You can select to receive announcements from a store when adding a store to your list of Favorite Stores.
Buyer: How to start receiving announcements from a store:
There are 2 ways to start receiving announcements from a store:
  • Add a store to your Favorite Stores list and select the "I want to receive announcements from this store" option.
  • For stores already on your Favorite Stores list, check a checkbox under heading "Announcements" by the store(s) you want to start receiving announcements from.
Buyer: How to stop receiving announcements from a store:
There are 2 ways to stop receiving announcements from a store:
  • On your Favorite Stores list, uncheck a checkbox under heading "Announcements" by the store(s) you want to stop receiving announcements from.
  • On the bottom of each e-mail you receive, click on the unsubscription link that's provided. Clicking on the link doesn't require you to login but it is password-protected so that only you can complete the unsubscription.
Seller: How to send an announcement to my mailing list:
There is a special Contact Mailing List Form provided for this purpose. The form shows you the number of members who are opted-in to receive announcements from you, the number of which are your past customers as well as how many announcements you sent and the date of the last one sent.

E-Mail Subject:

The e-mail subject always starts with a default subject prefix "BrickLink {my store name} Msg #{next number of my announcement} - " plus an additional text you supply. If you select to post a copy of your message to the discussion forum then the default subject prefix is omitted.

Posting a copy to the Discussion Forum:

Below the body of your message, you have an option to send a copy to yourself as well as post a copy of your announcement to the Discussion Forum. If this option is chosen, an additional selection of discussion groups to post your message to is provided. You should select the most appropriate group depending on the content of your announcement.

Including only Past Customers:

Below the body of your message, you have an option to include only your past customers. If this option is selected then only those members who have ordered from your store at least once will be notified. These include all your past customers who ever ordered from you (all past orders including purged orders not including purged cancelled orders).
