I don't have so many cancelled orders?
|
The first thing you should do is to put a shipping cost table in your store terms.
Then at least buyers has a theoretical chance to see shipping cost before placing
an order. This of course only works for those buyers who actually read store
terms
I have shipped 900+ orders and never had a buyer ask for order cancellation because
of shipping cost.

| Why not ask the seller if they will combine multiple orders in one package, then
place them as separate orders. Or as others noted, batch by batch. I don't
think it is a feature BL should be providing a special tool for.
|
I have done exactly that for a seller ordering parts for two different MOCs (with
two different BL accounts )
He kindly aked me to ship ordeers together but packaged seperately. No problem
of course.

| Why do German sellers charge you 5% paypal fee? I never understood this fee.
I have never charged my customers a paypal fee???
|
according to Paypal's terms USA sellers are prohibited from doing passing
that expanse to their buyers. European sellers are not bound by those rules.
I wouldn't charge paypal fees even if i was allowed to- no buyer likes to
do math while shopping for their favorite toy.
I'm surprised that Bricklink's admin allows this because they don't
make money on fees so sellers in EU can reduce their commission to Bricklink
by lowering their part cost and charging extra fee like this.
|
The same goes for lot limit fees, packaging fees or whatever fees sellers charge.

| Hello Admin, just wondering if you people might be working on a way to upload
the same part but different colours at the same time rather than going back every
time and repeating the same step over and over again. I tried BrickStock and
since I use Canadian Pricing it won't work for me.
What I would like to see is on the upload part page is : qty of part and colour
and select pricing then right under that another line so I can add then my next
colour of brick and so on and so on and hit submit once, similar to the parting
out a set page.
Thanks

You can use Brickstock, you can just multiply the prices by the correct factor
to convert from US to CAN currency.

| Hello, imagine all your parts are in your inventory and you want to know if you
can build the set number XXXX. I know that the option "Parts from set ..." exists
in "Search my inventory" but it doesn't do exactly what I want. I've
been thinking about this :
When you go on a set inventory, each line the inventory shows if you have this
part in your inventory and if the quantity is enough. At the end of the inventory,
a list of the missing parts (with quantity) is showed and you can upload it in
your wanted list ...
example :
Consider the set XXXX composed of the following parts :
3 black part #1
5 red part #2
1 white part #3
Consider I own the following parts in my inventory :
8 black part #1
2 red part #2
2 blue part #3
8 green part #4
When I would go on the set XXXX inventory, I could read :
3 black part #1 : OK !
5 red part #2 : 3 are missing
1 white part #3 : 1 is missing
At the end you could easily add the following parts to your wanted list :
3 red part #2
1 white part #3
You could also easily substract the parts that you new from your inventory ...
Would it be possible to add this functionality ?

| Hi there,
When listing items for sale, I am relying heavily on the Avg Price feature. However,
there are enough cases where upon digging deeper I find that one or two people
have over-inflated the price (as in $25 instead $2) or deflated the price ($.01
instead of $.40) and this really skews the resulting average price. With a median
price, I could just see where the middle of the pack is in terms of pricing and
it would give sellers of more rare pieces a shot at quickly determining a fair
price right from the embedded price chart on the Inventory pages. I believe this
would help us with the common pieces too!
Thanks for you consideration!

You should use the 6 month average sold price, it is much more realistic.

| As Bricklink seems to be growing at an impressive rate and we see more new buyer
join,
i have noticed a negative trend of posts in the forum regarding scammers and
dishonest sellers.
I'd hate to lose these potential shoppers who might not be as savvy in spotting
the red flags of a seller that might fall short of providing the minimum level
of service one might hope to receive.
To a buyer; those initial shopping experienced shape her/his opinion of Bricklink
as a system- we (sellers & Bricklink) should make sure those experiences are
pleasant.
So my idea is a simple one; how about having a short 'quick start' guide
for new BL shoppers; a short and informative welcome message that would give
the most basic of advises to the shopper such as taking a look at a seller's
feedback (not just quantity of feedback but also the quality of feedback as some
relatively new shops might not have the high volume of feedback but would still
provide an excellent service)
Some general info to take the mystery of what happens after you place your first
order (wait for invoice) and more of the general info that is provided in the
'Help''Buying' section which i'm sure most new buyers don't
look at before placing their first order.
a 'welcome to Bricklink' email with some of these details might help
both buyers and sellers avoid some frustrations and benefit our community.

Very good idea.
