Since this set has no formal instructions, we must look to the set packaging
to determine how the minifigure was defined. It is quite obvious on the set packaging
that this minifigure is constructed with the basket, so you are correct.
However, instead of changing the minifigure inventory, this minifigure will need
to be marked for deletion and a new minifigure containing the basket will need
to be added to the catalog. Once the new minifigure is in the catalog, it can
be placed into the set inventory and the basket removed from the inventory.
Are you able to add the new minifig to the catalog?

They are a color known as Flamingo Pink. This is another color only used in Clikits
and not available as a color on BrickLink.
I don't know what to do about it, but it will probably stay where it is.

I got a third of this set and it lets me tweak a little more. This set had only a few extras, but there were 3 extra large rubber bands. And only 148 pins instead of 150.

I would list them as Chrome Gold with a note that specifically states that the
gold coating is fading. After all, the gold is just a color wash over a Chrome
Silver part that can easily disappear over time if handled too much. Some of
your Chrome Silver parts may have been Chrome Gold to begin with.

I think you could make a case for this. I don't believe the set it is from
had typical instructions, just photos on the box. This figure is pictured assembled

| I notice that there are now a number of things like this in the catalogue under
GEAR:

What are these meant to be?
Looking at Castle Byers, some people are usnig the listing to sell the set, some
the stickers, some sets with custom stickers, another the set with custom prints,
etc. No-one is actually selling just the instructions!
Is the intention that these should really just be the instructions given that
they come under a category called "Building Event Instructions"?
If so, why are they not listed like normal instructions? Is it because BL does
not recognise these as sets, and properly listed instructions must have sets
to go in?
I remember trying to add the Superman set long ago, and it was denied. But now
it seems the instructions do exist in BL's view, but the sets do not exist.
The strange thing is, when I got my Superman, they were using laser copy / printed
instruction sheets and you could get the PDF if you wanted it, but they did not
have "genuine" instruction sheets.

Yep. There is a Flat Dark Gold 40666 that should not be in the set, also. Probably
a typo in the inventory from a long time ago.

Frankly I do not have any knowledge about them and that is why I don't want
to touch this topic, wating here for Randy. And yes as Randy said from the beggining
all my time is consumed by approval of new things, just check the callendar,
we recently are just flooded by many submissions. Lot of people started to subbmitt
many items and photos. It is good we are very glad and happy that many people
want to subbmit, but than there is not time for more to deal for exampe with
thing on road map.

This month is now almost 600 new items in the catalog and this is not the end
of the month
Last month was over 800
In June and April also over 800. Only in May and in July was less about ca. 500-600.
So since I'm on catalog there is no month with less than 450 items added
to the catalog.
(Feburary and March was after the Robert left)
and there is October nearby when many new sets will be released so more new items
will be submitted 
and there are also catalog change requests which there are alredy 8124 changes
from the beggining of the year. We are probably going for the record here as
we have just september, so still three month to the end of the year and the record
was in 2014 with 8381 so a little bit over 250 we need beat the record

I remember that 2453b was approved to the catalog shortly after I inventoried
this set. Sets that I parted out and one for my personal collection had a mix
of both types in all colors. The one that I still have in my personal collection
has red 2453a. I'll submit a change request for it.

I am on the inventories side and not the catalog side. It is up to Marek and
the new Catalog Associate Paul to take up catalog projects. Marek has been alone
since the beginning of the year and approving new items to the catalog and approving
changes to the catalog takes all of his time. Once Paul gets ramped up, the catalog
side will be able to do more. So if you want the project started, you will need
to lobby them at this time. When I become a Catalog Associate around the end
of October or early Novemeber, I would be happy to start a dialog then if something
has not been started.
