Hmm, your glass is an “old” one in PC, no?

Both glass 35315 and green window with old number mold 60592 I taken from this

and for example here I removed glass without a problem.

Part No: 60592 Name: Window 1 x 2 x 2 Flat Front
*
60592 Window 1 x 2 x 2 Flat Front
Parts: Window

New mold is practically identical. The most visible difference are mold lines
on sides of new one - 79128 (marked by arrows)

It looks like the top is thicker too (and the base thinner to adjust to the glass’s
height), or does the colour makes it seems so?

As you can see on last photo unfortunetly I didn't perfectly allign them
reddish brown one is slightly leaning
I put them on couch for quick photo not on perfectly flat surface

Ah, yes indeed, a parallax issue then.  I should have realized you wouldn’t have
missed such a difference

And I checked and I have to congratulate you of having perfect eyes. There is
a ca. 0,2-0,3 mm or less (for sure this is a less then a milimeter) difference.
Old window has opening moved up ca. a fraction of a millimeter

But now I have a problem as you can see on last image I tried to put a window
with number 35315 molded on it, alternate number to:

Part No: 60601 Name: Glass for Window 1 x 2 x 2 Flat Front
*
60601 Glass for Window 1 x 2 x 2 Flat Front
Parts: Window, Glass & Shutter
and as I can without a problem remove this window from old 60592, in new mold
79128 window clicked as you can see on one photo but now it stuck and it completly
impossible to remove it without destroying it. Those fractions of a millimeter
caused it. You can see scratches on part and window when I tried to remove it
but still hasn't sucseed

P.S. finally removed the window but as you can see I damage both parts

So if combined the only solution keep them together and do not separate

I play only on PC and I have I think all of them on Steam (bought them when were

all achivments: The LEGO Movie 1 & 2, The LEGO Ninjago Movie and LEGO Star Wars

  Dear community,

We are sad to inform you that our Catalog Adminstrator StormChaser is no longer
part of the Community Expert Program. We will be updating the Community Admin
page soon.

StormChaser has positively influenced the catalog in many ways, and his passion
for documentation and organization are legendary. We are planning to move ahead
with initiatives he has set in motion and keep alive his vision for a better
catalog.

We must also mention that this is a difficult time for the catalog team, as they
have lost two very experienced admins since the beginning of the year. In the
coming weeks we will announce some plans for the future.

The BrickLink Team

I'm very suprised of his departure

I just saw that Minifigure sw0737a Poe Dameron was added to the catalog. This
Minifigure is included in set 75149 and comes with helmet and hair piece.
In the past we often had Minifigures that had both helmet and hair piece but
they were only listed once in the catalog e.g. sw0416, sw0772, sw0407 ...
Why is Poe now listed twice as sw0737 with hair and as sw0737a with helmet?

I have submitted a change request.

Figure originally was submitted and approved to the catalog under new unique
number then it was changed ehwn it was in the catalog

Maybe the new one comes with the 4+ X-wing

It does, but why is it not a new number? It is a different figure as it has different
parts. There are other figures that are similar but different and appear in different
sets and have different numbers. Such as

Minifig No: sw0471 Name: Yoda - Olive Green, Open Robe with Large Creases, Neck Bracket
*
sw0471 (Inv) Yoda - Olive Green, Open Robe with Large Creases, Neck Bracket
Minifigures: Star Wars: Star Wars Episode 2

Minifig No: sw0707 Name: Yoda - Olive Green, Open Robe with Large Creases
*
sw0707 (Inv) Yoda - Olive Green, Open Robe with Large Creases
Minifigures: Star Wars

I totally agree with you
https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1190568 (and whole thread)
but as I see admins have different opinion about that.
I also think it should be new number.

...but I give it up and I don't care any more

How frustrating is it to look for a part in my inventory only to find the number
has been changed.
If a notice is sent out for items marked for deletion, why can't it be done
for changes.

