| The "Part Out" tool feels very outdated, and is tedious to use. One accidental
click on a link, and you loose every data you have put in for each lot.
I know there are third party software used to upload parts to your inventory,
but think a much more powerful way to part out set should be offered by BrickLink.
Maybe a software you download to your computer, but it could also just be a massive
redesign of the existing tool online.
What I miss the most is easier ways to manage lots that already exist in my inventory.
I don't want to open a new page just to check the remarks for a certain lot,
because if I forget to open that link in a new tab I will loose all progress
made with the other lots. This information should be visible on the same page,
or I should be able to open it in a pop-up window.
When parting out huge sets with thousands of pieces, it would also be nice to
be able to save the progress and continue later. Maybe there should be one upload
button for each lot, so I don't have to go through the entire list first
and then submit all changes at once.
There are of course lots of different features that could be implemented to make
the Part Out tool even more powerful, like more advanced ways to set up automatic
prices, like 10% below average etc.

| Guys, what i am saying maybe cliché but many sellers here should have already
experienced those irresponsible people who order and go away or give those funny
excuses blah blah blah. i am not asking for any kind of punishment to those people,
i just hope the management of bricklink can work out something to avoid these
so as to have a better protection to our sellers.(such as set limitations for
new account or consequences of cancellation) thank you for your time. God bless.

| Hi,
as a buyer, I found having only two choices for parts condition is far too basic
and not useful, mostly for buyers, but also for sellers who seek accuracy and
honesty regarding their inventory.
I mean, for now a seller can only pick new or used, but pretty much everyone
has his/her own standard and I got some used parts which are like new, some others
which are closer to the one way ticket to trash, if you see what I mean .
It's not good nor practical to force seller to put actual picture(s) of all
the used parts, both hobbyist and professional has better use of their time I
guess.
Plus, asking for every single part before ordering is not good either, some sellers
didn't took time to reply to potential buyer's question already.
And when seller put description, it's quite subjective, one adjective is
far to describe actual shape of a part: "bite marks, yellowish", ok but how many
marks, how deep ?
how much "yellowished" is the brick ?
Some may claims "quite good", some other "I can't send them to trash".
A quality score could be added to a used part. It would be used as well to set
the sell price, as trash-ready used parts can lower the infamous "average 6 months"
and lower ALL prices, which is very unfair for like new parts.
Any thoughts ?

| Whenever I am looking up a stickered part in the catalog to identify, I then
look at past and current sales of this part. So my pet peeve is this: how can
a stickered part possibly be listed as 'new'?? Just by the fact that
you took the sticker off the sheet and attached it to the part makes it, by definition,
USED! It doesn't matter if you never used this part to build the set, it
is still used! Is there any way we can disable the 'new' button when
listing these types of parts?

| When searching for a part, it would be useful if the items for sale list could
highlight, prioritise, or otherwise indicate stores for which I already have
an open cart.
Ideally I'd like stores with open carts to be at the top of the list, with
an 'add to cart' button with a quantity entry box, to just add the item,
without going into the store page.

| While adding items to an inventory which match a p\n and color of item on my
want list provide alert message "Item matches to Want List" with optional to
(1) continue to add to inventory no changes to Want list (2) Quantity matches
on WL, show remarks with option to remove from WL (3) User input to change quantity
on WL. Just a quick thought I'm sure there are other considerations to add

| Hello.
In Spain, and in many other countries, there are different regions with different
shipping rates. In spain at least, we have two sets of islands, where shipping
is usually different (more expensive) than to mainland spain.
As for now, I can't set it up for automatic checkout, and i just need to
eat the cost difference if i get an order from there, but it would be nice if
it could be added.
Thank you

| It would be helpful if you could set the colour of items in a Wanted List to
"I don't care" or "any".
Sometimes you want to build something but really don't care what colour the
pieces are; e.g. an internal structure or some sort of technic mechanism; you
just want them to be as cheap as possible.
With this option when you searched stores for parts it would ignore colour, but
still select based on cost and volume etc.

I was wondering if was possible, or if it would make sense to stop the visit
count going up when you visit your own store. This would give a more accurate
idea of how many other people have looked at your store.
If I am misunderstanding what it is for please correct me.

| Maybe it’s just me but I’m not sure it’s fair to allow buyers who use the Instant
Checkout feature to leave poor feedback relating to shipping costs. I totally
understand being surprised by a high shipping cost when being invoiced but there
are no surprises with instant checkout. It’s totally in the buyers court to make
the purchase with the costs known up front. Also, if invoicing and the shipping
and handling charges are clear in the terms tab, it should also be removable.
I’d really like to see a change made to the feedback policy that allows for removal
of feedback when the purchase is made through the Instant Checkout function.
It’s not reasonable to allow a buyer to damage the reputation of a seller for
something the buyer agreed to.
I'm underwhelmed with the support from BrickLink as far as feedback is concerned.
If the buyer or seller can show that they are completely without fault BrickLink
should be able to remove feedback that is unwarranted.

| I would like to be able to import my inventory into bricklink.com and see which
sets I can build, what is the completion %, for each set and which parts are
missing.
So I can quickly buy missing parts for these sets that I can build and then start
building new sets using the bricks I already have.

| I'm new to the Bricklink community. Probably like many, I was into legos
when I was growing up, then stopped when I reached high school and now have kids
of the right age so I'm getting back into them.
I've bought a few sets of missing pieces so far on Bricklink. What was built
here never ceases to amaze me. It strikes me that one thing that's missing
is a way for creators to make money on their own custom sets. There is a very
old discussion topic on Affiliate Marketing which doesn't look like it went
anywhere. This idea is tangentially related.
It would be great if a builder could encode their design into a bricklink shopping
cart and then when people purchase the legos from the shopping cart or custom
set, the creator of the set could get some referral cost of the legos purchased.
This could give a huge boost to the lego community by empowering creators to
design and sell their own designs and could help increase cost per brick for
the sellers. At the same time, it would allow the common builder access to a
much wider array of sets to build.

