I shouldn't think so. Almost all sets already have an undetermined version.
The "a" version only appears in 4 sets and I imagine those could be just left
the way they are. If someone determines that they came with the variant you've
discovered, then the inventories can be changed.

I just submitted a new variant I found in a 90s Belville set. My intention when
I got these sets was to simplify things, but I fear this complicates them. Do
a lot of inventories with A need to be changed to an undetermined long connector
now?

I really like the idea of this set. I wish it weren't so small. If the
big roller coaster had this theme or some other theme, I don't think I would
resist it.
