Hi I received an order today it mostly consisted of instructions. I purchased
the instructions to complete used sets but this is how I received them. All of
the other ones had fold parts I don’t want to be difficult however I do plan
on rebuilding them in to sets and selling them. Would this be enough to warrant
a partial refund?

LEGO folds many instructions so you can't knock them for the crease. Check
an 'unboxing' video on youtube to check how your instructions were originally
packaged.

However, these are damaged and should have been sold as such. Get a refund from
your seller. Consider it a service to other buyers. as maybe this seller will
learn and stop listing stuff like this without comments. There's a difference
between Used: "It's been flipped through before and stacked somewhere."
and Used: "It's been handled by a child and crinkled at the bottom of
a toy bin."

Thanks,
~Jen

If I bought used sets with those instructions I would be ok with them, as long
as you had a photo showing the instructions in the listing.

Damage should be noted by the seller, but honestly there is not enough information
here.

You say you ordered instructions? What was the total value? Were all of them
in the same condition?

I ordered 6 instructions, 2 parts, and 1 set. For the instructions it was $2.40,
the parts were $0.55, and the set was $10.91. The parts and set were in great
condition. The 2 instructions shown in the first post were the only ones I was
concerned about.

You are showing 60 cents worth of instructions, so you can rebuild a $10 set
to resell?

Basically yes

I'm just trying to put things in perspective here.

Also despite the low value of the instructions, few sellers seem to have them
in stock, so you have to weigh what it would have cost you to make a separate
order.

If someone wants a pristine copy of instructions, they can download them directly
from LEGO.

I wouldn't worry about it. I won't even message a seller unless it is
over a $1.00.

It costs me more to worry about it and write the email than I would get back.

If it bothers you, write to the seller. Most people aren't going to mind
giving you a refund.

I would let the seller know they should have been listed as "Fair"
or "Poor". If the rest of the order was exceptional then I would past
on feedback. It's not like this would be deserving of a neutral since we
only have two options (Neutral=Negative strike) and (Negative=Same Negative Strike).
This seller should go back through all their used instructions in ask "would
I want to receive this" and trash ones like this example.

Frankly? There's one brand New 70337 in Texas for 50 cents...

Don't bother buying Used for Instructions (apart really rare/expensive and
with details on their condition...)

Will do. I was trying to save on shipping as it was the only store that had the
combination of items I was looking for.

It depends on how the seller described them. Did the seller say they were unused
and pristine? As for the folds, the smaller instructions in particular are often
folded right out of the set, and some are even have dog-ears right out of the
box.

I don't think the value of those instruction makes it worth looking for a
refund. Also, if you are going to include them in used sets, a future buyer is
not likely going to be expecting pristine, flat instructions in a used set.

They left the comment section blank

For me I just wouldn’t bother, just state that they are wrinkly when selling
the set.

Yes of course, any order is complete wheter you get the bricks or a money refund
of the missing ones.

I wouldn't complete it - the seller might want to cancel and get credit for
the BL fees. You should be able to file it so you don't see it

Yea, that’s kind of messed up. Their post was July 29 and the. The negatives
started pouring in a few weeks later. Active since 2017 and just a smattering
of sales. Probably decided to give up and take whatever money they could.

What purpose does such reckless public speculation serve, I wonder

We all have these thoughts, but until there's conclusive knowledge
in the matter, avoiding publicly speculating is good rule of thumb. It's
defamatory and rumor mongering, at least.
