### NOTE: this issue has already been reported to Sheryl ###
### (BrickLink Customer Support) - her recommendation ###
### was to post it here for the site designers to see it as well ###
### on their to do list. Please vote to bring this forward! ###

Re-post of this issue under new conditions:
http://www.bricklink.com/messageThread.asp?ID=199360
(I just moved it from "Problem" to "Suggestions" to keep it alive)

The workaround posted by Russell does not work any longer, so the information
about the total number of wanted list entries is completely missing right now,
at least for catalog items without any sales history (past six month) AND no
current listings.
In addition, wanted list entries without specified color (either for items without
colors [like set, instructions, boxes, books, most gear] or parts without a restriction
to a specific color) seem to cause an issue here as well.

Please look into this and fix it - thanks!

See:

http://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=992401

The extended descriptions are barely "visible" any longer - see this example
in my store:
http://www.bricklink.com/store/home.page?p=Jan_K&itemID=93498204

The small link "[More]" neesds to be clicked (unlike before, when you accessed
a listing through the price guide:
http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?id=11140
or throuch a wanted item notification!) - and the result is a lame, tiny popup
window where all text and images are squeezed in.

I noticed that you can expand the actual description field a little (in vertical,
but not in horizontal extent) - but all embedded images (which I use a lot for
accurate item desriptions of valuable sets!) are squeezed into this tiny window.
A real pain!

So two steps to be done:

1) make the extended description visible immediately when a listing with exteded
description is accesses through a direct link (be it from the catalog entry,
the price guide or a wanted item notification) - AND

2) Replace this insufficuent popup view by the inline description as it was before
- with full size images embedded into the text, not scaled down to 699 Pixels
width. We are not in the VGA/SVGA/XGA era any longer...

P.S.: Why are the "standard" Bricklink URLs in forum posts like this one not
clickable any longer? I needed to add "http://" manually to make them clickable...

Whenever I want to reply to messages received in my BrickLink inbox, there's
only a "Reply" and a "Delete" button. The reply button sometimes adds the original
message as a quote, sometimes it doesn't. (Depending on the way the message
was sent, IIRC)

That's annoying because I want to decide myself if I need to quote the original
message.

A good solution would be to add a "Reply with Quote" button - but an alternate
(and maybe easier to implement) solution would be to ALWAYS add a quote of the
original message, like it is done with BL Forum messages for example.

Please make changes to the following inventory:

Set No: 6661 Name: TV Van / Mobile TV Studio
*
6661-1 (Inv) TV Van / Mobile TV Studio
69 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 1989
Sets: Town: Classic Town: Traffic

* Add 2 Part 4215apb12 Blue Panel 1 x 4 x 3 - Solid Studs with 'WDR' Pattern (Alternate) (match ID 1)
* Change 2 Part Blue 4215ap09 Panel 1 x 4 x 3 - Solid Studs with TV Logo Pattern {match ID 0 to 1}

Comments from Submitter:
An unknown number of sets (same box, same instructions) came with these two WDR panels inside the sealed LEGO polybag instead of the regular TV ones.
There have been found several copies of this set, at least one owner opened a sealed box and found these alternate items in the sealed bags.
This is a LEGO made substitution (hence the sealed bags, not just an addition of loose parts), but no info about this could be obtained from LEGO.

Dear Admins,

as mentioned as a sidenote in this post already:
http://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=958268

The wanted list information seems to display incorrectly for many sets - and
for a while already. See this example:

Set No: 4000012 Name: Inside Tour (LIT) Exclusive 2012 Edition - Piper Airplane
*
4000012-1 Inside Tour (LIT) Exclusive 2012 Edition - Piper Airplane
2012
Sets: LEGO Brand: LEGO Inside Tour
http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?S=4000012-1

This item is included in my wanted list (and very likely in a few others as well),
but this is not being displayed correctly - both the missing number in "My Wanted
List (1)" and the completely missing "On xx Wanted Lists" information seem to
be a technical issue here.

When browsing my own wanted lists, I see a correlation between this effect and
database entries without any price guide information and current listing for
sale - so maybe it's just a similar glitch like the "action item missing
on start page" issue where a certain condition was needed to display these correctly.

for a few parts, I see the ""On xx Wanted Lists" entry, but not the "(1)" in
"My Wanted List (1)" - see attached example images.
(Yes, all four of these items ARE included in a wanted list of mine!)

Please have a look into this.

Thanks!
Jan

First of all:

I really appreciate the system change that buyers are able to add a shipping
address different from their registered address during checkout for a while now.

I would prefer to go a little further, similar to a common eBay option:

I want to ba able to SAVE the shipping address entered during checkout and to
be able to select it for the next order as well - instead of entering it manually
every single time.

This comes very handy especially when buying with the cell phone shortly after
getting a wanted item notification - it's a pain adding a complete address
on a smartphone screen.

Best would be to have a register tab for saved shipping addresses where you could
add and/or remove all addresses you needed or plan to use again.

Thanks!

from parellels to set 1590-2, the original instructions and the original box I own: several images with THREE of these figures prove the need for this change:

Please expand the option to return an item back to store inventory after order
item removal requests to those requests started by sellers, too:
http://www.bricklink.com//help.asp?helpID=267

Currently, the seller can do so for OIRR started by buyers only - along with
his approval of the request.
While I see the logical background (a buyer should start the request if he doesn't
want an item anymore even though it's available - sellers only should start those
requests in case an item cannot be found) the real life is a little bit different:
In order to speed up the process, I usually start OIRRs upon buyer's request
and just let them approve the request.

Therefore, returning items back to inventory can actually be required for seller
initiated requests as well and should be enabled.

Thanks,
Jan

Basically, the subject already says it:

I would like to get email notifications whenever a Forum post of mine gets a
reply.
A desirable optional setting: email and/or BL message notification - including
the text of the reply (just like a facebook notification) and a link to the thread/post.

Various other optional features I can think of:

- notify for all new posts in threads I started
- notify for all new posts in threads I contributed to (like facebook)
- notify for all new (direct) replies to posts of mine
- notify for all new posts in the reply tree of posts of mine
- individual selection (by checkbox when posting) if I want any of the notifications
above for the very post I submit only.
