For the life of me I can't see any Print here. Shouldn't it just be 49109?

PB means Pattern Bricklink. In this case is not a print but a doble moulding.
Medium Nougat + Nougat (just ears seems)

Sergio

The ears are the same color as the rest. At least in the parts I have at hand.
Do you see different in the picture?

I just took my figure from shelf and I confirm that ears are lighter in my. Ears
are Nougat just like head but Lion's Mane is tru Medium Nougat just like
torso and it is well visible on figure from which this part is.

Can someone confirm that this part comes only in flat silver... NOT Pearl Light
Gray? The parts we have look like pearl, not flat silver?

https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=40378#T=P

According to the Lego site as far as silver colours go it only shows up as:-

Description Silver Met.
Category Bricks, Special
Element 6097639
Design Number 40378

and Silver Metalic tranlates to Flat Silver on Bricklink but as already mentioned
not all parts/colours belong to a set or are catalogued on the Lego site indefinitely

The situation is then made worse by Bricklink not using Offical Lego colour names/references
which means people can translate them to the Bricklink site and colour palette
incorrectly and so although the part also shows up on BL in Pearl Light Gray
it may be that it only exists in Flat Silver or as Lego call it Silver Metalic.
This is another important reason why using Legos offical colour names should
take precedence over using colour names just because we like the sound of them
better?

973pb4140c01 (Inv) Torso Space Futuron Black Pattern, Gold Zipper and Classic Logo, 'POLICE' on Back / Black Arms / White Hands

Not to contribute to title-bloat, but since the word "Police" features prominently
on this part, it needs to be included in the description, since that is
how most people would search for it. 😕

Why do we need the locations (as in front / back) of the prints in the description.
"Black Panels with Gold Zipper, Classic Space and Police logos" covers the important
search terms. Are people really searching for back as a keyword for something
like this? If so, all other torso assemblies where back printing is mentioned
should be updated.

But there are torsos where back print is the only distinguishing feature like

  Hey!

I am working on the inventory for the new Dots Series 3 packs. I opened three
of them but only got 13 of the 16 tiles. I have created catalog entries for the
other 3, but I need images so they can be approved. You can submit the images
directly, or send them to me. I can crop and submit them if that is easier for
you.

thank you

The head has been added to the minifig's inventory - as far as I can tell
it's complete

A blocked open stud head has 3 spokes inside.

That's what I thought, but on the catalog page for [p=3626b]
it says "this part has a variant with a single interior bar across the center"
and there is even a picture of such a minifig head.

Would it be too much effort to change "Vented Stud" to "Stud with 2 Holes" and
"Blocked Open Stud" to "Stud with 3 Holes" or something like that? To someone
unfamiliar with the catalog, the terms "Vented Stud" and "Blocked Open Stud"
may seem synonymous. Then again, someone unfamiliar with the catalog probably
doesn't care. Just a suggestion.

This image will be added as an additional image for all types of plain heads.

Also large picture of 3626b showing vented stud should be moved or deleted

Remember this case
Image will not be deleted.
Picture and note was added in November 2018. When Paul found it for the first
time and admin that time didn't know more about it so they added his picture
and a note to current 3626b
https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1115430
For the first time vented head was found in sets in march 2020
https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1184827
so 1,5 half year later
But see Paul later message from march therad
https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1185193

When you compare current vented stud and one on Paul image you will see that
bar is different - thinner. So it isn't present part 28621. Origin of Paul
mold I think is still unknown.

I supplemented a note for 3626b with above informations for now.

I was lucky
as your previous added today part 2335pb220 (flag) was from 2016 sety. I thought
that this one could be from similar year set. So checked all 2016 sets (didn't
find) so I started 2017 I bingo I founded. But it was pure luck Yest there
would be a lot to check. so after ca.60 checked sets I found.

One time consuming way is to find a black part 85984, but look at each set in
which this part is.

The one you didn't know from what set it was I done unfortunately this way,
by checking set by set with 85984 black color (as sticker was applied on black
slope) and checking sticker sheet there.

Checked in set from my personal collection which was MISB and not mixed with other parts.

but didn't manage (or at least not before you changed the entry).

Thank you for submitting image of real part it looks quite different than LEGO
render.

Maybe you would like to submit now also this second round tile with star to the
catalog also?

This one would go to Tile, Round, Decorated

as for round tiles we do not diffeare if tile is only round or round and modified,
all goes to round for now (until at least to another reclassification)
as you can see in tiles round are also tiles round modified in some way

Just tried to edit:
Part 3070bpb184 Tile 1 x 1 with Groove with Glitter Trans-Clear Diamond Pattern
(Dual Molded)

I suggested a few changes, all were rejected. this means wrong color is in the
name (it's not Glitter Trans-Clear, might look so in the LEGO picture but
it's definitely not clear).

