| It might be a good idea to have an admin only thread for responses about the
upcoming catalogue changes. That way, it won't get clogged up with loads
of people reproducing the entire first post and writing PLEASE DON’T or SOUNDS
GOOD at the bottom, making it easier to find the more important clarification,
explanation and update posts from Russell and/or other admins on the matter.
I know a new thread has recently appeared but it appears to be open to replies
and so expecting nobody to reply to it is a long shot.

| There is a GDPR issue if you cancel a drop shipper's order. If you cancel
and they have already changed their name and address to another customer's
details, then this is shown in the cancellation. They are giving out the name,
address and possibly the phone number of someone with no connection whatsoever
to the order.

Is anyone else getting this?

| I found a few of these stashed away. Has anyone seen then before? I can't
remember exactly which event they came from but the parts / figures they were
with date them to at least 8 years ago. They are obviously custom made / unofficial
keychains, a vinyl sticker behind die-cut acrylic. From the highlights on the
helmet I'm fairly sure it is the bricklink red classic Spaceman image.

work for BL.
On the inventory page, try entering 12.5 in the % off box. Any changes are rejected
and you are told "sale must be a number"!

| Minimum order value is £15.
It has been a year since I last did this promo. I'm doing a free new LEGO
HOUSE tile with any order, just put LEGO HOUSE in the comments box.
Ends midnight 21 May (UK time) or if I run out of spares and cancel this post.

Author: | yorbrick | Posted: | May 3, 2022 07:33 | Subject: | Percentage off in inventory | Viewed: | 57 times | Topic: | Selling
|
| Is there a setting that I cannot find to give a possibly more normal calculation
of the percentage off for a whole category you see in the inventory section of
a store?
Currently it reports the average percentage off of each lot, irrespective of
price and number of items in the lot. Is it possible to flick a setting somewhere
and get it to report the value of (total original - total current) / total original
x 100% ?
For example,
2 items in one lot at £25, with 20% off.
1 item in another lot at £1.
1 item in another lot at £1.
That inventory price was £52, and is now £42.
I would say that whole category has 19.2% off (or 19% if rounding). Whereas BL
reports it as just 7% off using (20%+0%+0%)/3. The percentage is a bit misleading
especially if you have lots of low value, small qty lots not on sale.

|
| When a seller refunds an order fully (when it has been paid by PayPal onsite),
allow the seller to cancel it no matter what status the buyer has set for the
order. BL knows the refund has gone through, so it is ridiculous sellers have
to ask buyers to remove received/completed status once they have their refund.
Or allow a seller to cancel it no matter what the status is set at after a full
refund is given.

| Every day there seem to be numerous threads created by studio users in the main
forum, not in the studio forum. They often get told where the studio forum is.
Why not advertise the studio forum with studio, so anyone needing help can click
through from within studio directly to the studio forum.

Author: | yorbrick | Posted: | Dec 7, 2021 07:19 | Subject: | Games are finally sets, but ... | Viewed: | 153 times | Topic: | Catalog | Status: | Open
|
| I see LEGO part based games have finally (a few weeks back) been moved from Gear
to a new category of Sets / Games.
Was this fairly major change ever announced? I see there was one reply to an
older thread saying a set had been transferred here: https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1314630
But shouldn't such significant reorganisation like this be announced / documented
somewhere? It seems a bit strange that there are recent admin posts about transparency
and communication yet things like this go apparently uncommunicated.
Also why does it have such a strange structure?
For example, these sets go in a named directory structure inside Sets / Games
/ ...
other games from a named theme don't get a directory such as
There is only one Star Wars game, one Harry Potter game, one City game, etc but
they get their own directory/folder whereas the Atlantis game doesn't get
a themed folder?
Then for some reason Chess (and a few others) is treated in a completely different
way
These go into the Sets / Theme Name / Games rather than Sets / Games / Theme
Name
Is there some reason that chess does not go into the Sets / Games structure?
That is, their theme trumps being a game in the catalogue structure, whereas
for other themes they are a game first, theme second.

| The dalek in
It was not added as a minifigure, just a list of parts.
The other dalek at the same scale is a minifigure.
We have many robots, cars, furniture, cups, and so on listed as minifigures.
Was there a reason the Dimensions dalek was not a minifigure, or just an error
when cataloging?

| When searching the catalogue, is there a way to include items that have had their
names changed? Old BL order emails include names but not part/fig numbers. If
you want to search for a part/fig that has had its name changed it can make it
difficult to find.

| Reading this ...
https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2517
in particular this sentence ...
If your business on BrickLink sells goods in any European Union country or Northern
Ireland (“EU”) ...
Does this mean NI buyers are no longer UK based but EU based? Can they see items
in a UK only store? My store is currently set as UK only, could a Northern Irish
buyer check whether they get shipping options?
Thanks!
