Ya, nothing happen... I didn't even found similar suggestion, flooded among
other ignored suggestions.

I agree wit you 100%. Last year I decided to sort used parts and
label them in 3 categories: 1) Like new 2) lightly used 3) visibly used
I also had 4th category "filler" for a while but I decided to remove it
because as you say it lowers the 6 months average.

I have to say that I got feedback from a couple buyers that they found
labeling condition of the used parts very helpful. And there was people
who were buying "fillers" also.

Good question. The best I can think of right now is buyer feedback with a new
item:

part quality accuracy: 0 .. 5

if a seller got x ratings under the avg, someone (BL admins) WILL HAVE TO take
action quite like 3 NSS leading to close a store.

Of course, NO ONE can oversight the dishonest buyers, sometimes assumption has
to be made I guess. As human are flawed, everything made by humans for managing
humans will have to be flawed.

Maybe, constantly complaining buyers have to send proof, but even that is not
100% safe as the worst can gather trash parts, buy the same and put discredit
on a seller. As someone said: people sucks !

  Hi,

as a buyer, I found having only two choices for parts condition is far too basic
and not useful, mostly for buyers, but also for sellers who seek accuracy and
honesty regarding their inventory.

I mean, for now a seller can only pick new or used, but pretty much everyone
has his/her own standard and I got some used parts which are like new, some others
which are closer to the one way ticket to trash, if you see what I mean .

It's not good nor practical to force seller to put actual picture(s) of all
the used parts, both hobbyist and professional has better use of their time I
guess.
Plus, asking for every single part before ordering is not good either, some sellers
didn't took time to reply to potential buyer's question already.

And when seller put description, it's quite subjective, one adjective is
far to describe actual shape of a part: "bite marks, yellowish", ok but how many
marks, how deep ?
how much "yellowished" is the brick ?
Some may claims "quite good", some other "I can't send them to trash".

A quality score could be added to a used part. It would be used as well to set
the sell price, as trash-ready used parts can lower the infamous "average 6 months"
and lower ALL prices, which is very unfair for like new parts.

Any thoughts ?

I agree there should be different qualities of used, although it would probably
cause more arguments than it will solve.

I tend to avoid buying any used parts unless absolutely necessary simply because
for some sellers used means any old junk. It is unfair on sellers that take pride
in their used parts and sell only the best quality. I am also probably missing
out on getting decent used parts and instead pay higher for new, but I was burned
on my first few transactions here and quickly learned not to buy used. If there
was a "like new" used condition, I'd probably buy more used.

Please make changes to the following inventory:

Set No: 6677 Name: Motocross Racing

6677-1 (Inv) Motocross Racing
61 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 1986
Sets: Town: Classic Town: Race

* Delete 2 Part 4073 Trans-Red Plate, Round 1 x 1 Straight Side
* Add 1 Part 4073c01 Trans-Red Plate, Round 1 x 1, 2 on Sprue
* Delete 2 Part 4081a Yellow Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with Clip Light - Thin Ring (match ID 1)
* Change 2 Part Yellow 4081b Plate, Modified 1 x 1 with Clip Light - Thick Ring {Alternate to Regular} {match ID 1 to 0}

Hello,

I know as a fact that the thick clips was produced since 1985. I have evidence
that thin light gray clips came with 7745-1 in its early production, but in later
production runs, since mid 1985 or even earlier, thick light grays clips were
used?
Do we have any evidence that thin clips appeared with early releases 6677-1?
Answer: it seems to me "No".

In the photos, you can also see a NIB 6677-1 with sealed bags coming with yellow
thick clips. We can also recognize the mini catalog from 1986:

Catalog No: m86us2 Name: 1986 Mini US (113117-US)
*
m86us2 1986 Mini US (113117-US)
Catalogs: 1986

This is why I suggest to remove the yellow thin clips from this set. If later,
somebody finds any evidence that they came with this set, they can be added again,
but I dont' think they did come with this set.

When I look up these Lego Pirates books on Amazon, they're mostly listed
as paperbacks. Does anyone know if they were actually ever printed in paperback,
or are those Amazon listings wrong? Bricklink only shows them as being printed
in hardcover.

I ordered all of them from Amazon a few days ago, so I guess I'll find out.
3 of the ones I bought were listed as paperbacks, but I couldn't find any
evidence that paperbacks actually exist.

Hi, so my son’s name is Emmett and I got him the first LEGO Movie Emmet and am
trying to find him the second Emmet for LEGO Movie 2. Does anyone know the identification
number for the blind bag Remix Emmet? Someone said it was 41S8, but that was
Scare Crow...

Randy,

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! (And nice avatar, Blacktron II forever!)

That makes sense, and my only counter-point to that is that Brickset uses info
from here to list minifigures, and being a collector, it's nice to be able
to have each of the alternate figs listed in a collection. Additionally, it gives
sellers more options to sell unique minifigs as well.

Just giving my two cents.

Thanks!
-Kevin

P.S. I'm curious how those decisions are made, is there one person that decides
on all these things, or do a bunch of admins just come to an agreement? Just
wondering

In Catalog Requests, randyf writes:
The minifigs listed as Counterparts in any of these sets should not have been
accepted to the catalog. They do not fit the definition for how BrickLink defines
the minifigs, and the alternate faces would be considered play scenarios. I will
need to discuss this with the other admins, but my first thoughts are to *not*
accept further Counterpart figures and reverse the decision of the prior figures
and have them marked for deletion.

Cheers,
Randy

I noticed that some of the sets from TLM and TLM2 that have Unikitty with alternate
face pieces have her listed as a Counterpart and others do not.

Just wondering if I could get the pending minifigs approved so that these are
all consistent.

Thanks!

Thanks for catching my goof. Can you please add it as a 3 part assembly as you
show?
Thanks again

I have the sticker, but that sheet is supposedly quite valuable. I don't
think the stickered assembly would be worth a nickel...