The other changes I don't understand the rejection but there might be a reason.
Why this is a decorated tile instead of modified (since it's not flat). Can
someone please explain this to me for future understanding what is and isn't
the right use?

Thanks!

Rejected Change Item Name from {Tile 1 x 1 with Groove with Glitter Trans-Clear

Thanks for your reply, no mail yet... And indeed because of that I hadn't
added the part myself (or the round lavender dot with Trans Dark Pink star).
I was not really sure what the correct way is.

and this is a problem when submitters give us only LEGO renders from LEGO database
and very few submit to catalog real photographs of LEGO parts especially strange
ones.
[p=3070bpb184]
there was only this render to be worked with
Admins don't have in hand all new LEGO parts.

Finally somebody showed what part really looks like. Please submit photograph
of real part to replace render which is very missleading.
https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogImageAdd.page?itemType=P

Also please write here what is part number molded on part.

Part will be then moved and number changed.

Word pattern in description stays as it also used for dual molded parts without
print, best example is here

Part No: 49656pb01 Name: Rock 1 x 1 Geode with Molded Glitter Trans-Bright Green Crystals Pattern
*
49656pb01 Rock 1 x 1 Geode with Molded Glitter Trans-Bright Green Crystals Pattern
Parts: Rock

Part No: 49656pb02 Name: Rock 1 x 1 Geode with Molded Glitter Trans-Dark Pink Crystals Pattern
*
49656pb02 Rock 1 x 1 Geode with Molded Glitter Trans-Dark Pink Crystals Pattern
Parts: Rock

Part No: 49656pb03 Name: Rock 1 x 1 Geode with Molded Glitter Trans-Light Blue Crystals Pattern
*
49656pb03 Rock 1 x 1 Geode with Molded Glitter Trans-Light Blue Crystals Pattern
Parts: Rock
also frequently in some new headgar and hairs with headgear for example

Part No: 52686pb02 Name: Minifigure, Hair Combo, Hair with Hat, 2 Braids over Shoulders with Molded Sand Blue Beanie Pattern
*
52686pb02 Minifigure, Hair Combo, Hair with Hat, 2 Braids over Shoulders with Molded Sand Blue Beanie Pattern
Parts: Minifigure, Hair
there is no print but it is two colored and dual molded

Category then shopuld be Tile, Modified, Decorated
as it is part with decoration in different color not plain modified ones whole
in one color.

Listed as "Ahsoka's Clone Trooper" as it is on the LEGO box art? I thought
this was the typical standard (unless something has changed). It doesn't
appear people are having a problem finding it to buy, but I know if I was the

When I was much younger there was a Captain Marvel cartoon, one of the characters
was Captain Marvel Jr., who derived his powers from Captain Marvel and would
say "Captain Marvel" to transform instead of saying "Shazam". So he couldn't
even say his own superhero name unless he wanted to become the hero.

"The name “Captain Marvel” is unique among comic book superheroes in that it
has been shared by nine different characters spread across three publishers."

https://nerdist.com/article/9-captain-marvel-comics-history-shazam/

In Marvel comics:
Mar-Vell
Monica Rambeau
Genis-Vell
Phyla-Vell
Khn'nr
Noh-Varr
Carol Danvers

So it is complicated

but my knowledge of DC Comics lore is very poor so could be wrong here. Some

No Marvel (now Disney) owns the copyright for Captain Marvel.

I know BL is quite strict about names and using the correct diacritics, umluats,
accents, and so on.

For example, ages ago I asked if "Mesut Özil" could be called "Mesut Özil (Mesut
Ozil)" (and similar requests for the others) to help out English speakers searching
for him but it was denied and only the correct spelling retained.

When typing German, if umlaut letters are not available, it is usual to replace
them with the underlying vowel followed by an ⟨e⟩. So, for example, "Schröder"
becomes "Schroeder"
So should be correctly then Oezil not Ozil

Yes, that would linguistically correct, but the issue is that people need to
be able to find items in the catalog. If they know it is officially called Özil
they are far more likely to search for Ozil instead of Oezil.

Niek.

And for that reason, we did the following:

Set No: BL19001 Name: Löwenstein Castle
*
BL19001-1 (Inv) Löwenstein Castle
2002 Parts, 3 Minifigures, 2019
Sets: BrickLink Designer Program
It ain't pretty, but it works.

Maybe I just got the wrong catmin when I asked for the DFB names to be added.

As I mentioned here: https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1136187

The one that is really annoying when searching is André Schürrle.

