The earliest version of this part was manufactured with ABS and is hard and rigid.
Colors known to have ABS versions are white, red, and pearl light gray.
To add: yellow. I just received 2 of them

Unless you just pulled them straight out of a sealed set, the note will not be
updated. As far as we know, the rigid part was only used for the first couple
of years of existence of the part which included only white, red, and pearl light
gray. All of those colors have been proven with parts from new sealed sets. The
part in yellow did not appear in those first couple of years. It appeared in
2008. Also, there is no early element number for the part in yellow when the
other rigid versions were made, so it is very unlikely that it exists.

You can post pictures of what you have if you would like to, but my first thoughts
are you have a clone part.
