved'
Is a 'brick modified' (but it's the corner of a slope curved)
Is a 'brick round' (but it's the corner of a slope curved)
All of their non-corner versions are 'slope curved'. Please let's
have them all either in 'slope curved' on that basis, or in 'brick
round' on the basis of their base having a rounded site. No preference but
please let's make it consistent, thanks!

| Hello,
I have 3 different variants of 4318 boat mast and don’t see them in the catalog.
The two white ones have the same top but different mid sections where the hinge
is, but the yellow has a larger pin top. Are they in the catalog and I just didn’t
see them or do they need to be added?

Why is one classified a headgear and the other a hair? I was looking for the
goggles version and couldn't find it until I looked at the Apocalypseburg
Abe minifig inventory. I think they should be under the same category. Whether
it's hair or headgear I guess is up for debate, although there are a lot
of these hair/hat combos under "hair":
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?pg=1&q=hat&catLike=W&catString=847&sortBy=N&sortAsc=A&catType=P&v=2
So maybe the plain black one belongs under the hair category?
And there are a few more of these headgear that could go under "hair":
https://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?pg=1&q=hair&catLike=W&catString=16&sortBy=N&sortAsc=A&catType=P&v=2
I don't think it really matters where all these hair/hat combos go, as long
as they're in one place. I'm curious how some ended up in different categories,
whether it was differing interpretations of the parts or an actual rule that
I can't determine. Either disclose the definition of hair with hats vs hats
with hair (if there is one), or move into one category please!

I own the Alien Mothership, I can offer a record:

Maybe someone else can do this. And this Item is new in 7065

| Heads 3626bpb0844 and 3626cpb0844 are actually two different heads. Not just
separated by a a hollow and blocked stud. They both have the same descriptions
but head 3626bpb0844 is actually medium blue.

| I've noticed that both
and
claim to use
but it appears that they are different.
The older version has yellow eyes with a more narrow vest opening while the newer
version appears to have orange eyes with a wider/more stretched vest opening
where the draw strings are located on the printing.
I don't have either one of them in stock or in hand, does anyone have both
versions in hand that they can confirm?

| I want to put forward multiple requests regarding a few Bionicle supplementary
sets.
First issue: the original 18 Bionicle masks come in 6-10+ colors each. However,
most of them only come in one or a few sets, in one or a few colors. The rest
come from "mask packs", where you could get two random masks from a set palette
of colors. Because these mask packs are random, bricklink has them labeled as
"cannot be inventoried", but this means that the majority of official colors
that these parts come in do not show up in the catalog. As a result, many sellers
upload their parts incorrectly, as well as buyers putting them on their wanted
lists wrong.
A particularly strong example of this is the "bionicle mask kaukau". It's
a more popular one, with the trans-neon-orange variant selling for around $12
right now. However, 22 people put trans-orange on their wanted list, and sellers
capitalized on this by uploading them as such. If you look at the price guide
for regular trans-orange, they sell for a whopping $20-40!
I propose that to cut down on confusion, these sets be changed to have inventories
that list only alternate parts, so that the accurate color names show up as suggestions
when people add the parts to their inventories or wanted lists.
If somebody is willing to help me with this, i will gladly supply information
on which parts could be found in each pack. It does get a little confusing, but
bionicle is very well documented
-----------------------------------
Perhaps contradictory to my first suggestion, there are a few bionicle supplementary
sets that have random parts inventories but DO have inventories on bricklink.
Since these sets usually have no exclusive parts, they SHOULD be changed to "cannot
be inventoried", especially since there's no point in selling them unless
they're unopened.
These sets include:
6620-1 Ultimate Accessory Set 500
6637-1 Ultimate Battle Set
6638-1 Ultimate Creatures Accessory Set (Special Edition) 300+ Pieces
8711-1 Master Accessory Kit 702 Pieces
8713-1 Limited Edition 500 Pieces
8715-1 Ultimate Creatures Accessory Set