| Currently, BrickLink does not support USPS zones, nor has there been any public
indication it is being implemented. Up until now, the ability of Instant Checkout
to calculate correct destination shipping within the USA has been compromised
for Priority Mail (custom packaging), but not for USPS First Class Parcel.
BrickLink has supported the existing USPS First Class Parcel and the existing
"flat rate" Priority Mail boxes (small/medium/large) because zone calculation
was not needed.
With the 27 January 2019 USPS rate change imminent, we (the sellers) have no
automated method of calculating the correct First Class Parcel rates, because
a zone calculation will be needed.
The calculation of zone is documented at DMM 608.9.0 (in it's entirety).
If BL chose not to use the USPS API calls to get the zone number for a given
shipment, it is possible to calculate it based on great circle distances. See
the explanations for more detail.
Since BL has chosen to not use the API callbacks provided by USPS, they have
instead opted for database rate tables (which have to be manually reloaded each
time USPS changes the rates). The current table contains the 2017 rates. It was
never updated to reflect the 2018 rates.

| Hi
It has been quite a while since I joined BrickLink, and for new members is there
any advice/info forwarded when joining (i.e ensure that you read the Sellers
Terms before Buying)
Just had a new member buy 1 part for 50p (UK), for delivery to Slovakia. Didn't
think he would buy once postage etc added.
Just had a message, thought it would be free postage.
Not a problem, as expecting it, but obviously he was not aware or made aware
of how Bricklink works.
Is such a thing in place or could it be added
Thanks

| Hi,
Thanks for this great service!
As customer, buyer only, I salute the fix done to part adding to wishlist, when
chosing some attribute reset other attribute.
Still, there are several things to be corrected according to my flow.
One would be the moving parts to another wishlist, when some part already exists
in the same colour and a message saying already exists prevents that. I would
need a button added to that message to add the number of selected parts to the
list, if I decide so (meaning I did not duplicated an entry by mistake, but I
need more).
Another is the maintenance page. It overrides the browser's history and I
loose the page were I was. Definitely, in each case, I need to go back to it
when the maintenance is done.
Please take into account these suggestions.
Thank you and best regards,
Mike

| Is there any reason why a function to part multiple unique sets can't implemented?
For example it would save a huge amount of time if I could sort all the lots
from three copies of five different sets and pack everything away once, rather
than having to go through the whole part out process five times.

| I'd like to be able to search for stores within a specific range (ie 10km,
20km, 50km) from my postal code. Seeing that a seller is in a given province
(in my case) means they could be around the corner or 12 hours way in Thunder
Bay. Being able to search nearby stores would be a fantastic option. It would
be an option to opt into, whereby a store must enable the feature to show up
in nearby store searches. This would allow stores to disable the feature in
case they are uncomfortable with the feature.

| Hi all.
Suggestion ….
Feedback is not always left by the customer. Positive is left most times, and
a customer will always leave negative or neutral if there is something wrong.
One assumes that if nothing is heard from the customer, it must have been delivered
and was ok. Therefore - Can we have an automated positive feedback say after
2 months(or whatever length of time is felt suitable) of order being delivered
for all orders still showing as shipped. It could also be implemented if the
seller has not given feedback.
Thanks

| Some pages use page titles specified, some don't (for instance wanted lists).
I wish we could get better pagetitles (in the tags) programmed. If i
open up multiple tabs of bricklink pages (multiple wanted lists or sets, parts
etc) they all look alike and i have no idea which is which because the site does
not use page titles.
Instead of:
Bricklink - Search your wanted list
I would like to see:
SC Scale Porsche 911 GT3 RS - Wanted list - Bricklink
Pushing the sitename to the end of the page title would already be a helping
factor but you could make better titles.
This would also help the sites SEO, but it's just easier to work with and
use multiple tabs.
my 2 cents/wish.
Thanks for listening

| Firstly love the site.
Been a buyer for a few years now.
And I'm starting to use wanted lists.
And while I'm gooding through a store for a particular part, I'll come
across and item listed in one of my Wanted lists.
If I'm at a large store their maybe a few.
It would be nice to have an option / filter to just list parts in your wanted
list(s).
You may decide to get more parts from that sttore than intended.

| Hello everyone!
I'm a long-term buyer on Bricklink, but have recently started to sell here
as well, and I've been looking through all of the various areas of data in
the site (which has been an amazing process), and I haven't been able to
find anything that shows the most commonly sought-after parts -- either by
direct request, or by inclusion on member "wanted lists".
Is there an area or process that is already programmed for the calculation and
display of the most wanted parts by the members?
Or is this a time-crunching labour-of-love process of comparing part quantities
currently for sales vs. sold in the last 6 months, etc.?
Just want to make sure that I'm stocking what people really want to get their
hands on -- aren't we all?
Thanks for any info you can offer!

| As german seller in order to follow german law I want to be able to customize
the button displayed on the final checkout page (currently "Place Order") so
that it can be localized as needed by the shop owner.
Some background for emphasize the need (german only though sorry!): https://www.haendlerbund.de/de/downloads/whitepaper-button-loesung.pdf
This setting should be implemented in an optional way (when not defined default
BL text will be displayed). Furthermore a checkbox for displaying it to domestic
buyers only might be helpful.
To any other (german) seller: Please add to this idea / feature request so that
we can use BL again
