| Please make changes to the following inventory:
* Delete 4 Part x88 Black Rubber Band Small (Square Cross Section) (Extra)
* Change {4 to 8} Part Black x88 Rubber Band Small (Square Cross Section)

The official piece count for this set is 146, including the spare rubber bands.
The box shows the piece count of 138, instead including none of the rubber bands -- this is clearly an error. The correct piece count is shown in this catalogue: https://archive.org/details/Lego-Shop-At-Home-summer-2001-Bionicle-Cover/page/n47/mode/2up

I came to update this to say 4 spares, but saw your update in the change log.
Only 4 are required to build both the creatures, and to make the combined build.
Which should take precedent here? Separating the 4 unused bands would be more
useful for me.

is what takes precedence.
