Look at 5:34. You can tell it isn't B (the one I am looking for) from the shape. You can tell it isn't A from the year.

You probably have to do what the grandkids say, but there are some sets that
allow all the way up to 99 and if you were older than that, I expect you would
have already retired.

  Hi all

When I am on Bricklink, I am primarily buying pieces for vintage sets.
Is there a good store for vintage pieces that anyone knows of? Or just a store
that notes part variations so you are getting exactly what you want?

Thanks

Mine will be good for that when I reopen. Probably a couple more weeks.

Minifigures: Town: Classic Town

Comments from Submitter:
This might be serving as a placeholder. I got my minifig from sealed 2849. He is also in 1068-1, which is the same set released 2 years later and then he is in 3 board games from 2001-2. Used copies I can see of the 2001 game still show italics. Do we actually need to split him or can we hand wave this?

Minifig No: dp095 Name: Cinderella - Dress with Stars and Bow (Undetermined Hinge)

dp095 Cinderella - Dress with Stars and Bow (Undetermined Hinge)
Minifigures: Disney: Disney Princess: Cinderella
Marked for Deletion

Pending requests remove this undetermined variant from the last 2 inventories.
Please mark her for deletion.

If appropriate, consider removing the inventory and marking it "Cannot be
inventoried". There are a whole bunch of them for sale, but I would like
it to disappear from the list of items containing undetermined parts.

Do I understand correctly that the hair, round plate, and light saber were missing
from the minifig? If that's the case then I could see why it was removed
- 3-4 pieces out of a total of 7-8 were missing.

The main part is only one piece, so three of the four pieces of the figure were
missing. Once we have a chance to get the inventories for these figures into
the catalog, there will be no confusion over them.

Wel, the figures are only 19 years old.

Prior administrators would not let them be inventoried. The current team decided
to allow them to be inventoried later last year. All we are waiting for are good
images of the figures without all of the pieces that can come off easily. If
you would like to help with that, please do so.

I got 1 or 2 of them (I think obi wan (and maybe Anakin?)). If you need anything
specific please let me know

You've jogged my memory that I think we had a Mace Windu at some point. Oh
no... another scavenger hunt for a piece I haven't seen in 10 years. lol

I know where my Mace Windu is.

Read above.

"All we are waiting for are good images of the figures without all of the

I did but wasn’t sure what it meant should I print them off and send them
to bricklink in the USA or make entires for the parts or something else

I'm still planning to get to this project and have a new Darth Vader here
to get it started, but I better won't make any promises anymore when that
will happen (likely not this or next month as we expect around 100 new sets in
June which must be inventoried).
If you want to prepare any images right now, please send them to catalog@bricklink.com.

I have Mace Windu. I don't recall if everything comes glued on these. If
so, I might not be willing to take him apart, but I am at least interested in
helping with this project.

I was excited to hear that a space CMF set was coming and then felt very underwhelmed
at disappointed when I saw what they were. That said, some of them are growing
on me. The Beetlezoid is nice and the Blackthorn Mutant. And more Space babies
are always welcome.

I was in the midst of a project to break out torsos that were vintage from modern
torsos with the same print, which would help collectors get the correct piece
and push back on sellers rebuilding minifigs with the wrong era parts and passing
them off as vintage. But Bricklink stopped that project right in its tracks
and moved backward from my vantage point. It is just what it is.

Yes, the project was purported to stop sellers from getting in trouble, but it
will lead to sellers getting in trouble, unfortunately. People are going to
rebuild minifigs and not know that there is an accurate head and an inaccurate
head and customers will be angry that they got the hollow stud on a minifigure
from 1993.

Bricklink chose that problem over the other.

I had figure SW0121 removed from my listings. The reason given was "Reason:
Item is incorrectly defined as New/Used or Complete/Incomplete/Sealed". But
I had the figure marked as "used" and mentioned the parts that were missing
on the figure. I realize you can't sell incomplete figures but this figure
is not inventoried so there is no way to sell individual pieces from this figure.
There are also numerous amounts of this figure listed on Bricklink with missing
parts, broken parts, or with colored parts swapped out for different colors.
So why would mine be removed if there is no way to list it on Bricklink besides
custom. Especially when all these other figures are allowed to stay.

Out of interest what part or parts were missing?

This is what I had written in the description. "Comments: No hair, round

I didn't see last night that you'd already answered my question. I realize
it doesn't answer the direct issue you are asking about, but it appears that
you can bypass the issue and sell yours for $40 if you just buy $3 worth of parts
to complete him. I don't know if you've been treated unjustly, but it
is to your own advantage to do that.

Is that in writing somewhere?

What is missing from yours? It seems like a complete one is valuable enough
to be worth completing, unless it is missing a piece that isn't in the catalog.

If we’re to adhere to the "catalog" as you espouse, the reality that
is “Can not be inventoried” by extension has no place in this discussion, I suppose

Not keeping up here, my friend...

Try pulling back to see matters more wide angle and not try and argue conclusions

Set No: 75946 Name: Hungarian Horntail Triwizard Challenge
*
75946-1 (Inv) Hungarian Horntail Triwizard Challenge
249 Parts, 4 Minifigures, 2019

* Change 1 Minifigure {hp179 Cedric Diggory - Black and Yellow Uniform (Undetermined Legs) to hp179a Cedric Diggory - Black and Yellow Uniform, Shirt Tail}

Comments from Submitter:
I think the one I found is understood to be the early variant and the change was made later because the shirt tail didn't make sense on some minifigs. I didn't discover the other, so I will leave that change for someone else to make.
