Prices are converted for these currencies using the latest exchange rates (updated daily) from Bloomberg Currency Data. There are 3 currency settings:

Viewing Currency:
  • All prices on the site are displayed to buyers in their local currency by default - either the currency of the country of the member's registered address on file or the currency of the country of the IP address for users who are not registered. You can change the currency in which prices are displayed throughout the site on the My Settings page.
  • Not all sellers accept the major currencies such as USD or EUR and only some sellers accept other currencies.
  • Converted prices shown throughout the site before an order is placed are approximate (rounded to 2 decimals). The ~ sign in front of converted prices denotes that the price is approximate. The actual converted price can contain up to 15 decimals.
  • On checkout, the buyer is shown converted order totals next to the list of currencies that the seller accepts.
  • Price guide prices are displayed to buyers in their local currency by default. To sellers, they are displayed in the seller's store base currency. The current items for sale use the most recent exchange rate in the system when converted to other currencies. The last 6 months sales items use the exchange rate that was as of the last batch in the order.
  • The exchange rate may change after the buyer has added items to their shopping cart and before an order is submitted.
Store Currency:
Sellers can accept and set their base store prices in any of the above currencies in their Store Settings.

  • Orders - The exchange rate of each order is set at the time of the order’s last batch. When adding to an existing order, the order total is recalculated with the latest exchange rate when the order is submitted. All order prices are in the seller's base currency; however, the order's grand total is in the currency that the buyer selected for payment. The grand total is calculated by converting the base grand total using the exchange rate of the latest order batch. An order has 3 different currency fields:
    • Base Currency - This is the currency which store prices are in when the order is submitted. All order prices except the converted grand total are in the base currency.
    • Pay In Currency - The currency the buyer selected to pay for the order at checkout before submitting the order. Sellers can change it on their Orders Received page. page after enabling the currency column in Order Settings. The converted grand total will be recalculated to the new currency using the exchange rate as of the last order batch.
  • Shipping Costs and Additional Charges - Shipping costs, insurance, additional charges and credit are entered in the seller's base currency and converted to the currency which the buyer selected to pay for the order in using the exchange rate of the latest order batch.
  • Coupons - Coupons are issued and redeemed in the seller's base currency.
  • BrickStore - The BrickStore software may or may not support multiple currencies.
  • Fees - All fees paid to BrickLink are calculated and paid in US dollars. The system calculates the fee in US dollar using the exchange rate of the latest order batch. When an order is added to, the fee is recalculated using the exchange rate of the latest order batch.
Wanted List Currency:
In your Wanted List Settings, you can select in which currency you want your wanted list max prices. The system compares your wanted list max price to store prices by converting both prices to the US Dollar.