There is this: https://www.bricklink.com/catalogReqList.asp?viewAction=I

where you can see and search the entire changelog.

How strange that there are no dates in that list? I would like to see which numbers
have changed but without dates, well, I know nothing. It just becomes a sum-up
of every single part that was once changed..

Just click show dates

We have this style of legs/robes under ‘Minifigure, Legs, Modified, Decorated’
which is all good for finding these McGonagall Robes

[P=36036pb23]

But not this style?

Part No: 3678bpb023 Name: Slope 65 2 x 2 x 2 with Bottom Tube with Minifigure Dress / Skirt / Robe, HP Professor McGonagall Pattern
*
3678bpb023 Slope 65 2 x 2 x 2 with Bottom Tube with Minifigure Dress / Skirt / Robe, HP Professor McGonagall Pattern
Parts: Slope, Decorated

I understand it’s probably due to wanting to keep all the decorated sloped bricks
in one place but when the slopes are specifically designed for use with minifigures
this should take precedence as to where they are located because this is where
people will expect to find them i.e under minifigure entries. Likewise those
searching for decorated slopes for a build I’m sure will have very little use
for these kinds of decorated slope designs making them a search hindrance for
the category if anything?

What about these, they can be very well used in a build:

Part No: 3678bpb105 Name: Slope 65 2 x 2 x 2 with Bottom Tube with Minifigure Dress / Skirt / Robe, Stone Statue Pattern
*
3678bpb105 Slope 65 2 x 2 x 2 with Bottom Tube with Minifigure Dress / Skirt / Robe, Stone Statue Pattern
Parts: Slope, Decorated

Part No: 3678bpb107 Name: Slope 65 2 x 2 x 2 with Bottom Tube with Minifigure Dress / Skirt / Robe, Dark Bluish Gray Mesh Stripe Pattern
*
3678bpb107 Slope 65 2 x 2 x 2 with Bottom Tube with Minifigure Dress / Skirt / Robe, Dark Bluish Gray Mesh Stripe Pattern
Parts: Slope, Decorated

Part No: 3678bpb049 Name: Slope 65 2 x 2 x 2 with Bottom Tube with Minifigure Dress / Skirt / Robe, Wedding with Silver Trim Pattern
*
3678bpb049 Slope 65 2 x 2 x 2 with Bottom Tube with Minifigure Dress / Skirt / Robe, Wedding with Silver Trim Pattern
Parts: Slope, Decorated

What I would suggest is just adding the word Skirt to all the 3678b* that are
for minifigs. So that they will appear in searches alongside 36036*

Yes and I think someone else once said they could use these robes for some curtains
when I mentioned the same thing before...

Part No: 3678bpb027 Name: Slope 65 2 x 2 x 2 with Bottom Tube with Minifigure Dress / Skirt / Robe, White Panel with Black and Gold Trim Pattern
*
3678bpb027 Slope 65 2 x 2 x 2 with Bottom Tube with Minifigure Dress / Skirt / Robe, White Panel with Black and Gold Trim Pattern
Parts: Slope, Decorated

but we’re really scratching around the barrel for ideas here on the basis of
a one in a million chance that someone might actually stumble across these parts
and decide to use them for their build either way there is nothing to stop people
having a glance under the minifig robes to see what they can find but overall
they don’t cater very well for builders and likewise slopes with space symbols,
computer panels and numbers don’t cater for the needs of those searching for
minifigure parts hence I feel it would be beneficial to separate them

Likewise we have Minifigure heads which have unrelated heads mixed in with them
from goldfish bowls to death star plans:-

https://www.bricklink.com/v2/search.page?q=minifigure%20head%20without%20face#T=P

These should be given their own category ‘Decorated heads’ also we separated
Plain Legs and Torsos from Decorated Legs and Torsos which I think was a good
move and so I think we should also consider separating plain heads from decorated
heads and separating both these again from minifigure heads

As the catalog expands I think it benefits to cater better for the two main types
of shopper ‘builders’ and ‘minifig enthusiasts’ whereas piling everything into
the same catalog entries just because they are the same design of part doesn’t
actually allow for efficient shopping for either?