Set No: coldfb Name: André Schürrle, Deutscher Fussball-Bund / DFB (Complete Set with Stand and Accessories)
*
coldfb-12 (Inv) André Schürrle, Deutscher Fussball-Bund / DFB (Complete Set with Stand and Accessories)
2 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 2016
Sets: Collectible Minifigures: Deutscher Fussball-Bund / DFB
He has both first and second names unsearchable if you cannot type diacritics.
At least for Ozil, you can use Mesut.

And for some reason, it was allowed here:

Minifig No: dfb003 Name: Jérôme Boateng, Deutscher Fussball-Bund / DFB (Minifigure Only without Stand and Accessories)
*
dfb003 (Inv) Jérôme Boateng, Deutscher Fussball-Bund / DFB (Minifigure Only without Stand and Accessories)
Minifigures: Collectible Minifigures: Deutscher Fussball-Bund / DFB

but not here:

Set No: coldfb Name: Jérôme Boateng, Deutscher Fussball-Bund / DFB (Complete Set with Stand and Accessories)
*
coldfb-3 (Inv) Jérôme Boateng, Deutscher Fussball-Bund / DFB (Complete Set with Stand and Accessories)
2 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 2016
Sets: Collectible Minifigures: Deutscher Fussball-Bund / DFB

As for Oezil vs Ozil, if you read most UK tabloids it will be Ozil. Broadsheets
will have the umluat.

The Ö in Özil is not a German Ö. It's a Turkish Ö. I do not know whether
the description Oe is identical there.
It is also called umlaut and not umluat.

And here I thought it was only US papers that did that:

“English is a straightforward, frank, honest, open-hearted, no-nonsense language,
which has little truck with such devilish devious devices as accents; indeed
U.S. editors and printers are often thrown into a dither when a foreign word
insinuates itself into the language. However there is one word on which Americans
seem to have closed ranks, printing it confidently, courageously, and almost
invariably complete with accent—the cheese presented to us as Münster.
Unfortunately, Munster doesn't take an accent.”
— Waverley Root, The International Herald Tribune, Tuesday May 18th, 1982, p.8

Here's an interesting discussion, especially point 11 (Heavy Metal Umlauts)

I found this
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%96

Looks like turkey borrowed umlauts letters from Germany when they established
new alphabet during Atatürk reforms.

I'm sorry for a lot of polish diacritics in Bricklink database

But then there are these figures:

Minifig No: sh586 Name: Shazam
*
sh586 (Inv) Shazam
Minifigures: Super Heroes: Super Heroes Other

Minifig No: sh592 Name: Shazam - White Hood, Spongy Cape
*
sh592 (Inv) Shazam - White Hood, Spongy Cape
Minifigures: Super Heroes: Batman II

On the box of 76120 in the minifigure panel, LEGO identify him as Shazam! and
not Shazam. So should the entry also follow this as Shazam! and not Shazam ?

As I checked DC Comics name it Shazam without !
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captain_Marvel_(DC_Comics)
When he scream "Shazam!" he becomes this character that is why there is ! but
name of the character is still Shazam
As for Shazam! with ! was title of movie based on this DC Comics character
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0448115/

but my knowledge of DC Comics lore is very poor so could be wrong here. Some
specialists in DC maybe could give some light into this?

When typing German, if umlaut letters are not available, it is usual to replace
them with the underlying vowel followed by an ⟨e⟩. So, for example, "Schröder"
becomes "Schroeder"
So should be correctly then Oezil not Ozil

but still no more clues.

Maybe there was some stock of theme loose left after this keychain production
and they were never glued and used for this keychain

Here is similar situation and the same era, troso from 2002. This castle one
is from 2003

Set No: 5596 Name: Dino Birthday

9 Parts, 2008
Sets: DUPLO: Dino

* Add 1 Part 61236a Tan Duplo Egg Base with Jagged Edge and Smooth Center (No Studs) (Alternate)

I can't find a single image anywhere of this part with studs in it (Tan or
Dark Orange), and I don't know why LEGO would create two molds for a part
that only appeared in two sets from the same year. I think the tan render for
61236 is wrong and that is why someone went and created the 61236a catalog entry.
The catalog entries for 61236 and 61236a need to be merged.

Cheers,
Randy

Similar situation is here

some renders are smooth and some are with studs inside (blue one)

Head mistakenly listed as extra part when it's part of the minifig sw1113 which is in the inventory

It was not a mistake. My copy has this head extra. I was suprised but I have
two heads and one body for The Child

So as far as I know, minidoll heads are the only decorated pieces that each have
their own item number instead of a "pb" or such added to the end of it. Why is
that? The minidoll torsos and leg pieces all have the normal numbering. Is there
a specific reason why the heads are different?

Been bugging me for a while now.

Have no idea. First ones were added at the beginning of 2012. I think people
who were admins that time should be asked why such decision was made/
