| | I became a AFOL relatively recently. My son is 14 years old, and from the age of 5 or so, he was given Lego sets as birthday and Christmas presents. I hadn't looked at Lego since I played with my brother's Lego back in the 70's. So one day, a few years back, I was shopping at TRU for a present for my son Daniel, and probably stood slack-jawed in the Lego aisle for quite some time! Star Wars! Harry Potter! Trains!! These were NOT the Lego of my childhood....these were so cool! Of course I had to buy some...and then some more....and now for the past year or two "my" collection has surpassed Daniel's collection. Of course what is 'mine' is his to play with also. I think my favorite sets/themes are Monorail, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Western, Trains.....the list goes on from there.