We just urgently need tag system finally.

I was inventory'ing a Ninjago part and realized that online it says the date
of release is 2011 when in fact the printed year on part number 93070pb01 is
actually 2009. Minor change.

Year molded on LEGO parts is mostly earlier then year when new parts are actually
released to market.
Year in out catalog are release years and are connected with sets release dates:
"Parts - Year is determined by inclusion in other items like sets and updated
once daily."

Based on that your pending item was rejected as sticker is applied on wrong part.

From a sealed set. Thanks.

I was not aware of this part variant and I have sold mine already. No one else

Is this a real minifig? If so, can someone submit an actual picture so we don't
have a weird photoshopped image.

I've added it to the catalog. Hope you don't mind.

I don't think we can use this image here.

What is the source of this image?

A competitor's website. And someone who isn't allowed to post here anymore.

Thanks

I'm sorry, but that's laughable in practice on this platform.
Images from the Lego website are used all the time to add new catalog items (especially
items that aren't officially released yet - see catalog for pending items).
I don not believe for a second that the contributor asked permission to Lego
to use their images.
It should not matter where someone is getting the images from, it is an IPR violation
in any case.

So I agree with you in theory, but in reality if you should oblige any catalog
addition to show pictures taken by the contributor himself you'd have to
wait weeks if not months before someone parts out a set and feel like doing the
effort of taking pictures of all the new items and adding them to the catalog.
If I take a look at the main catalog contributors I don't see a lot of big
sellers among them (as they probably don't have the time for this).

I mean to say that I understand the practice of using a random image of a Lego
item as they are usually readily available in bulk on the Internet, most of them
without clear mention of the copyright holder.
Side discussion: in how far can someone be a copyright holder of a picture of
an item on which he has no copyright, like a Lego item? You might laugh at this,
but such has cases have already been tried at court.

Anyhoo, such poorly rendered and basically ugly pictures should never be a part
of our catalog. I dare say that by today's standards our catmins wouldn't
allow such an image to be used in the first place.

Erikk

https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=87
It is clearly stated in our rules
"Image Sources and Crediting Contributors"
"If an image you upload is an original scan or photo, then you will receive catalog
credit for adding it. If the image is later identified as originating or deriving
from somewhere else or is another person's image, then credit for the image
may be replaced. Images from official LEGO websites are acceptable for use and
will be credited to you. You may lose image credit if your image is replaced
by one from another member."

"Image preferences"
"BrickLink accepts any accurate image of decent quality when no image exists,
but certain preferences are exercised when choosing to replace an image or move
it to a different position. Larger images are preferable to smaller images of
similar quality and existing images are typically only replaced when the replacement
shows a significant improvement in quality or size. For specific items:

Parts - Renders are preferred.
Parts, Default Catalog Image - Professional-grade photos are preferred.
Parts, Patterned - Photos are preferred.
Parts, Variants - Photos are preferred, except for the current version of a variant
group.
Parts, Unusual Color Types - Photos are preferred for all non-standard colors
such as transparent, chrome, etc. and rare (non-inventoried) colors.
Figures - Official LEGO images are preferred.
Literature - Scans are preferred for instruction booklets, catalogs, and other
printed literature.
Sets and Original Boxes - Official LEGO images are preferred.
Sticker Sheets - Scans are preferred.
Sticker Sheets, Mirrored and Reflective - Photos are preferred."

So for plain parts offcial LEGO renders will be prefferd instead of photographs.
If we have photographs then we don't delete them but they frequently go to
additional image slot. So for main image render will be preffered.

So credit goes to...
as this is not your image so you can't get catalog credit for it.

Today I saw that the printed Leg in our inventory got marked for deletion. I
saw that even more are marked likewise. Is there a reason behind it I missed?
