| I display all my LEGO models on display stands, whether they be original sets
or MOCs. Among them is Lego set 75135 Obi-Wan's Jedi Interceptor. This set
is somewhat heavy toward the front and is difficult to balance on it's stand
because of that. The image below shows the stand type I currently use and an
alternate that I am attempting to design for it.
The black stand on the left is my current standard design. The red one on the
right is the alternate. The problem with the original stand design is that it
has too much flexibility in the column that supports the head. The model is too
wobbly when on the stand and can topple forward with the slightest touch.
I am thinking that I can make a sturdier stand, if I replace the technic connectors
with round 2 x 2 bricks. That should make for a stiffer support column that wouldn't
allow the model to wobble so much. The thing is with the current alternate design,
is that the model would be displayed level with the surface it is standing on.
I would like to have the model tilted upward at the front. Any ideas what I could
add at the top of the stand to give the model a slight upward tilt at it's
front?

| Depending on the exact angles required, the bent technic connectors can also
be useful.
